This paper proposes to use a convolution kernel over parse tree to model syntactic structure information for pronoun resolution. Our study reveals that the syntactic structure features embedded in a parse tree are very effective for pronoun resolution and these features can be well captured by the context-sensitive convolution tree kernel. Evaluation on the ACE 2003 corpus shows that among all structured syntactic feature space, shortest path tree achieves the best performance. Then we incorporate more features into SPT, result shows that SPT can use successfully with normal features. Finally, we compare our system with other pronoun resolution systems, our results are outstanding in success rate than normal features and tree kernel-based method of Yang.

Medical informatization takes a key role in medical and healthcare industries, which is a necessary way of improving service quality and treatment experience in a hospital. In this paper, we design and implement an integrated and intelligent healthcare system with mobile services, specific to dental healthcare. The developed system contains four components, including WeChat official account, intelligent question and answering (Q&A) system, mobile follow-up care mini program and AI speech assistant. The developed WeChat official account and intelligent Q&A system provide a large amount of professional knowledge on dental health, which can help narrow the knowledge gap between doctors and patients. The two components facilitate patients to follow up our applications without downloading any extra softwares, as the developed functions (e.g., voice service) are provided through mobile services. These two components also facilitate follow-up management, decreasing manpower and resource usage in hospital. Our system is developed to serve patients as well as dentists, and provides a group of interactive healthcare services in a low cost. In this paper, we elab.rate the whole system architecture and implementation detail of each component. Biomedical ontology matching aims at determining the heterogeneous biomed-ical concepts, and bridging the semantic gap between heterogeneous biomedical ontologies. The foundation of a biomedical ontology matching technique is the Biomedical Concept Similarity Measure (BCSM), which calculates the similarity value between two biomed-ical concepts. Since various BCSMs have different advantages, usually several BCSMs are aggregated together to improve the result’s confidence. How to tune the aggregating weights to ensure the quality of the alignment is called biomedical ontology meta-matching problem, which is a challenge in the ontology matching domain. Currently, researchers mainly focus on how to tune the aggregating weights for various similarity measures to improve the quality of the ontology alignments. However, the ignorance of the effects brought about by different biomedical concept mapping’s preference on different similarity measures significantly reduces the alignment’s quality. To overcome this drawback, in this work, we formally define the biomedical ontology meta-matching problem, and then present an Ordered Weighted Average (OWA) based approach to automatically aggregate various biomedical concept similarity measures. In our method, the aggregating weights determined for each concept mapping is associated with the ordered position of the similarity value instead of a particular concept similarity measure. The experiment utilizes the large biomed track provided by Ontology Alignment Evaluation Initiative (OAEI) to test our proposal’s performance, and the experimental results show the effectiveness of our proposal. © 2019, Taiwan Ubiquitous information. IPv6-based dynamic quality of service control strategy for wireless network

On the basis of the architecture for fast handover of hierarchical IPv6, a coordinated call admission control mechanism was presented, providing an end-to-end RSVP context transfer for real-time applications to overcome the weakness of the context transfer protocol which cannot meet the need of end-to-end QoS mechanisms because the contexts were only transferred between the previous and new access routers. The mechanism decreased the delay caused by re-initiate QoS signaling from scratch to reestablish QoS forwarding process, and minimized the handover service disruption. The signaling overhead and handover latencies could be reduced by adopting t he fast handover for hierarchical IPv6 architecture. The approach was compared with the re-initiating RSVP signaling to reestablish QoS states using network simulator ns2. The numerical results showed that the scheme has the less latency and packet loss than that of the re-initiating approach. © 2010 ACADEMY PUBLISHER.

In the application scenario of robot autonomous tasks, the robot needs to be able to complete calibration online and automatically to achieve self-maintenance, which differs from traditional robot hand-eye calibration in that the traditional robot hand-eye calibration requires a dedicated calibration board to assist offline completion. Aiming at the problem that the existing self-calibration methods cannot be optimized as a whole, which leads to low accuracy and instability of the solution, a multi-stage objective function optimization self-calibration algorithm is proposed, which describes the solution of hand-eye self-calibration as a minimization objective function problem involving multiple stages. An optimization method based on the minimization of re-projection error is designed to compensate for the results, which uses an efficient Oriented fast and rotated brief (ORB) feature extraction algorithm and introduces a scoring mechanism to retain more correct matching points in the feature matching stage. Two different types of experiments were designed to validate our method. One is a single camera dataset experiment, which shows that our method is more accurate and robust than the existing self-calibration method;the other is an application platform experiment, which verifies the feasibility and availab.lity of our method. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

A particle swarm optimization (PSO)-based automatic system to determine the number of optimal band sets and corresponding bands is proposed. A simple searching criterion function, called minimum estimated abundance covariance (MEAC), requiring class signatures only, is used in this method. The experimental results show that the PSO-based algorithm outperforms the popular sequential forward selection (SFS) method. The two PSOs can achieve the balance between the two objectives, and it may provide even better accuracy than a single-objective PSO. © 2013 IEEE.

This research aims to recognize the defect of concrete materials using an ultrasonic computed tomography imaging technique. Filtered Backprojection method was used to reconstruct concrete images in this paper. Ultrasonic time of flight data was measured to reconstruct computer tomography images. 306 data paths were obtained in total by manual scanning for one computer tomography image. We examined the effect of the interpolation data as the density of time of flight data has a considerable effect on image quality. The feasibility of concrete reconstruction system and time of flight data interpolation were examined in detail using numerical and concrete phantoms.

For the single-user multi-terminal scenario, a novel user service behavior prediction and optimization algorithm is proposed in this paper, which can realize the accurate prediction of service requirements and optimal selection of service terminals, so as to improve user QoE effectively. Firstly, by using an adaptive feedback based weight correction method, a modified entropy weighted Markov model is formulated to accurately predict user future service states. Secondly, according to the above prediction results, the corresponding heavy-tailed model is used to estimate the service duration. Moreover, by integrating service preferences and terminal attributes, a matching metric of services and terminals is established, and then a terminal selection model is proposed for recommending the optimal service terminal to each user. Simulation results show the effectiveness of proposed algorithm.

With the deeply research on intrusion detection techniques and the widely use of intrusion detection products, the study of evaluation techniques of intrusion detection systems became important. In the paper, relative works of the evaluation of intrusion detection systems was introduced. The primary aspects of intrusion detection systems in an evaluation were discussed. An evaluation system for intrusion detection systems was proposed. In the system, a supervisor module controls the whole system. The supervisor module schedules the traffic control module and the attack emulation module. The data in the evaluation environment are recorded and input to the evaluation module. The functions such as emulation of network traffic and host usage, emulation of attacks and evaluation report generation are implemented.

Infrared small target detection plays a key role in infrared precision guidance and infrared early-warning system. It has been a difficult problem for researchers to study on how to detect targets accurately at a long distance as early as possible. Most of the existing algorithms can detect small targets in simple backgrounds, but they would fail on the detection when the background clutters are chaotic and the signal to clutter ratio (SCR) is low. Therefore, we propose a new infrared small target detection method which called a directional-progressive search (DPS) method. Our method derives from a fact that a small target is an isotropic Gaussian distribution at a long distance, while clutters show different characteristics in different directions. Based on this difference, we decompose the original image into first-order sub-images with different directions by using a first-order directional derivative (FODD) filter. Then zero-crossing points are detected in each direction step by step to distinguish small targets and background clutters. After screening progressively, the positions where existing zero-crossing points in every sub-image can be confirmed as targets. Experimental results show that our method acquires higher detection rates and lower false alarm rates compared with other methods. At the same time, our method can still keep better performance under various complex backgrounds. The robustness of our method is strong. © 2018 IEEE.
