Stackelberg Game for Wireless Powered and Backscattering Enabled sensor networks

This paper investigates a wireless powered and backscattering enabled sensor network based on the non-linear energy harvesting model, where the power beacon(PB) delivers energy signals to wireless sensors to enable their passive backscattering and active transmission to the access point(AP). We propose an efficient time scheduling scheme for network performance enhancement, based on which each sensor can always harvest energy from the PB over the entire block except its time slots allocated for passive and active information delivery. Considering the PB and wireless sensors are from two selfish service providers, we use the Stackelberg game to model the energy interaction among them. To address the non-convexity of the leader-level problem, we propose to decompose the original problem into two subproblems and solve them iteratively in an alternating manner. Specifically, the successive convex approximation, semi-definite relaxation(SDR) and variable substitution techniques are applied to find a nearoptimal solution. To evaluate the performance loss caused by the interaction between two providers, we further investigate the social welfare maximization problem. Numerical results demonstrate that compared to the benchmark schemes, the proposed scheme can achieve up to 35.4% and 38.7% utility gain for the leader and the follower, respectively.

A fully integrated 5-GHz PLL frequency synthesizer for WSN applications has been designed and implemented in 0.18μm CMOS technology. With automatic current calibration technique (ACC), the VCO could maintain a good performance under a small current consumption of about 0.3mA. Phase switching technique is used in the frequency divider to reduce power consumption. Using a 1.8V supply voltage, the measured power consumption is 12mW and the phase noise is -111.13dBc/Hz at 1MHz offset.

DNS completes the resolution of domain names to IP addresses, which is an effective means to realize various In-ternet applications, and is also an indispensable part of Internet infrastructure, playing an important role. However, the resolution efficiency and security of DNS have always been a hot spot in the industry. This study deeply discusses the principle of Blockchain-based DNS resolution and conducts extensive re-search on Blockchain-based DNS resolution schemes. Based on compatibility with traditional DNS, these schemes are divided into two categories: compatible and incompatible. For different scenarios, we conduct a detailed analysis and comparison, focusing on the technical characteristics and performance of each so-lution. Finally, the future research direction is looked forward to, and the full text is summarized. © 2023 IEEE.

In this paper, we propose a new asynchronous MAC protocol, the AW-MAC, for bulk-data collection in wireless sensor networks. We develop a routing-enhanced adaptive wakeup mechanism and an on-demand channel assignment scheme that allow the protocol to transform from single channel asynchronous schedule to multi-channel TDMA schedule in an on-demand fashion. These schemes overcome the sleep latency problem of duty-cycling and avoid the inefficiency of unscheduled asynchronous channel access. The simulation results show that our protocol largely reduces the latency on collecting bulk data then the state-of-the-art asynchronous duty-cycle MAC protocol while consuming similar energy.

The increasing mobile devices with better wireless communication facilities trends to be a good opportunity for the development of vehicular ad-hoc networks (VANETs). The opportunistic routing protocols are generally developed from the Delay Tolerant network (DTN). In this paper, we propose an opportunistic routing algorithm called RSUS (Routing Scheme for Urban Scenarios) based on a grouping strategy which considers both internal property and external contacts of nodes. The nodes of network are divided into super nodes, backbone nodes and ordinary nodes. Each type of nodes uses different routing strategy respectively. Then simulations were carried out by the ONE simulator and evaluations compared with the traditional single opportunistic algorithms. Furthermore RSUS was simulated in three different cities. Results show that RSUS algorithm can obtain the optimal performance with a low network overhead ratio and a high delivery rate, it is also suitable for different urban scenarios.

Aiming at the problem that the amplitude of load oscillation is not easy to control in the movement process of overhead crane, this paper designs a switching PID control method based on whale optimization algorithm(WOA) to improve the performance of position control and anti-swing control for overhead crane. WOA is used to better adjust the parameters of PID controllers. The switching control is realized by a switching module, which defaults to the output of the Position PID Controller to provide control force for the trolley. When the absolute value of the load swing angle fed back by the crane system exceeds the warning value, the switching module immediately blocks the output of the Position PID Controller, and uses the Angle PID Controller to determine the control force. In addition, through theoretical analysis and simulation experiments under different conditions, the results verify the effectiveness of the WOA based switching control in position control and anti-swing control for overhead crane. Improve the efficiency and safety of overhead crane in practical industrial applications. © 2023 Technical Committee on Control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

This paper proposes an adaptive sparsity-based direct position determination (DPD) appoach to locate multiple targets in the case of time-varying channels. The novel feature of this method is to dynamically adjust both the overcomplete basis and the sparse solution based on a two-step dictionary learning (DL) framework. The method first performs supervised offline DL by using the quadratic programming approach, and then the dictionary is continuously updated in an incremental fashion to adapt to the time-varying channel during the online stage. Furthermore, the method does not need the number of emitters a prior. Simulation results demonstrate the performance of the proposed algorithm on the location estimation accuracy.

Logistics vehicle and cargo matching problem is a typical combination optimization problem, which has important theoretical and application value in the field of logistics distribution. The proved particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm is one of the most extensive optimization methods studied in recent years, with excellent global search ability and convergence speed. Based on the IPSO algorithm, this paper proposes an effective IPSO algorithm model for the matching problem of logistics vehicles and goods, and conducts the corresponding comparative experiment. The final experimental results show that the algorithm has good results in practical application and can provide a feasible optimization method for solving the problem of logistics vehicles and goods. © 2023 Technical Committee on Control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

The problem of vehicle routing planning (VRP) has far-reaching influence, and is widely used in vehicle scheduling, industrial production, transportation, logistics and distribution. The study of VRP and its associated derivations has grown significantly in recent years. So, starting with the fundamental VRP, this paper categorizes the VRP based on its traits and real-world applications. It then in-depth analyses the capacity constrained VRP, time window VRP, batched delivery VRP, dynamic VRP, and stochastic demand VRP, and provides an update on each type of VRP's research. Additionally, a summary of the VRP problem-solving methods is provided. The study of evolutionary algorithms is the main topic of this paper, and the fundamental solution method is provided in accordance with the development of the algorithms. © 2023 Technical Committee on Control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

In the face of the increasing demand of crane transportation speed and stability, an improved Ant-lion algorithm is proposed in this paper. On the original basis, the quasi-reverse learning method is used to improve the stability of the algorithm and make the initial data distributed evenly. Furthermore, an elite ant-lion growth mechanism is introduced to accelerate the convergence speed of the simulation and improve the simulation accuracy. Finally, the proposed algorithm is verified in the double pendulum system of crane based on LQR controller, and the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed algorithm are proved by experiments. © 2023 Technical Committee on Control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.
