We present a context aware object detection method based on a retrieve-and-transform scene layout model. Given an input image, our approach first retrieves a coarse scene layout from a codebook of typical layout templates. In order to handle large layout variations, we use a variant of the spatial transformer network [1] to transform and refine the retrieved layout, resulting in a set of interpretable and semantically meaningful feature maps of object locations and scales. The above steps are implemented as a Layout Transfer Network which we integrate into Faster RCNN [2] to allow for joint reasoning of object detection and scene layout estimation. Extensive experiments on three public datasets verified that our approach provides consistent performance improvements to the state-of-the-art object detection baselines on a variety of challenging tasks in the traffic surveillance and the autonomous driving domains. Community detection is a significant research direction in the research of social networks. To improve the quality of seeds selection and expansion, we propose an influence seeds extension overlapping community detection (i-SEOCD) algorithm for overlapping community detection. First, i-SEOCD uses a node influence strategy to find the seed communities with tight structures. Second, on the basis of the seed communities, we calculate the similarity among communities and their neighbor nodes. The nodes whose similarity is greater than a predefined threshold are selected. Third, the strategy of optimizing a self-adaptive function is adopted to expand the communities. Finally, the free nodes in the network are assigned to their corresponding communities in order to find out all the overlapping community structures. Experiments on the real and artificial networks show that i-SEOCD is capable of discovering overlapping communities in complex social networks efficiently. © 2019, Chinese Institute of Electronics. Negative information filtering algorithm based on text content in multimedia networks

In the multimedia network environment, it is necessary to effectively filter negative information in the multimedia network and enhance the ability to mine and identify valid data. This paper presents a new algorithm of negative information filtering based on text content in multimedia networks. The principal component features of negative information in multimedia networks are extracted, and matched filters are designed to filter the negative information reasonably. All text contents and negative information are normalized and sorted. They are transformed into the same text format for classification and processing, and the filtering and detection of negative information are realized. Finally, based on the semantic features of text content, the support vector machine algorithm is used to extract negative information features from data. Experimental results show that the algorithm improves the filtering accuracy and performance for negative information in multimedia networks, and it has good application value. © 2019 Totem Publisher, Inc. Hybrid chaotic encryption algorithm for securing DICOM systems

The DICOM system contains patients' personal privacy and may present a risk of information leakage in telemedicine diagnostics. In order to solve the security problem of the DICOM system, we propose a medical image encryption method based on the cross-diffusion of the logistic map and the Chebyshev map. We first parse the DICOM image and read the data elements, and then we use the logistic map and the Chebyshev map to generate a key. Then, we cross-use these two sequences for further image encryption diffusion. Finally, we conduct in-depth experiments and comparisons with existing algorithms to validate the characteristics of high security and low correlation of adjacent pixels of the proposed encryption algorithm. © 2019 Totem Publisher, Inc. Knowledge graph models world knowledge as concepts, entities, and the relationships between them, which has been widely used in many real-world tasks. CCKS 2019 held an evaluation track with 6 tasks and attracted more than 1,600 teams. In this paper we give an overview of the knowledge graph evaluation tract at CCKS 2019. By reviewing the task definition, successful methods, useful resources, good strategies and research challenges associated with each task in CCKS 2019, this paper can provide a helpful reference for developing knowledge graph applications and conducting future knowledge graph researches. A Topic-Triggered Translation Model for Statistical Machine Translation

Translation model containing translation rules with probabilities plays a crucial role in statistical machine translation. Conventional method estimates translation probabilities with only the consideration of cooccurrence frequencies of bilingual translation units, while ignoring document-level context information. In this paper, we extend the conventional translation model to a topic-triggered one. Specifically, we estimate topic-specific translation probabilities of translation rules by leveraging topical context information, and online score selected translation rules according to topic posterior distributions of translated sentences. As compared with the conventional model, our model allows for more fine-grained distinction among different translations. Experiment results on large data set demonstrate the effectiveness of our model.

While immune repertoire(IR) dynamics encode critical disease signatures, existing models fail to capture the non-equilibrium processes that governing clonal selection and somatic hypermutation (SHM). We develop a biophysical framework that mathematically reconstructs IR evolution through energy landscape optimization, where 1) clonal emergence probabilities map to metastable states, 2) repertoire transitions obey non-equilibrium dynamics, and 3) inter-IR distances quantify the distribution transformation costs via optimal transport theory. This model enables macroscopic immune state detection from 10k cells by resolving critical fluctuations in sparse sampling regimes. Experimental validation across murine/human cohorts demonstrates precise unsupervised stratification of immune stages and disease states without prior clinical annotations. By bridging stochastic SHM kinetics with deterministic repertoire shifts, our approach establishes quantitative metrics for tracking immunological trajectories and pathological progression. This paradigm shift from static pattern recognition to dynamic process decoding empowers sensitive immunomonitoring and personalized therapeutic design through ultra-low-input clinical sampling.

Rule induction method based on rough set theory (RST) which can generate a minimal set of decision rules by using attribute reduction and approximations has received much attention recently. In real-life, the variation of objects, attributes and attributes’ values affects reducts and approximations, e.g., the coarsening and refining of attributes’ values. The goal of this paper is dynamic maintenance of decision rules for decision attribute values’ coarsening and refining. Two incremental rough-set based methods are proposed to deal with this issue by updating assignment discernibility matrix dynamically without recomputing the reducts from the beginning, which increases the efficiency. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2018.

With the rapid development of computation and communication technologies, the traditional vehicle ad hoc networks (VANETs) are changing to Internet of vehicle (IoV). Vehicular announcement networks in IoV have been widely used in the communication of vehicles. Generally, we need to solve two problems while establishing a vehicular announcement system. First, we need to protect user's privacy when broadcasting the message. Second, participants usually lack the enthusiasm to reply to the announcement. To solve these two problems, we propose a novel blockchain-based incentive announcement system that not only allows participants to anonymously announce their message on the blockchain in a non-trusted environment, but also motivates witnesses to respond to the request of the traffic information with incentive mechanism. Meanwhile, traffic messages and signatures in our system are tamper-resistant, which are recorded on the blockchain. According to the security and performance analysis, it shows that our system is privacy-preserving and efficient in computation cost.
