To enable robots to understand a specific assistive task during human-robot interactions under complex home scenes, at the center is the problem of human-object interaction (HOI) recognition. In particular, aiming at identifying efficiently, this paper proposes a graph convolutional network (GCN) by considering the similarity and proximity of human and object nodes, based on which the geometric positions and morphological relationships are explored. Also, a supplementary convolutional neural network (CNN) is fused to GCN to extract the global semantic features, which also ensures the recognition applicability for the cases where detectors fall into failure. Experiments on V-COCO demonstrate our approach, and results in real-world scenes on our assistive robot – Xiaozhi II verify its robustness.

Data mining technology has yielded fruitful results in the area of crime discovery and intelligent decision making. Credit card is one of the most popular payment methods, providing great convenience and efficiency. However, due to the vulnerabilities of credit card transactions, criminals are able to commit fraud to infringe on the interests of the state and citizens. How to discover potential fraudsters while guaranteeing high efficiency becomes an extremely valuable problem to solve. In this work, we talk about the advantages and disadvantages of different models to detect credit card fraud. We first introduce the data preprocessing measures for handling imbalanced fraud detection dataset. Then we compare related models to implement fraudster recognition. We also propose a feature selection approach based on combined feature weights. In this paper, synchronization of both non-identical unknown network and identical known network can be considered. Based on Lyapunov stability theory, for the case of non-identical or identical network, synchronization criteria between drive-response networks are obtained, and both the uncertain parameters and unknown coupling configuration matrix are be identified or constructed. Meanwhile, the coupling matrix may be free. The proposed synchronization scheme is simple and easy to realize. Finally, three illustrative examples show the effectiveness of presented control schemes. © 2021, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Existing action detection approaches do not take spatio-temporal structural relationships of action clips into account, which leads to a low applicability in real-world scenarios and can benefit detecting if exploited. To this end, this paper proposes to formulate the action detection problem as a reinforcement learning process which is rewarded by observing both the clip sampling and classification results via adjusting the detection schemes. In particular, our framework consists of a heterogeneous graph convolutional network to represent the spatio-temporal features capturing the inherent relation, a policy network which determines the probabilities of a predefined action sampling spaces, and a classification network for action clip recognition. We accomplish the network joint learning by considering the temporal intersection over union and Euclidean distance between detected clips and ground-truth. Experiments on ActivityNet v1.3 and THUMOS14 demonstrate our method.

The projector production process needs to pack manufactured projectors. The key step of projector packing is to check whether the brand and model number of the projector is correct or not, for avoiding the projector’s packing error. To achieve automation of identifying projector brand and model number for improving the efficiency of the projector packing, we proposed an automatic identification method by using image processing, character recognition, and string matching. Specifically, image grayscale processing, image gradient calculation, morphological operations, and image thresholding are sequentially performed to determine candidate target regions located by a projector's brand and model number. Then, two shape prior-based image features are designed to perform target region screening, i.e., excluding fake target regions as far as possible. Next, the character recognition technology is used to extract the texts in the target regions. Finally, string matching is performed to obtain identification results of the projector's brand and model number. Experimental results on several projectors demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method on automatic identification of projector brand and model number. The proposed method provides a general framework for identifying the brand and model number of other similar electronic products. © 2021, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Unsupervised learning utilizes unlabeled data to alleviate the reliance on large amounts of labeled data, and it has made great progress in time series anomaly detection. However, there are still some thorny issues unsolved, especially the incapability to maintain the robustness of the model when the time series dataset is contaminated. In this work, we propose an unsupervised time series anomaly detection method on data contamination, named distribution alignment autoencoder (DAAE), in which a temporal sliding reward function combines the adversarial distribution alignment to mine the contaminated data. Specifically, the dimensionality reduction and reconstruction of the time series are implemented by an autoencoder. Next, using two discriminators, the latent features obtained by dimensionality reduction are mapped to the Gaussian distribution, and the high-confidence normal time series are generated by sampling noise from the Gaussian distribution. Then, we compute the mean square error between high-confidence normal samples and the training data. Finally, we feed the error values to the temporal sliding reward function to mine the contaminated training samples. Experimental results compared with baselines on public datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of DAAE. © 2022 IEEE.

Graph contrastive learning has gained popularity due to its success in self-supervised graph representation learning. Augmented views in contrastive learning greatly determine the quality of the learned representations. Handcrafted data augmentations in previous work require tedious trial-and- errors per dataset, which is time-consuming and resource-intensive. Here, we propose a Graph Contrastive learning framework with Learnable graph Augmentation called GraphCLA. Specifically, learnable graph augmentation trains augmented views by minimizing the mutual information (MI) between the input graphs and their augmented graphs. This paper designs a kernel contrastive loss function based on an end-to-end differentiable graph kernel to learn augmented views. In addition, this paper utilizes a min-max optimization strategy to learn challenging augmented graphs and to learn discriminative representations adversarially. Finally, we compared GraphCLA with state-of-the-art self-supervised learning baselines and experimentally validate the effectiveness of GraphCLA.

Colorectal cancer is a common malignancy. In colonoscopy images, computer-assisted polyp segmentation helps doctors diagnose and treat disorders more precisely. In recent years, some methods based on deep convolutional neural networks have made significant breakthroughs in this task. However, only a few algorithms explicitly consider the effect of light intensity on segmentation performance, which results in algorithms needing to be more robust for complex samples. This paper proposes a neural network combining a simple encoding structure with a reverse attention module. Specifically, the model uses HarDNet68 as the backbone network, adds a camouflage identification module (CIM) to enhance the capture of polyp details on the underlying features, and finally utilizes adaptive feature fusion with the reverse attention module (RAM). The proposed model effectively addresses the challenge of poor segmentation quality in colonoscopy images caused by inconsistent illumination. Extensive experiments on five datasets show that the proposed model performs well in polyp segmentation.

This paper addresses the generalization issue in deepfake detection by harnessing forgery quality in training data. Generally, the forgery quality of different deepfakes varies: some have easily recognizable forgery clues, while others are highly realistic. Existing works often train detectors on a mix of deepfakes with varying forgery qualities, potentially leading detectors to short-cut the easy-to-spot artifacts from low-quality forgery samples, thereby hurting generalization performance. To tackle this issue, we propose a novel quality-centric framework for generic deepfake detection, which is composed of a Quality Evaluator, a low-quality data enhancement module, and a learning pacing strategy that explicitly incorporates forgery quality into the training process. The framework is inspired by curriculum learning, which is designed to gradually enable the detector to learn more challenging deepfake samples, starting with easier samples and progressing to more realistic ones. We employ both static and dynamic assessments to assess the forgery quality, combining their scores to produce a final rating for each training sample. The rating score guides the selection of deepfake samples for training, with higher-rated samples having a higher probability of being chosen. Furthermore, we propose a novel frequency data augmentation method specifically designed for low-quality forgery samples, which helps to reduce obvious forgery traces and improve their overall realism. Extensive experiments show that our method can be applied in a plug- and-play manner and significantly enhance the generalization performance. © 2024, CC0.

In the past decade, convolutional neural networks (CNNs) have shown prominence for semantic segmentation. Although CNN models have very impressive performance, the ability to capture global representation is still insufficient, which results in suboptimal results. Recently, Transformer achieved huge success in NLP tasks, demonstrating its advantages in modeling long-range dependency. Recently, Transformer has also attracted tremendous attention from computer vision researchers who reformulate the image processing tasks as a sequence-to-sequence prediction but resulted in deteriorating local feature details. In this work, we propose a lightweight real-time semantic segmentation network called LETNet. LETNet combines a U-shaped CNN with Transformer effectively in a capsule embedding style to compensate for respective deficiencies. Meanwhile, the elaborately designed Lightweight Dilated Bottleneck (LDB) module and Feature Enhancement (FE) module cultivate a positive impact on training from scratch simultaneously. Extensive experiments performed on challenging datasets demonstrate that LETNet achieves superior performances in accuracy and efficiency balance. Specifically, It only contains 0.95M parameters and 13.6G FLOPs but yields 72.8% mIoU at 120 FPS on the Cityscapes test set and 70.5% mIoU at 250 FPS on the CamVid test dataset using a single RTX 3090 GPU.
