3D object detection is an essential perception task in autonomous driving to understand the environments. The Bird’s-Eye-View (BEV) representations have significantly improved the performance of 3D detectors with camera inputs on popular benchmarks. However, there still lacks a systematic understanding of the robustness of these vision-dependent BEV models, which is closely related to the safety of autonomous driving systems. In this paper, we evaluate the natural and adversarial robustness of various representative models under extensive settings, to fully understand their behaviors influenced by explicit BEV features compared with those without BEV. In addition to the classic settings, we propose a 3D consistent patch attack by applying adversarial patches in the 3D space to guarantee the spatiotemporal consistency, which is more realistic for the scenario of autonomous driving. With substantial experiments, we draw several findings: 1) BEV models tend to be more stable than previous methods under different natural conditions and common corruptions due to the expressive spatial representations;2) BEV models are more vulnerable to adversarial noises, mainly caused by the redundant BEV features;3) Camera-LiDAR fusion models have superior performance under different settings with multi-modal inputs, but BEV fusion model is still vulnerable to adversarial noises of both point cloud and image. These findings alert the safety issue in the applications of BEV detectors and could facilitate the development of more robust models. Code available at https: //***/zzj403/BEV_Robust. It is commonly agreed that a recommender system based on knowledge graph (KG) should not only use user-item interactions, but also take side information into account to deal with the problem of data sparsity. However, existing KG-based models present unique challenges that have the shortcoming of cold start and redundant iterations. To address the issue, we propose a Feature Fusion-based Knowledge Graph Attention Network (FF-KGAT) for the recommendation. FF-KGAT handles the cold-start problem through introducing user characteristics to fully explore the information of users. Additionally, FF-KGAT introduces the feature fusion graph, which removes slight nodes to obtain fewer iterations. Experimental results show that the proposed model significantly outperforms baseline methods. Particularly, the ndcg is increased by 9.83% and 10.25% on two public datasets, compared with the best performance of existing methods. © 2022 ACM.

Uniform linear array (ULA) fitting (UF) principle is a newly proposed sparse array (SA) design scheme that aims to design SAs using cascaded ULAs, based on which a number of SAs with desired capacity are devised. In this letter, we aim to introduce the UF idea to devise sparse MIMO arrays with reduced mutual coupling and increased uniform degrees of freedom. However, existing sparse MIMO array design approach needs the transmit and receive arrays in MIMO radar have hole-free difference coarrays (DCAs), which is no longer the best choice for UF principle due to the fact that SAs designed via UF cannot guarantee hole-free DCAs. In this regard, considering the difference coarray of the sum coarray (DCSC) concept, a novel sparse MIMO array design strategy which is suitable for UF principle is proposed. Based on the novel strategy and UF principle, a new sparse MIMO array is designed. EWT: Efficient Wavelet-Transformer for Single Image Denoising

Transformer-based image denoising methods have achieved encouraging results in the past year. However, it must uses linear operations to model long-range dependencies, which greatly increases model inference time and consumes GPU storage space. Compared with convolutional neural network-based methods, current Transformer-based image denoising methods cannot achieve a balance between performance improvement and resource consumption. In this paper, we propose an Efficient Wavelet Transformer (EWT) for image denoising. Specifically, we use Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and Inverse Wavelet Transform (IWT) for downsampling and upsampling, respectively. This method can fully preserve the image features while reducing the image resolution, thereby greatly reducing the device resource consumption of the Transformer model. Furthermore, we propose a novel Dual-stream Feature Extraction Block (DFEB) to extract image features at different levels, which can further reduce model inference time and GPU memory usage. Experiments show that our method speeds up the original Transformer by more than 80%, reduces GPU memory usage by more than 60%, and achieves excellent denoising results. This paper studies channel estimation techniques to recover the received signal more accurately and quickly. The classical Least Squares (LS) and Linear Minimum Mean-squared Error (LMMSE) estimation have the problems of poor estimation performance and high complexity. An Fast-LMMSE channel estimation algorithm is proposed to balance the performance and complexity. In order to apply it to the actual system, the corresponding pilot is also designed. Simulation results are provided and the comparison shows the performance gains achieved by the proposed technique over LS and MMSE estimation in SISO and MIMO communication systems. © 2022, The Authors. To improve the performance of the NOx sensor, a combined model based on the electrochemical model and the diffusion model is developed for the NOx pumping cell of the NOx sensor. Considering that a small amount of oxygen enters the third chamber and part of NO is decomposed in the second chamber, the electrochemical model simultaneously considers the reactions of NO and oxygen at cathode, and the diffusion model additionally considers the diffusion of oxygen and the decomposition of NO. To validate the model at different gas concentrations, the sensor is mounted on the designed test rig. Then, the simulation results are compared with experimental data from the test rig and good agreement is obtained. In addition, three key parameters of the model of the NOx pumping cell are analyzed. Restoration of User Videos Shared on Social Media

User videos shared on social media platforms usually suffer from degradations caused by unknown proprietary processing procedures, which means that their visual quality is poorer than that of the originals. This paper presents a new general video restoration framework for the restoration of user videos shared on social media platforms. In contrast to most deep learning-based video restoration methods that perform end-to-end mapping, where feature extraction is mostly treated as a black box, in the sense that what role a feature plays is often unknown, our new method, termed Video restOration through adapTive dEgradation Sensing (VOTES), introduces the concept of a degradation feature map (DFM) to explicitly guide the video restoration process. Specifically, for each video frame, we first adaptively estimate its DFM to extract features representing the difficulty of restoring its different regions. We then feed the DFM to a convolutional neural network (CNN) to compute hierarchical degradation features to modulate an end-to-end video restoration backbone network, such that more attention is paid explicitly to potentially more difficult to restore areas, which in turn leads to enhanced restoration performance. We will explain the design rationale of the VOTES framework and present extensive experimental results to show that the new VOTES method outperforms various state-of-the-art techniques both quantitatively and qualitatively. Eu-Mof Based Fluorescence Probe for Ratiometric and Visualization Detection of Copper Ions

In this work, a novel and effective ratio fluorescent probe Eu-BTB was prepared for the detection of Cu2+ using 1,3, 5-tri (4-carboxyphenyl) benzene (H3BTB) as ligand and Eu3+ as metal framework, which showed excellent fluorescence performance in the detection of Cu2+. The BTB of the probe can achieve "antenna effect" with Eu3+, which can sensitize Eu3+ emission effectively while maintaining its own emission. Copper ions can competitively bind to BTB, thus inhibiting the antenna effect. In the concentration range of 0.05-10 μM, the ratio of fluorescence intensity and copper ion concentration showed a good linear relationship, and the detection limit was as low as 10 nM, corresponding time was 3 minutes. The fluorescence probe has been successfully applied to the detection of copper ions in water in different environments, the standard method Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS) proved that the results were reliable. which confirmed the potential of Eu-BTB probe in the rapid and accurate detection of Cu2+ in different environmental water samples. © 2022, The Authors.
