Ant colony optimization (ACO for short) has been prov.d a successful meta-heuristic by a huge of empirical studies. This paper discusses the termination criteria of ACO and therefore prov.des research ideas to other meta-heuristics. A general discussion about four types of termination criteria has been firstly discussed in this article. Then some measures of convergence based on pheromone have been introduced. And a new termination criterion based on Bayesian approach is presented. Finally a new convergence proof for a class of ACO algorithms is presented. © 2007 IEEE.

Based on the analysis of color histogram for image retrieval, a new descriptor, bit-plane distribution feature(BPDF), is proposed in this paper. The image is firstly divided into eight bit-planes. Meantime, the Gray code of bit-planes is used to avoid the effect of changes in the intensity values on bit-planes. Then, according to the distribution of each bit-plane, a feature vector is constructed by the first four significant planes which contain most of the structural information of the image. Finally, the Mahalanobis distance is adopted to measure the similarity because of the correlation between the concerned vectors after designing a correlation-weighted matrix. Comparisons are conducted between BPDF and other descriptors. Experimental results show that the proposed method prov.des more significantly retrieval results than the traditional ones. © 2009 IEEE.

Event anaphora resolution plays an important role in discourse analysis. In comparison with general noun phrases, pronouns carry little information of themselves, resolving the event pronouns is a more difficult task. This paper proposes a machine learning-based framework for event pronoun resolution. All kinds of features, including both flat and structural features, are explored for event pronoun resolution. Experiments on OntoNotes corpus show that both flat and structural features are very effective for this task. © 2011 IEEE.

Coreference resolution is an important subtask in natural language processing systems. The process of it is to find whether two expressions in natural language refer to the same entity in the world. Machine learning approaches to this problem have been reasonably successful, operating primarily by recasting the problem as a classification task. A great deal of research has been done on this task in English, using approaches ranging from those based on linguistics to those based on machine learning. In Chinese, however, much less work has been done in this area. The lack of public resources is a big problem in the research of Chinese NLP. The other problem is that some features are more difficult to get than those features of English. In this paper, We present a noun phrase coreference system that refers to the work of Soon et al. (2001). We also explore the impact of various features on our system's performance. Experiments on the Chinese portion of OntoNotes 3.0 show that the platform achieves a good performance. © 2011 IEEE.

This paper proposes a new approach to dynamically determine the tree span for tree kernel-based semantic relation extraction. It exploits constituent dependencies to keep the nodes and their head children along the path connecting the two entities, while removing the noisy information from the syntactic parse tree, eventually leading to a dynamic syntactic parse tree. This paper also explores entity features and their combined features in a unified parse and semantic tree, which integrates both structured syntactic parse information and entity-related semantic information. Evaluation on the ACE RDC 2004 corpus shows that our dynamic syntactic parse tree outperforms all previous tree spans, and the composite kernel combining this tree kernel with a linear state-of-the-art feature-based kernel, achieves the so far best performance. © 2008. In reality, different persons often have the same person name. The Person Cross Document Co-reference Resolution is a task, which requires that all and only the textual mentions of an entity of type Person be individuated in a collection of text documents. In this paper, we implement a Chinese Person Name Cross Document Co-reference Resolution System. First, we utilize name identification module to recognize all person names of the texts, and then classify the document collection of same person name by rules preliminarily, and at last, we compute similarities of each classification based on VSM, according to the prior similarities, the system get the final classification results. We test the system on 30 usual Chinese names of the corpus prov.ded by CLP, and average F measure is 85.9%. © 2011 IEEE.

Person re-identification (re-ID), which is to connect pedestrians with the same identity in different scenarios, has been more widely used in case detection of security. The re-ID datasets and technology have contributed greatly to advancing community research. There are currently no availab.e low-light datasets due to the difficulty of collecting and lab.ling images of people in low-light scenes. As a result, the vast majority of current re-ID methods do not have the recognition capability in low-light scenes. However, the recognition of persons in the low-light surveillance video has become an important issue to be solved for urban security, which plays an important role in improv.ng the crime-solving rate of public safety departments and protecting people's lives and property. In this paper, we propose an Adversarial Recovery Network (ARN) that, unlike other approaches, enables a re-ID model with low-light recognition capability without the need for low-light data. Specifically, we first degrade the original images to generate multi-level low-light images;then obtain recovered images through the adversarial recovery module, and finally input the recovered images into the CNN network to extract pedestrian recognition knowledge. In addition, to validate the effectiveness of the proposed method, we also propose a low-light re-ID dataset (LOLR). Extensive experiments on LOLR have shown that our method outperforms other competitors by a wide margin. The dataset and code are availab.e online at https://***/xl02111/ARN. © 2023 ACM.

Opportunistic networks are sparse wireless networks which have no complete path from the source to the destination most of the time. Many applications require the support of delay constrained routing mechanism which can prov.de acceptable and resilient services in the challenged environments. We proposed Adaptive Seed Spray (ASS) to achieve the delay constraint with low cost in dynamic opportunistic networks. ASS will estimate the routing cost in source node, and use a small number of seed nodes to spray message copies in order to reduce redundant copies. Furthermore, ASS will make spray decisions in relay nodes which have the latest information of the networking conditions. Simulation results have shown that ASS has prominent superiority in routing cost and adaptability, and it is an efficient delay-bounded multi-copy routing protocol for opportunistic networks especially for dynamic conditions. © 2012 Binary information Press.

In order to uphold the concept of high-quality service development and improv. the service quality of hotel industry in Heilongjiang prov.nce, on the basis of customer satisfaction theory and combined with the development status of hotel industry in Heilongjiang prov.nce, this paper uses keyword extraction algorithm, AHP analytic hierarchy process and emotional analysis technology to extract 12000 Hotel commentary data on OTA platform from equipment and facilities, services, transportation location, catering, price and health care. Six levels and 20 indicators are used to construct the evaluation model of hotel customer satisfaction in Heilongjiang prov.nce. It is found that the factors that have significant impact on high-star hotels are relatively not obvious. The analysis results show that the overall customer satisfaction of hotels in Heilongjiang prov.nce is relatively high, but there are still some improv.ments. For high-star hotels, we should pay more attention to equipment, facilities and service factors. Middle and low star hotels should pay attention to traffic location and price factors. Finally, according to the conclusion of the model and local characteristics, the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are proposed. © 2019 IEEE.

Self-organization feature mapping (SOFM) networks have strong ability for self-learning and self-adaptive. According to the characteristics of human thought, this paper constructed a kind of combined criterion, which may be used to guide the learning of self-organization feature mapping network. Then this paper presents subsection algorithm, amalgamation algorithm and dynamical adaptive algorithm for SOFM networks so as to solve a kind of problems of classification rule mining. Finally, a practical example shows its flexibility and practicability.
