A robust image watermarking scheme based on singular value decomposition (SVD) and discrete wavelet transform (DWT) with Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm is proposed in this paper. Previous SVD based watermarking algorithms have a major drawback of false positive detection. For solving this problem, the similarity measure of U matrix for ownership is checked. To achieve the highest possible robustness without losing the transparency, an adaptive scale factor is obtained by the artificial bee colony (ABC) algorithm. Experimental results demonstrate that the performance of the proposed approach outperforms the existing methods.

Prioritized preference based decision making is pervasive in real problems solving. We propose a new paradigm of logic programming to handle prioritized preference. The paradigm is interpreted based on answer set semantics. We introduce two semantics to optimize answer sets of the programs. Then, we present the properties of those semantics by investigating their order characterization. Finally, compared with related works, it shows our new paradigm has strong expressive power of preference representation and reasoning.

Exponential correlated random variables are generated by stochastic differential equations (SDEs), which are described by Markov diffusion processes. Under the assumption of ergodicity of stochastic process, the stationary distribution of Markov diffusion process is introduced, which is determined by drift and diffusion coefficient. We choose the drift coefficient as a linear function. The drift coefficient can be derived directly from diffusion coefficient and aimed probability density function (pdf). As a result, a generalized method for the generation of exponential correlated random variables is determined. We compare the different diffusion coefficients of Markov model. The new diffusion coefficient model can be used in Milstein high order method and the corresponding algorithm is more robust. The correlation of the random samples can be adjusted through changing a single parameter of diffusion coefficient. The generation of approximately uniformly distributed random variables with exponential correlation is introduced as an example of generating random variables with a specified pdf and correlation function, where there is no determined closed form expression of the pdf. Simulation results validate the accuracy and the effectiveness of this method.

The locally twisted cube is a newly introduced interconnection network for parallel computing, which possesses many desirable properties. In this paper, the problem of embedding complete binary trees into locally twisted cubes is studied. Let LTQ_n(V, E) denote the n-dimensional locally twisted cube. We find the following result in this paper: for any integer n ≥ 2, we show that a complete binary tree with 2~n- 1 nodes can be embedded into the LTQ_nwith dilation 2.

To explore the association relations among disease, pathogenesis, physician, symptoms and drug, we adapt a variational Apriori algorithm for discovering association rules on a dataset of the Qing Court Medical Records. There are five types of semantic associations we intend to discover, including Disease-Pathogenesis-Drug set(DPaD), Disease-Symptoms-Drug set (DSyD), Disease-Drug set (DD), Disease-Physician-Drug set (DPhD) and Disease-Drug Category Set (DDC). To solve the synonymity problem and the data sparseness problem, we give a mapping strategy which maps pathogenesis to standardized forms and maps drugs to drug categories. With the mapping strategy the number of frequent drug sets rises from 287 to 1184. The experimental results indicate that our method with the mapping strategy is an effective way to acquire valuable semantic association rules.
