The smelting process of the fused magnesium furnace(FMF) is prone to semi-molten abnormal conditions, which may lead to low product quality and production efficiency, and is also prone to safety accidents. At present, the operating conditions of FMF mainly rely on manual observation of the furnace shell features for diagnosis, and it is hard to timely and effectively identify abnormalities in the smelting process. Given the difficulty in identifying abnormal operating conditions of FMF, this paper proposes a deep multiview fuzzy classification method(DMFC) that can automatically identify abnormal operating conditions. First, based on the three-phase current data, CNN and Transformer are used to extract features as multiple views. Secondly, the Takagi-Sugeno-Kang(TSK) fuzzy model is used as a single-view model, and the evidence theory is used for dynamic fusion of multiple views. This method can effectively fuse multiple deep features, and has strong scalability and a certain degree of interpretability. Through verification of the real historical data of multiple FMFs, our model has relatively high accuracy, false detection rate(FDR), and missed detection rate(MDR). © 2024 IEEE.

Stability analysis and stabilization of semi-Markov jump linear systems with unavailable sojourn-time information

This study addresses the stability and stabilization problems of discrete-time semi-Markov jump linear systems(S-MJLSs) with unavailable sojourn-time information. The sojourn-time probability mass functions(S-TPMFs) of discrete-time semi-Markov chains are no longer confined to the geometric distribution, and it is difficult to obtain accurate and comprehensive information for S-TPMFs in practice. This is because S-TPMFs are usually deduced from the statistical characteristics according to the sampled-data, while adequate samples are often costly and time consuming. In this study, when the S-TPMFs for semi-Markov chains are assumed to be unavailable, the σ-error mean square stability is investigated for discrete-time S-MJLSs with some widely used assumptions; for semi-Markov chains, only the transition probability matrix of the embedded chain is used. In addition, the existence conditions of the effective controller are provided for closed-loop systems without using the information of S-TPMFs. Numerical examples are presented to illustrate the validity of the obtained theoretical results.

Human societies and natural environments form a complex ecological system, in which human activities can change the ecological environment, the changes in the ecological environment can influence human social activities in reverse. This paper introduces a punitive mechanism as environmental feedback into co-evolutionary systems, and proposes a replicator dynamic model which aims to explain the evolutionary strategies adopted by populations for the multiplayer snowdrift games. We obtain the necessary and sufficient condition for the existence and stability of the internal equilibrium point by studying on the Jacobian matrix, and the effectiveness of the theoretical results is examined by numerical simulations. We identify that the threshold parameter in multiplayer snowdrift games determines the evolution of the closed-loop system. Specifically, the system exhibits limit cycles when the threshold is small enough. As the threshold increases, the system converges to a stable internal equilibrium point. Finally, if the threshold reaches a sufficiently large value, the proportion of cooperators in the population is high, while the group of punishers becomes extinct, indicating the loss of environmental feedback. © 2024 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

Distributed generalized Nash equilibrium seeking:event-triggered coding-decoding-based secure communication

In this paper, we consider the distributed generalized Nash equilibrium(GNE) seeking problem in strongly monotone games. The transmission among players is implemented through a digital communication network with limited bandwidth. For improving communication efficiency or/and security, an event-triggered coding-decoding-based communication is first proposed, where the data(decision variable) are first mapped to a series of finite-level codewords and, only when an event condition is satisfied, then sent to the neighboring agents. Moreover, a distributed communication-efficient GNE seeking algorithm is constructed accordingly,and the overrelaxation scheme is further taken into consideration. Through primal-dual analysis, the proposed algorithm is proven to converge to a variational GNE with fixed step-sizes by recasting it as an inexact forward-backward iteration. Finally, numerical simulations illustrate the benefit of the proposed algorithms in terms of saving communication resources.

A Novel Extraction Model with Effective Separation Coefficient for Rare Earth Extraction Process

For the rare earth extraction process is complicated, and its mechanistic model is usually ideal, which fails to fully consider the actual separation effect in the field extraction process. This oversight results in a significant discrepancy between the theoretical solute concentration at each stage and the empirical data from on-site production. To rectify this issue, we introduce an effective separation coefficient, thereby enabling the creation of a model capable of accurately determining the concentration of rare earth elements (REE) within each extraction extractor. This model also facilitates the construction of an optimized objective function for determining the effective separation coefficient. Taking into account the multi-peak and multi-variable nature of the optimized objective function, we put forth an enhanced version of the chaotic double mutation adaptive differential evolution algorithm: the Linear-Chaos and Two Mutation Strategies of Adaptive Differential Evolution with Covariance Matrix and Cauchy Perturbation (CC-LCTADE). Initially, a chaotic sequence is integrated into the improved algorithm to generate the initial population, thereby amplifying population diversity. Subsequently, a Covariance Matrix and Cauchy perturbation framework is incorporated into a novel characteristic coordinate system, established during the mutation and crossover processes, thereby improving its capability to prevent premature convergence. Given the variable performance requirements of the mutation strategy at different evolutionary stages, the proposed method employs a DE/current-to pbest/1 and DE/rand/1 double mutation strategy. Ultimately, adaptive techniques are utilized to determine the values of F, CR, and NP. Simulation results tested on the function CEC2017 indicate a clear superiority of CC-LCTADE over other algorithms. The tribological characteristics of the magnetic fluid are studied with the change of multi-pole distribution in this paper. The maximum magnetic field strength and its gradient on the surface of the magnetic-group are analyzed by the finite element analysis of the magnetic field strength distribution at the same magnetic-group with the area ratio of 30%. The research results show that the matching distribution among N-S magnetic-pole groups at the same pole area ratio of 30% has less influence on the magnetic specimen surface, but the magnetic field distribution of magnetic-pole with the rectangular permanent magnet in the annular friction surface has the optimal range of magnetic field distribution design for specific magnetic fluid lubrication, in which pole group specimen 5 is the best magnetic-pole magnetic-group combination for friction reduction, and specimen 1 is the second best. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Unsupervised learning of depth and ego-motion with absolutely global scale recovery from visual and inertial data sequences

In this paper, we propose an unsupervised learning method for jointly estimating monocular depth and ego-motion, which is capable to recover the absolute scale of global camera trajectory. In order to solve the general problems of scale drift and scale ambiguity of monocular camera, we fuse geometric movement data from inertial measurement unit (IMU), and use Bi-directional Long Short-Term Memory (BiLSTM) to extract temporal features. Besides, we add a lightweight and efficient attention mechanism, Convolutional Block Attention Module (CBAM), to Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) to complete the extraction of image features. Considering the scenes with severe illumination changes, ambiguous structures, moving objects and occlusions, especially scenes with progressively-variant textures, the geometric features can provide adaptive estimation results in the case of the degeneration of visual features. Experiments on the KITTI driving dataset reveal that our scheme achieves promising results in the estimation of camera pose and depth. A Task Assignment Scheme Designed for Online Urban Sensing Based on Sparse Mobile Crowdsensing

Sparse Mobile Crowdsensing (SMCS) achieves urban-scale environmental sensing by assigning tasks to workers in specific subareas and inferring global data from the collected information. However, the effectiveness of SMCS is often limited because many studies overlook workers' mobility and data collection time during subarea selection, as well as the time constraints of the sensing cycle in task assignment. This may affect the task completion timeliness and data quality. To address these issues, we develop a subarea evaluation method based on deep reinforcement learning, considering both the temporal effectiveness of sensing tasks and the importance of subarea selection for data inference. Using the subarea evaluation values derived from this method, we establish an online urban sensing task assignment model which is subject to constraints of sensing cycle time and cost budget. This model aims to find the task assignment result that minimizes data inference error by maximizing the comprehensive utility value. Considering the characteristics of the task assignment model, we propose an evolutionary algorithm named OTA-EA, which is based on an improved genetic algorithm. Its enhanced evolutionary operators can avoid generating infeasible solutions while maintaining robust search and optimization performance. Lastly, we conduct experimental evaluations of these methods on the real-world datasets. The results demonstrate that our subarea evaluation method can significantly reduce the data inference error, and our evolutionary task assignment algorithm can achieve better task assignment results than the baseline algorithms. © 2014 IEEE.
