Effective and real-time eyeblink detection is of widerange applications, such as deception detection, drive fatigue detection, face anti-spoofing. Despite previous efforts, most of existing focus on addressing the eyeblink detection problem under constrained indoor conditions with relative consistent subject and environment setup. Nevertheless, towards practical applications, eyeblink detection in the wild is highly preferred, and of greater challenges. In this paper, we shed the light to this research topic. A labelled eyeblink in the wild dataset (i.e., HUST-LEBW) of 673 eyeblink video samples (i.e., 381 positives, and 292 negatives) is first established. These samples are captured from the unconstrained movies, with the dramatic variation on face attribute, head pose, illumination condition, imaging configuration, etc. Then, we formulate eyeblink detection task as a binary spatial-temporal pattern recognition problem. After locating and tracking human eyes using SeetaFace engine and KCF (Kernelized Correlation Filters) tracker respectively, a modified LSTM model able to capture the multi-scale temporal information is proposed to verify eyeblink. A feature extraction approach that reveals the appearance and motion characteristics simultaneously is also proposed. The experiments on HUSTLEBW reveal the superiority and efficiency of our approach. The comparisons with the existing state-of-the-art methods validate the advantages of our manner for eyeblink detection in the wild. Copyright © 2019, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Now many applications of trajectory (location) data have facilitated people's daily life. However, publishing trajectory data may divulge individual sensitive information so as to influence people's normal life. On the other hand, if we cannot mine and share trajectory data information, trajectory data will lose its value to serve our society. Currently, because the records of trajectory data are discrete in database, some existing privacy protection schemes are difficult to protect trajectory data. In this paper, we propose a trajectory data privacy protection scheme based on Laplace's differential privacy mechanism. In the proposed scheme, the algorithm first selects the protected points from the user's trajectory data;secondly, the algorithm builds the polygons according to the protected points and the adjacent and high frequent accessed points selected from the accessed point database, then the algorithm calculates the polygon centroids;finally, the noises are added to the polygon centroids by the Laplace's differential privacy method, and the new polygon centroids are used to replace the protected points, and then the algorithm constructs and issues the new trajectory data. The experiments show that the running time of the proposed algorithms is fast, the privacy protection of the scheme is effective and the data usability of the scheme is higher. © 2018 Slovene Society Informatika. One-pass multi-task networks with cross-task guided attention for brain tumor segmentation

Class imbalance has emerged as one of the major challenges for medical image segmentation. The model cascade (MC) strategy, a popular scheme, significantly alleviates the class imbalance issue via running a set of individual deep models for coarse-to-fine segmentation. Despite its outstanding performance, however, this method leads to undesired system complexity and also ignores the correlation among the models. To handle these flaws in the MC approach, we propose in this paper a light-weight deep model, i.e., the One-pass Multi-task Network (OM-Net) to solve class imbalance better than MC does, while requiring only one-pass computation for brain tumor segmentation. First, OM-Net integrates the separate segmentation tasks into one deep model, which consists of shared parameters to learn joint features, as well as task-specific parameters to learn discriminative features. Second, to more effectively optimize OM-Net, we take advantage of the correlation among tasks to design both an online training data transfer strategy and a curriculum learning-based training strategy. Third, we further propose sharing prediction results between tasks, which enables us to design a cross-task guided attention (CGA) module. By following the guidance of the prediction results provided by the previous task, CGA can adaptively recalibrate channel-wise feature responses based on the category-specific statistics. Finally, a simple yet effective post-processing method is introduced to refine the segmentation results of the proposed attention network. Extensive experiments are conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed techniques. Most impressively, we achieve state-of-the-art performance on the BraTS 2015 testing set and BraTS 2017 online validation set. Using these proposed approaches, we also won joint third place in the BraTS 2018 challenge among 64 participating teams. The code is publicly available at https://***/chenhong-zhou/OM-Net. In this paper, we establish a novel bimodal emotion database from physiological signals and facial expression, which is named as PSFE. The physiological signals and facial expression of the PSFE database are respectively recorded by the equipment of the BIOPAC MP 150 and the Kinect for Windows in the meantime. The PSFE database altogether records 32 subjects which include 11 women and 21 man, and their age distribution is from 20 to 25. Moreover, the PSFE database records three basic emotion classes containing calmness, happiness and sadness, which respectively correspond to the neutral, positive and negative emotion state. The general sample number of the PSFE database is 288 and each emotion class contains 96 samples. © Copyright 2018 The Institute of Electronics information and Communication Engineers.

In order to optimize the design of gear reducer, gear reducer optimal design to improve reliability and security, slow convergence and local optimum for FOA algorithm is proposed based on the improved type FOA gear reducer optimization design model. To avoid falling into local optimum Drosophila optimization algorithms, improved FOA algorithm by introducing a correction factor. Superior to the gear reducer seven variables optimization design model for the study, to ensure the safety and reliability of the premise, the FOA has the advantage of improved convergence speed and avoid local optimization problems, in order to verify the proposed method and reliability. © Springer International Publishing AG 2018.

In this letter, we propose a supervised bimodal emotion recognition approach based on two important human emotion modalities including facial expression and body gesture. A effectively supervised feature fusion algorithms named supervised multiset canonical correlation analysis (SMCCA) is presented to established the linear connection between three sets of matrices, which contain the feature matrix of two modalities and their concurrent category matrix. The test results in the bimodal emotion recognition of the FABO database show that the SMCCA algorithm can get better or considerable efficiency than unsupervised feature fusion algorithm covering canonical correlation analysis (CCA), sparse canonical correlation analysis (SCCA), multiset canonical correlation analysis (MCCA) and so on. © 2018 The Institute of Electronics, information and Communication Engineers.

In this paper, we consider a hybrid mobile edge computing (H-MEC) platform, which includes ground stations (GSs), ground vehicles (GVs) and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAVs), all with mobile edge cloud installed to enable user equipments (UEs) or Internet of thing (IoT) devices with intensive computing tasks to offload. Our objective is to obtain an online offloading algorithm to minimize the energy consumption of all the UEs, by jointly optimizing the positions of GVs and UAVs, user association and resource allocation in real-time, while considering the dynamic environment. To this end, we propose a hybrid deep learning based online offloading (H2O) framework where a large-scale path-loss fuzzy c-means (LSFCM) algorithm is first proposed and used to predict the optimal positions of GVs and UAVs. Secondly, a fuzzy membership matrix U-based particle swarm optimization (U-PSO) algorithm is applied to solve the mixed integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) problems and generate the sample datasets for the deep neural network (DNN) where the fuzzy membership matrix can capture the small-scale fading effects and the information of mutual interference. Thirdly, a DNN with the scheduling layer is introduced to provide user association and computing resource allocation under the practical latency requirement of the tasks and limited available computing resource of H-MEC. In addition, different from traditional DNN predictor, we only input one UEs information to the DNN at one time, which will be suitable for the scenarios where the number of UE is varying and avoid the curse of dimensionality in DNN. To address the problem of unstable training and poor accuracy in image classification algorithms based on generative adversarial networks (GAN), a novel sensor network structure for classification processing using auxiliary classifier generative adversarial networks (ACGAN) is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the real/fake discrimination of sensor samples in the network has been canceled at the output layer of the discriminative network and only the posterior probability estimation of the sample tag is outputted. Secondly, by regarding the real sensor samples as supervised data and the generative sensor samples as labeled fake data, we have reconstructed the loss function of the generator and discriminator by using the real/fake attributes of sensor samples and the cross-entropy loss function of the label. Thirdly, the pooling and caching method has been introduced into the discriminator to enable more ekective extraction of the classification features. Finally, feature matching has been added to the discriminative network to ensure the diversity of the generative sensor samples. Experimental results have shown that the proposed algorithm (CP-ACGAN) achieves better classification accuracy on the MNIST dataset, CIFAR10 dataset and CIFAR100 dataset than other solutions. Moreover, when compared with the ACGAN and CNN classification algorithms, which have the same deep network structure as CP-ACGAN, the proposed method continues to achieve better classification effects and stability than other main existing sensor solutions. © Sensors (Switzerland) 2019. Optimal seam line detection in laplacian pyramid domain for image stitching

Parallax handing is a challenging problem for image stitching. Optimal seam line method is employed in this paper to deal with the misalignment on panoramas caused by parallax problem. It's an important method for orthoimage stitching in remote sensing. However, failures occur when it used in common image stitching due to the parallax problem. In order to obtain a better panorama for common image, the proposed approach mainly employs optimal seam line and contains the following three steps. First, the parallax problem can be alleviated by geometric correction. Then, the optimal seam line is detected within the overlapping region by dynamic programming in Laplacian pyramid domain. And images were blended by using blending trick on each corresponding level of the pyramids. Finally, the convincing panorama can be obtained by reconstructing the panoramic pyramid. The experiments demonstrated that the proposed method can obtain the clear and seamless panoramas. © 2018 computer Society of the Republic of China. All rights reserved.

Due to the increasing amount of opinion data on the internet, opinion mining has become a hot topic, in which extracting opinion targets is a key step. The state-of-the-art approaches only use direct dependency relation patterns to extract opinion targets and the indirect dependency relation patterns have not been used. In this paper, the dependency relations between opinion target and opinion word are defined, and direct and indirect dependency relation patterns are designed. Then, a bootstrapping approach is used to extract and evaluate both candidate patterns and opinion targets. The experimental results show that in formal text, the approach improves the performance compared with the state-of-the-art approaches for opinion target extraction. © Springer International Publishing AG 2018.
