Global Collaboration in Artificial Intelligence:Bibliometrics and Network Analysis from 1985 to 2019

Purpose:This study aims to explore the trend and status of international collaboration in the field of artificial intelligence(AI)and to understand the hot topics,core groups,and major collaboration patterns in global AI ***/methodology/approach:We selected 38,224 papers in the field of AI from 1985 to 2019 in the core collection database of Web of Science(WoS)and studied international collaboration from the perspectives of authors,institutions,and countries through bibliometric analysis and social network ***:The bibliometric results show that in the field of AI,the number of published papers is increasing every year,and 84.8%of them are cooperative *** with more than three authors,collaboration between two countries and collaboration within institutions are the three main levels of collaboration *** social network analysis,this study found that the US,the UK,France,and Spain led global collaboration research in the field of AI at the country level,while Vietnam,Saudi Arabia,and United Arab Emirates had a high degree of international *** at the institution level reflects obvious regional and economic *** are the Developing Countries Institution Collaboration Group led by Iran,China,and Vietnam,as well as the Developed Countries Institution Collaboration Group led by the US,Canada,the ***,the Chinese Academy of Sciences(China)plays an important,pivotal role in connecting the these institutional collaboration *** limitations:First,participant contributions in international collaboration may have varied,but in our research they are viewed equally when building collaboration ***,although the edge weight in the collaboration network is considered,it is only used to help reduce the network and does not reflect the strength of *** implications:The findings fill the current shortage of research on international collaboration in A

CitationAS： A Tool of Automatic Survey Generation Based on Citation Content

Purpose： This study aims to build an automatic survey generation tool, named CitationAS, based on citation content as represented by the set of citing sentences in the original ***/methodology/approach： Firstly, we apply LDA to analyse topic distribution of citation content. Secondly, in CitationAS, we use bisecting K-means, Lingo and STC to cluster retrieved citation content. Then Word2Vec, Word Net and combination of them are applied to generate cluster labels. Next, we employ TF-IDF, MMR, as well as considering sentence location information, to extract important sentences, which are used to generate surveys. Finally, we adopt manual evaluation for the generated ***： In experiments, we choose 20 high-frequency phrases as search terms. Results show that Lingo-Word2Vec, STC-Word Net and bisecting K-means-Word2Vec have better clustering effects. In 5 points evaluation system, survey quality scores obtained by designing methods are close to 3, indicating surveys are within acceptable limits. When considering sentence location information, survey quality will be improved. Combination of Lingo, Word2Vec, TF-IDF or MMR can acquire higher survey *** limitations： The manual evaluation method may have a certain subjectivity. We use a simple linear function to combine Word2Vec and Word Net that may not bring out their strengths. The generated surveys may not contain some newly created knowledge of some articles which may concentrate on sentences with no *** implications： CitationAS tool can automatically generate a comprehensive, detailed and accurate survey according to user’s search terms. It can also help researchers learn about research status in a certain ***/value： Citaiton AS tool is of practicability. It merges cluster labels from semantic level to improve clustering results. The tool also considers sentence location information when calculating sentence score by TF-IDF and MMR.

The Second-order h-type Indicators for Identifying Top Units

The second-order h-type indicators are suggested to identify top units in scientometrics. Basically, the re-ranking of h-type series leads to the second-order h-type indicator. The second-order h-type indicators provide an interesting and natural method to identify top units, yielding fixed h-top. Differentiating from the series of artificially defined highly cited percentile classes, the h-top contributes a natural definite top in the series of highly cited classes. When studying theoretically, the second-order h-index concerns 3% of the h-top whereas the first-order h-index refers to 10% of the h-core. Scientific Value Weights more than Being Open or Toll Access:An analysis of the OA advantage in Nature and Science

An ontology automation construction scheme for Chinese e-government thesaurus optimizing

To optimize the term hierarchy in the manual e-government thesaurus, we combine the mainstream knowledge organization technology to form a complete set of ontology automation construction scheme. We build an e-government knowledge base by using subject words in the Comprehensive E-government Thesaurus as the term set and encyclopedia text as the corpus. The specific work includes the extraction of semantic features from the bag-of-words model, determination of the number of clusters by linear and nonlinear dimensionality reduction, division of terms by spectral clustering, social network analysis to determine the class label, and storing knowledge ontology via OWL. The recall rate of term hierarchy in the ontology is excellent, indicating the ontology has good knowledge extensibility, and also proving the efficiency of the scheme proposed in this work. Besides, the application model of a term hierarchy in information retrieval can show a richer semantic relation than the original thesaurus to guide the retrieval extension of government information resources. 83rd Annual Meeting of the Association for Information Science & Technology October 25-29, 2020. Metrics have emerged as an important tool for quantitatively evaluating researchers from a variety of perspectives,including research impact,research quality,interdisciplinarity,and *** in the field of library and information science,many previous studies have highlighted the characteristics of researchers in this ***,only a minority of the studies address the aspect of diversity in research *** purpose of this study is to(1)evaluate the topic diversity of researchers in library and information science and(2)examine the relationships between the researcher topic diversity and research *** propose an indicator to quantify author topic diversity,which we refer to as author topic diversity(ATD).Latent Dirichlet Allocation(LDA)is used to detect topics in the field,while cosine similarity is used to calculate the diversity of research topics in a given researcher’s *** results show that topic diversity in the field of library and information science varies greatly from author to *** addition,weak positive correlations are found between the ATD and citation indicators,suggesting that engaging in diversified topics may lead to higher research impact.

This study aims to clarify the contours of artificial intelligence (AI) and present how it has evolved in different publication venues in the different stages of its development. Based on the noun phrases extracted from scientific papers of AI, the authors constructed the co-occurrence network of noun phrases to visualize the context of AI. There exists a tension between the original descriptive concept of AI as defined initially in the workshop at Dartmouth College and the relatively recent, vague, and extensible concept of AI. AI is used as a technique or boundary object by different scientific publication venues. This paper creatively applies the boundary object theory to clarify the contours of the concept of AI. Besides, the results will bridge the gap between different stakeholders (e.g., AI researchers, government policy makers, and business entities) in different communities together and promote the efficient and effective discussion and communication about AI. © 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Due to the lack of theoretical knowledge and practical experience, the university students have many deficiencies in contribution. We conducted semi-structured interviews with 28 undergraduate and postgraduate students of Nanjing Agricultural University. At the same time, we used descriptive statistics and cross-analysis methods to analyse the motivations of college students' initial contribution and the influencing factor of their choice. Based on this, this paper puts forward some suggestions for the initial submission of college students, and the journals are also provided for reference in the selection of manuscripts.

Research Purpose: The distributed, traceable and security of blockchain technology are applicable to the construction of new government information resource models, which could eliminate the barn effect and trust in government information sharing, as well as promoting the transformation of government affairs from management to service, it is also of great significance to the sharing of government information and construction of service-oriented e-government. Propose Methods: By analyzing the current problems of government information sharing, combined with literature research, this paper proposes the theoretical framework and advantages of blockchain technology applied to government information management and sharing, expounds the blockchain-based solution, it also constructs a government information sharing model based on blockchain, and gives implementation strategies at the technical and management levels. Results and Conclusion: The government information sharing model based on the blockchain solution and the transparency of government information can be used as a research framework for information interaction analysis between the government and users. It can also promote the construction and development of information sharing for Chinese government, as well as providing unified information sharing solution at the departmental and regional levels for e-government.
