Power allocation and relay selection scheme based on system outage probability for energy-harvesting cooperative network

A power allocation and single relay selection scheme is proposed to improve the outage performance for a wireless cooperative network with multiple energy-harvesting relay nodes. The optimization problem is formulated to minimize the system outage probability under the constraints of both relay joint maximum transmit power and individual energy limitation caused by energy-harvesting. By using Lagrange multiplier method and KKT (Karush-Kuhn-Tucker) conditions, the optimal transmit power of multi-relay can be solved. Taking into consideration that single relay is more feasible to implement in practical communication scenarios, a best relay can be selected by calculating the contribution factor of relay nodes. In addition, the lower bound of system outage probability is derived in this paper. Simulation results show that the proposed power allocation and single relay selection scheme can reduce system outage probability efficiently, and verify the conclusion of the lower bound of outage probability. © 2016 Journal of Communications.

With respect to security, the use of various terminals in the mobile Internet environment is *** terminal testing methods cannot simulate actual testing environments; thus, the test results do not accurately reflect the security of terminals. To address this problem, we designed and developed a cloud platform based automated testing system for the mobile Internet. In this system, virtualization and automation technology are utilized to integrate mobile terminals into the cloud platform as a resource, to achieve a novel cloud service called Testing as a Service(Taa S). The system consists of three functional modules: web front-end module, testing environment module, and automated testing module. We adopted the permeable automated testing tool Metasploit to perform security testing. In our test experiments, we selected 100 apps with diverse vulnerability levels, ranging from secure to vulnerable, to perform a series of functional tests. The experimental results show that this system can correctly test both the number of vulnerable apps and their corresponding vulnerability levels. As such, the designed system can flexibly configure various testing environments for different testing cases or projects, and thereby perform security testing automatically.

The technique to integrate the composite hermitian operator eigenfunctions (CHOEs) with the general asymptotic waveform evaluation (GAWE) is proposed for computing the radar cross section (RCS) of a perfect electric conductor (PEC). In the analysis, the orthogonal and complete properties of the CHOEs are used to construct the solution space of a matrix equation. Hence, the solution of the equation can be obtained by combining the based-vectors of the solution space with a set of coefficients, which can be determined by the GAWE technique at a given frequency. The results of numerical examples prove that the novel technique is effective in computing RCS.

The underwater wireless sensor networks (UWSNs) composed of sensor nodes is deployed underwater for submarine data collection, underwater monitoring, disaster warning, navigation assistance and so on. Since the underwater environment is usually unpredictable, and the nodes move or be damaged easily, so there are several vital objectives in UWSN routing such as the delivery success rate, the error rate and the energy consumption. To this end, we propose a data routing algorithm based on Markov model, which logically transforms the underwater three-dimensional (3D) deployment model into a two-dimensional (2D) model, and thus the nodes are considered to be hierarchically deployed. The data routing is achieved through bottom-top forwarding. In this forwarding mode, the delivery success rate can be improved and the energy consumption can be reduced due to the more stable routing, less forwarding counts and better adaptability to the dynamic load.

Due to the sophisticated environmental variations of water current, underwater creature touch, and strong electromagnetic interference, some beacon nodes tend to move or be damaged, which thus results in larger positioning errors of ordinary nodes. In order to solve the error beacon problem, this paper proposes an error beacon filtering algorithm based on particle swarm optimization (PSO), which can differentiate the beacon accurately. Firstly, several location errors of beacons are calculated by an improved Trilateration, and then the beacon with the maximum positioning error is filtered out through PSO. The remaining beacons are filtered out consecutively until the location error of each beacon does not exceed a preset threshold. Simulation results indicate that the proposed algorithm can detect almost all error beacons effectively with smaller variances.

Radio Frequency Identification technology (RFID) is the key technology to realize the Internet of things. Currently, using RFID to locate objects indoor is a hot topic in the research on the application of RFID. In this paper, we propose an RFID system based on RFID technology and Wi-Fi wireless communication technology. And we design a corresponding handheld device client software to realize a visual book search and management system. This system can not only greatly improve the efficiency of book search and management but also save the manpower and material resources to a large extent, which has a practical application value.

WiFi signals have attracted extensive attention for context-aware due to its ubiquity. Traditional WiFi sensing methods mainly adopt Received Signal Strength Indication (RSSI), however the coarse features hamper its expansion. To achieve more finger-grained information, Channel State Information (CSI) is introduced for sensing, based on which, we design a directional human detection scheme via data prediction, which aims to visualize the variations of CSI when human appears. However, this scheme suffers from the limitations caused by the link-centric architecture of WiFi. Considering the demands for omnidirectional coverage of some scenarios (e.g. museum exhibition), we propose a omni-directional detection scheme based on fingerprinting utilizing the relationship between the CSI signal features and locations. Experiments are processed in actual scenarios and experimental results verify the feasibility of our two schemes. © 2015 ACM.

In this paper, we proposed a hybrid encryption algorithm in order to solve the security problems on lightweight data on the cloud storage service. This paper first improves the RSA algorithm in the cloud environment by increasing the length of the RSA key to an extent that it can quickly generate big primes. Then, we merge AES and RSA algorithms on the basis of the improved RSA algorithm. This is called a hybrid encryption algorithm which is suitable for security of the lightweight data in cloud storage environment in order to further enhance the confidentiality of data in the cloud. The experimental result shows that the hybrid encryption algorithm has advantages of fast encryption and decryption, more secure, and it is also able to settle the security problems of users' lightweight data in a certain extent.

In order to make cloud users get credible, high-quality composition of services, the trust quality of service aware(TQoS-aware) based parallel ant colony algorithm is proposed. Our approach takes the service credibility as the weight of the quality of service, then calculates the trust service quality T-QoS for each service, making the service composition situated in a credible environment. Through the establishment on a per-service T-QoS initialization pheromone matrix, we can reduce the colony's initial search time. By modifying the pheromone updating rules and introducing two ant colonies to search from different angles in parallel,we can avoid falling into the local optimal solution, and quickly find the optimal combination of global solutions. Experiments show that our approach can combine high-quality services and the improvement of the operational success rate. Also, the convergence rate and the accuracy of optimal combination are improved.

In this paper, we present a two-hop-relay WCDMA cellular system with queueing capability, where a call can wait in the incoming buffer at the congested Base Transceiver Station (BTS) if no channel is immediately available, so as to reduce the call blocking rate. We develop an analytic model based on Multidimensional Markov chains. Then based on this model, we can obtain the average transmission rate and the queuing delay performance of the system respectively. Finally, through numerical calculation, we analyze the impact of the various parameters on the performance of the two-hop-relay WCDMA cellular system with queueing capability.
