We introduce a new logic programming paradigm-answer set programming with uncertain facts (LPuF for short). A LPuF program is an extension of answer set programs (ASP for short). We first define the syntax of LPuF programs. Then, we propose preferred query semantics and preferred solution semantics of LPuF programs to address the issues of personal preference-dependent query generation and solution ranking in recommendation systems. Those semantics are based on the answer set semantics of logic programs. Correspondingly, we then present two algorithms which are used for computing preferred queries and preferred solutions respectively. Finally, we conclude the paper and present future works. © 2012 IEEE.

Although recent years have seen much progress in semantic role labeling in English, only a little research focuses on Chinese dependency relationship. This paper presents an SRL system on Chinese dependency relation by using the similar method in an English SRL system. We also explore dependency-based predicate analysis in Chinese SRL. We perform our experiments on two datasets. Our results show that dependency-based Chinese SRL is not only feasible but also superior to the constituent-based SRL in some respects.

This paper addresses an effective issue of content-based image retrieval (CBIR) by presenting Fuzzy Hamming Distance (FHD). Firstly, the theory of FHD is introduced, which includes degree of difference and cardinality of the fuzzy set, and then follows defuzzification of FHD which is used as a fuzzy similarity measure. In the experiment, the image retrieval results show this method can be employed to capture implicitly some semantic contents of the image in addition to other features such as color, texture and shape. Finally, an implemented prototype system demonstrates a promising retrieval performance for a test database, as compared with FUZZYCLUB system. © 2007 IEEE.

Semantic-based image retrieval bridges the gap between visual features and human understanding of image in the field of image retrieval. Image annotation is one important technology of image retrieval based on the semantic. This paper proposed one method to realize semi-automatic image annotation with the tool Support Vector Machine (SVM). The image collection was divided into two parts, one for manual annotation and the other for testing. After being classified by SVM, the output was changed into a probability, and K-NN algorithm was applied to get the keywords for unlabeled images. The experiments show that the approach is feasible. © 2007 IEEE.

Transmembrane proteins play an important role in cellular energy production, signal transmission, metabolism. Existing machine learning methods are difficult to model the global correlation of the membrane protein sequence, and they also can not improve the quality of the model from sophisticated sequence features. To address these problems, in this paper we proposed a novel method by a feedback conditional random fields (FCRF) to predict helix boundaries of α-helix transmembrane protein. A feedback mechanism was introduced into multi-level conditional random fields. The results of lower level model were used to calculate new feedback features to enhance the ability of basic conditional random fields. One wide-used dataset DB1 was used to validate the performance of the method. The method achieved 95% on helix location accuracy. Compared with the other predictors, FCRF ranks first on the accuracy of helix location. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2015.

Variable-order fractional derivative rutting depth prediction of asphalt pavement based on the RIOHTrack full-scale track

Rutting deformation is typical damage to asphalt pavement and can be quantitatively described as the time-varying mechanical deformation feature of the asphalt mixture during the creep process. First,a nonlinear viscoelastic creep model is established based on the Caputo variable-order fractional *** fractional order in this model is not fixed and is defined as a time-varying function. The time-dependent mechanical properties of asphalt mixtures are efectively reflected. Based on the modified Burgers model, the variable-order function is revised to a linear form. Second, the variable-order fractional Burgers rutting model is obtained by fitting the test data of the RIOHTrack full-scale track. The Levenberg-Marquardt optimization algorithm is used to analyze the test data and the corresponding parameters to obtain more accurate and applicable variable-order fractional rutting mechanics and empirical models for diferent asphalt pavement structures. Finally, according to the classification of the pavement structure, structures III and VI are taken as examples. The rutting prediction and comparison results of several representative pavement structures are obtained to verify that the proposed rutting prediction model can also accurately predict all road sections of RIOHTrack. The new model is also compared with the rutting model of the mechanistic-empirical pavement design guide, the fractional-order Burgers rutting model, and the modified Burgers rutting model. The fitting results are evaluated using the determination coefficient R2. The results show that the variable-order fractional Burgers rutting model proposed in this study exhibits a better fit and is more applicable to describe the rutting deformation of asphalt pavement.

The generalized hypercube is an excellent interconnection network since it includes many interconnection topologies and it can be used to construct many data center networks. Considering the probability that, in general, all neighbors of one vertex becoming faulty at the same time is extremely low, we assume that each vertex has at least one fault-free neighbor. An r-dimensional generalized hypercube is denoted by G(m-r, m-r-1,⋅, m-1). In this paper, we proposed an efficient algorithm which can construct at least κ^1(G) disjoint paths based on any two adjacent vertices in G(m-r, m-r-1, m-1) in O(rm) time where κ^1(G) is the 1-restricted connectivity of G(m-r, m-r-1, m-1). The maximum length of these disjoint paths is bounded by 7. © 2019 IEEE.

This paper explores the contributions of various features in semantic role labeling. Moreover, an optimal set of features is selected using a greedy strategy. Finally, an effective headword-driven pruning algorithm is proposed to filter out irrelavant instances. Evaluation on the CoNLL'2005 SRL benchmark corpus shows that our method achieved comparable performance with the best-reported ones on a single automatic parse tree.

Because the processing speed of intrusion detection system can hardly keep pace with the high-speed development of network, improving the speed of intrusion detection has been the problem starved for solve. By adopting the network processor, a distribution algorithm based on protocol analysis has been realized. By delivering the captured data package to each detect node according to protocol types and then accomplishing the detection for data package through the collaboration of the detect nodes, the processing efficiency of the intrusion detection system has been improved as a whole. © 2006 IEEE.
