In this article,we carry out stochastic comparisons on the maximum order statistics arising from two batches of multiple-outlier gamma random variables with different shape and scale *** is proved that,under certain conditions,the majorization order between the vectors of shape parameters together with the weak majorization order[p-larger order]between the vectors of scale parameters implies the likelihood ratio order[hazard rate order]between the largest order *** results established here strengthen and generalize some known ones in the literature.

Electric characteristic and cavitation bubble dynamics using underwater pulsed discharge

Underwater pulsed discharge is widely applied in medicine, machining, and material *** induced cavitation bubble and subsequent cavitation collapse are considered the major motivations behind these applications. This paper presents an underwater pulsed discharge *** experimental setup is established to induce and investigate the cavitation bubble assisted with a high-speed camera. Three aspects, including the characteristic of the discharge with different applied voltages and conductivities, the evolution of the cavitation bubble profile, and the energy efficiency of cavitation bubble inducing, are investigated, respectively. Especially, the mechanism of pre-discharge time delay in the low field intensity case is explained using the Joule heat *** results show the validity of the underwater pulsed discharger and experimental setup. The present underwater pulsed discharger is proved to be a simple, portable, and easy-to-implement device for the investigation of cavitation bubble dynamics.

data mining technology has yielded fruitful results in the area of crime discovery and intelligent decision making. Credit card is one of the most popular payment methods, providing great convenience and efficiency. However, due to the vulnerabilities of credit card transactions, criminals are able to commit fraud to infringe on the interests of the state and citizens. How to discover potential fraudsters while guaranteeing high efficiency becomes an extremely valuable problem to solve. In this work, we talk about the advantages and disadvantages of different models to detect credit card fraud. We first introduce the data preprocessing measures for handling imbalanced fraud detection dataset. Then we compare related models to implement fraudster recognition. We also propose a feature selection approach based on combined feature weights. Today, Big data brings benefits to many areas of scientific research. However, processing these large amounts of data often requires extensive computing time and a large storage space. Global feature analysis is considered to be universal in traditional super resolution methods, but it is not applicable to Big data. There remains a viewpoint that it is not necessary to address all data equally and impartially. Focusing on useful information can make the massive data analysis possible and more effective. In this paper, we consider the significant regions, and thus, we propose a new super resolution approach that uses significant and general information. Under the framework of a convolutional neural network, the training process is performed on the significant parts of the training data set, and the reconstruction process considers significant parts separately;then, a super resolution image will be obtained according to each different demand. This concept is easy to understand, but it can be achieved only via the Big data approach with many similar images on the Internet and the effective deep learning algorithm. Experiments show that our new approach can reduce the testing time and obtain a high-quality reconstructed image. © 2018 IEEE.

Short Text Topic Modeling Techniques, Applications, and Performance: A Survey

Analyzing short texts infers discriminative and coherent latent topics that is a critical and fundamental task since many real-world applications require semantic understanding of short texts. Traditional long text topic modeling algorithms (e.g., PLSA and LDA) based on word co-occurrences cannot solve this problem very well since only very limited word co-occurrence information is available in short texts. Therefore, short text topic modeling has already attracted much attention from the machine learning research community in recent years, which aims at overcoming the problem of sparseness in short texts. In this survey, we conduct a comprehensive review of various short text topic modeling techniques proposed in the literature. We present three categories of methods based on Dirichlet multinomial mixture, global word co-occurrences, and self-aggregation, with example of representative approaches in each category and analysis of their performance on various tasks. We develop the first comprehensive open-source library, called STTM, for use in Java that integrates all surveyed algorithms within a unified interface, benchmark datasets, to facilitate the expansion of new methods in this research field. Finally, we evaluate these state-of-the-art methods on many real-world datasets and compare their performance against one another and versus long text topic modeling algorithm. © 2020 IEEE.

The binocular stereo vision is the lowest cost sensor for obtaining 3D *** the weakness of long‐distance measurement and stability,the improvement of accuracy and stability of stereo vision is urgently required for application of precision *** address the challenges of stereo vision long‐distance measurement and stable perception without hardware upgrade,inspired by hawk eyes,higher resolution perception and the adaptive HDR(High Dynamic Range)were introduced in this *** the function from physiological structure of‘deep fovea’and‘shallow fovea’of hawk eye,the higher resolution reconstruction method in this paper was aimed at ac-curacy *** by adjustment of pupils,the adaptive HDR method was proposed for high dynamic range optimisation and stable *** various light conditions,compared with default stereo vision,the accuracy of proposed algorithm was improved by 28.0%evaluated by error ratio,and the stability was improved by 26.56%by disparity *** fixed distance measurement,the maximum improvement was 78.6%by standard *** on the hawk‐eye‐inspired perception algorithm,the point cloud of orchard was improved both in quality and *** hawk‐eye‐inspired perception algorithm contributed great advance in binocular 3D point cloud recon-struction in orchard navigation map.
