A compact,tunable mid-IR difference-frequency generation(DFG)light source based on a dual-wavelength fiber laser and a 5mol%MgO-doped periodically poled lithium niobate(MgO:PPLN)crystal is developed and *** output power of 233μW is achieved with a conversion efficiency of 0.1%/*** mid-IR wavelength can be tuned between 3308 nm and 3314 nm by changing the temperature of a pair of fiber Bragg grating(FBG)taking as cavity mirrors in the dual-wavelength fiber laser from 26.5°C to 106.5°C.

RFID authentication on large numbers of tags or tag groups has attracted many researchers' attention as an extension of initial one-or-two-tags scenarios. Due to demands of RFID application in supply chain, various proofs are proposed in the purpose of solving existing problems of grouping tags identification. However, it is proved that verifiers in these proofs are not aware of abnormal relating devices instantly, which may cause both security and technical risks and lie heavy upon identification of the problematic tags and readers. In this paper, we propose an enhanced grouping proof for multiple RFID readers and tag groups, according to which the verifier is able to cope with multiple readers and tag groups simultaneously and know the detailed status of the problematic tags. In addition, privacy protection is provided by offering mutual authentication between the readers and tags. Moreover, it is hard for the malicious tags to pass the verification in the proposed proof. © 2014 SERSC.

Since there is much larger channel delay spread, there is serious inter-symbol interference (ISI) when ultrawideband (UWB) wireless communication systems work at high data speed. The serious ISI affects the performance of UWB systems seriously. In this paper, a scheme to suppress ISI is developed for direct sequence spread-code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) UWB systems with a high data speed and an adaptive joint chip equalization Rake (AJCE-Rake) receiver is proposed. The proposed AJCE-Rake receiver spreads the number of traditional Rake receiver taps to collect multi-path component and equalize the inter-chip interference simultaneously. Then the soft output of AJCE-Rake receiver is despreaded with the user's spreading code. Finally, the decision is made to recover the transmitted symbol. The simulation results verify that ISI is suppressed effectively and the system performance is improved evidently. © 2011 Published by Elsevier Ltd.

The technique to integrate the composite hermitian operator eigenfunctions (CHOEs) with the general asymptotic waveform evaluation (GAWE) is proposed for computing the radar cross section (RCS) of a perfect electric conductor (PEC). In the analysis, the orthogonal and complete properties of the CHOEs are used to construct the solution space of a matrix equation. Hence, the solution of the equation can be obtained by combining the based-vectors of the solution space with a set of coefficients, which can be determined by the GAWE technique at a given frequency. The results of numerical examples prove that the novel technique is effective in computing RCS. © 2016 IEEE.

When environmental noise keeps to fractional lower order α-stable distribution, the convergence performance of the traditional blind equalization algorithm is unstable. To overcome the deficiency, on the basis of combining weighted multi-modulus blind equalization algorithm (WMMA) with fractional lower order statistics (FLOS), a wavelet weighted multi-modulus blind equalization algorithm based on FLOS is proposed. This proposed algorithm uses FLOS to suppress the α-stable noise, utilizes WMMA to adjust the modulus in the cost function, and uses normalized orthogonal wavelet transform to reduce the autocorrelation of the input signals. The computer simulation indicates that the proposed algorithm is suitable for the equalization of higher order QAM signals. Compared with constant modulus algorithm based on FLOS and WMMA based on FLOS, the convergence performance of this proposed algorithm is superior. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2011.

A method of utilizing active resistance network to calibrate the temperature channel of data-acquisition unit is proposed in this paper. This method changes gate-source voltage by micro-controller so as to simulate the resistance. Compares resistance value measured by data-acquisition unit with the simulated resistances to calibrate the performance of the data-acquisition unit. Take DT50 data-acquisition unit in CAWS600 AWS for an example. By software commands, output current and A/D sample duration time of the data-acquisition unit temperature channel are changed to resolve the problem of parameters mismatch, then this data-acquisition unit is calibrated effectively. The experiment result shows this approach provide a reliable means to calibrate AWS data-acquisition unit. © 2011 IEEE.

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is considered to be an authentication technology of great potential. Due to the bright future of low-cost RFID tags in practical situations, the authentication towards multiple tags and tag groups has become the research hotspot. However, there are many concerns about the security risks and privacy issues in lightweight RFID authentication scenarios. Many researches achievements have been made focusing on the existence of single tag in one object, while the arrangement that multiple tags attached to one object is out of consideration. In this paper, we propose a practical RFID grouping authentication protocol in multiple-tag arrangement with adequate security assurance. In our assumption, one object to be authenticated is attached with a group of RFID tags. The feedback towards various cases of the RFID tags is timely provided, which is necessary in practical situations. Additionally, the probable position and status of the object can be ascertained with a number of tags combined with the object. Moreover, the protocol is proved to offer enough security assurances and have resistance to various attacks under the security analysis. The regular operation of RFID system will not be severely damaged by the incidents occurred during the authentication process. © 2016 Global IT Research Institute (GiRI).
