Steganalysis and improvement of a quantum steganography protocol via a GHZ_4 state

Quantum steganography that utilizes the quantum mechanical effect to achieve the purpose of information hiding is a popular topic of quantum information. Recently, E1 Allati et al. proposed a new quantum steganography using the GHZ4 state. Since all of the 8 groups of unitary transformations used in the secret message encoding rule change the GHZ4 state into 6 instead of 8 different quantum states when the global phase is not considered, we point out that a 2-bit instead of a 3-bit secret message can be encoded by one group of the given unitary transformations. To encode a 3-bit secret message by performing a group of unitary transformations on the GHZ4 state, we give another 8 groups of unitary transformations that can change the GHZ4 state into 8 different quantum states. Due to the symmetry of the GHZ4 state, all the possible 16 groups of unitary transformations change the GHZ4 state into 8 different quantum states, so the improved protocol achieves a high efficiency.

A face recognition algorithm based on invariant features of trace transform

In order to improve the recognition rate in single training sample, a face recognition algorithm based on invariant features of trace transform (IFT) is developed. In feature extraction, with application of Scharr operator and scale-adapted Laplacian of Gaussian (LoG) & Harris corner detector, keypoints are detected. Proper functionals are chosen to do trace transform in the circular region around each keypoint so as to obtain feature descriptors which are invariant to rotation and scaling. In feature matching, a coarse-to-fine matching strategy is executed by using the descriptors' feature vector and coordinate value. The identity of test image is obtained by comparing the matching score, which avoids the problem of parameters selection. Results show that it successfully improves the recognition rate under variations of illumination, occlusion, pose and expression. It also effectively reduces computational complexity and running time. © 2014 Binary Information Press.

In this paper,we regard the nonlinear feedback shift register(NLFSR)as a special Boolean network,and use semi-tensor product of matrices and matrix expression of logic to convert the dynamic equations of NLFSR into an equivalent algebraic *** on them,we propose some novel and generalized techniques to study ***,a general method is presented to solve an open problem of how to obtain the properties(the number of fixed points and the cycles with different lengths)of the state sequences produced by a given NLFSR,i.e.,the analysis of a given *** then show how to construct all 22n-(l-n)/22n-lshortest n-stage feedback shift registers(nFSR)and at least 22n-(l-n)-1/22n-l-1shortest n-stage nonlinear feedback shift registers(nNLFSR)which can output a given nonperiodic/periodic sequence with length ***,we propose two novel cycles joining algorithms for the construction of full-length ***,two algorithms are presented to construct 22n-2-1different full-length nNLFSRs,respectively.

Remote Data Auditing for Cloud-Assisted WBANs with Pay-as-You-Go Business Model

As an emerging technology, cloud-assisted wireless body area networks(WBANs) provide more convenient services to users. Recently, many remote data auditing protocols have been proposed to ensure the data integrity and authenticity when data owners outsourced their data to the cloud. However, most of them cannot check data integrity periodically according to the pay-as-you-go business model. These protocols also need high tag generation computation overhead, which brings a heavy burden for data owners. Therefore, we construct a lightweight remote data auditing protocol to overcome all above drawbacks. Our work can be deployed in the public environment without secret *** makes use of certificate-based cryptography which gets rid of certificate management problems, key escrow problems, and secret channels. The security analysis illustrates that the proposed protocol is secure. Moreover, the performance evaluation implies that our work is available in cutting down computation and communication overheads.

High-efficiency quantum steganography based on the tensor product of Bell states

In this paper,we first propose a hidden rule among the secure message,the initial tensor product of two Bell states and the final tensor product when respectively applying local unitary transformations to the first particle of the two initial Bell states,and then present a high-efficiency quantum steganography protocol under the control of the hidden *** the proposed quantum steganography scheme,a hidden channel is established to transfer a secret message within any quantum secure direct communication(QSDC) scheme that is based on 2-level quantum states and unitary *** secret message hiding/unhiding process is linked with the QSDC process only by unitary *** accurately describe the capacity of a steganography scheme,a quantitative measure,named embedding efficiency,is introduced in this *** performance analysis shows that the proposed steganography scheme achieves a high efficiency as well as a good ***,it is shown that this scheme can resist all serious attacks including the intercept-resend attack,measurement-resend attack,auxiliary particle attack and even the Denial of Service *** improve the efficiency of the proposed scheme,the hidden rule is extended based on the tensor product of multiple Bell states.

A Novel Quantum Covert Channel Protocol Based on Any Quantum Secure Direct Communication Scheme

By analyzing the basic properties of unitary transformations used in a quantum secure direct communication (QSDC) protocol, we show the main idea why a covert channel can be established within any QSDC channel which employs unitary transformations to encode information. On the basis of the fact that the unitary transformations used in a QSDC protocol are secret and independent, a novel quantum covert channel protocol is proposed to transfer secret messages with unconditional security. The performance, including the imperceptibility, capacity and security of the proposed protocol are analyzed in detail.

Fuzzy description logics are considered as the logical infrastructure of fuzzy knowledge representation on the semantic Web. To deal with fuzzy and dynamic knowledge on the semantic Web and its applications, a new fuzzy extension of Attribute Language with Complement based on dynamic fuzzy logic called the dynamic fuzzy description logic （DFALC） is presented. The syntax and semantics of DFALC are formally defined, and the forms of axioms and assertions are specified. The DFALC provides more reasonable logic foundation for the semantic Web, and overcomes the insufficiency of using fuzzy description logic FALC to act as logical foundation for the semantic Web. The extended DFALC is more expressive than the existing fuzzy description logics and present more fuzzy information on the semantic Web.

We show that an aggregated Interest in Named Data networking (NDN) may fail to retrieve desired data as the Interest sent upstream in advance is recognized as a duplicate one due to its multipath forwarding and dropped by an upstream node. Furthermore, we introduce NDRUDAF, a mechanism based on negative acknowledgement for the router that aggregates the Interests to detect such unanticipated data access failure and assist the requester whose Interest is aggregated fast recovering from the failure. We qualitatively analyze the performance of the NDN with our proposal NDRUDAF and compare its performance with that of the present NDN. NDRUDAF improves the system performance in case of the unanticipated data access failure in terms of data access delay and network resource utilization efficiency at routers. © Copyright 2016 ACM.

Four 4H-SiCp-i-n ultraviolet(UV) avalanche photodiode(APD) samples PIN-0.1, PIN-0.35, PIN-0.5, and PIN-1.0 with different intrinsic layer thicknesses(0.1 μm, 0.35 μm, 0.5 μm, and 1.0 μm, respectively) are designed and *** photon detection efficiency(SPDE) performance becomes better as the intrinsic layer thickness increases, which is attributed to the inhibitation of *** count origin is also investigated, an activation energy as small as 0.22 eV of the dark count rate(DCR) confirms that the trap-assisted tunneling(TAT) process is the main source of *** temperature coefficient ranges from-2.6 mV/℃ to 18.3 mV/℃, demonstrating that the TAT process is dominant in APDs with thinner intrinsic ***, the room temperature maximum quantum efficiency at 280 nm differs from 48% to 65% for PIN-0.35, PIN-0.5, and PIN-1.0 under 0 V bias, and UV/visible rejection ratios higher than 104 are obtained.

Robust and Passive Motion Detection with COTS WiFi Devices

Device-free Passive（DfP） detection has received increasing attention for its ability to support various pervasive applications. Instead of relying on variable Received Signal Strength（RSS）, most recent studies rely on finer-grained Channel State Information（CSI）. However, existing methods have some limitations, in that they are effective only in the Line-Of-Sight（LOS） or for more than one moving individual. In this paper, we analyze the human motion effect on CSI and propose a novel scheme for Robust Passive Motion Detection（R-PMD）. Since traditional low-pass filtering has a number of limitations with respect to data denoising, we adopt a novel Principal Component Analysis（PCA）-based filtering technique to capture the representative signals of human motion and extract the variance profile as the sensitive metric for human detection. In addition, existing schemes simply aggregate CSI values over all the antennas in MIMO systems. Instead, we investigate the sensing quality of each antenna and aggregate the best combination of antennas to achieve more accurate and robust detection. The R-PMD prototype uses off-the-shelf WiFi devices and the experimental results demonstrate that R-PMD achieves an average detection rate of 96.33% with a false alarm rate of 3.67%.
