In this work, the control problem for type-2 T-S fuzzy system with packet dropouts is investigated by modeling the system as a switched system with an unstable subsystem. The mode-dependent average dwell time approach in both slow and fast switching sense is utilized for the analysis and synthesis. A sufficient condition is given by ensuring the packet loss rate no bigger than the specific fast switching mode-dependent average dwell time (MDADT) and the corresponding feedback matrices are obtained. Several simulation results illustrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method and the priority of the type-2 fuzzy system on describing some nonlinear systems.

Real-time optimization and control of an industrial ethylbenzene dehydrogenation process

Styrene is one of the most important monomers in the petrochemical industry. In this study, a novel methodology for tight integration of Real-Time optimization (RTO) and Model Predictive control (MPC) is applied to an industrial ethylbenzene dehydrogenation process for producing styrene. This optimization-control framework is able to improve the automation level of ethylbenzene dehydrogenation process under various unfavourable conditions, especially the plant-model mismatch and disturbances. In the RTO layer, a constraint-adaptation strategy is adopted, which makes it easier to update the steady-state model. In the MPC layer, an MPC with Nonlinear Successive Linearization (MPC-NSL) is employed to deal with the nonlinear dynamic characteristics of the process and to match the steady-state gain at the steady-state point. In addition, an economic Steady-State Target optimization (SSTO) layer is inserted between RTO and MPC layers to update continuously the set-points for MPC. The two-layered integration framework is easy to maintain because the models adopted in the three layers originate from the same nonlinear dynamic model. The comprehensive dynamic model of the styrene process is developed based on two large core fixed-bed axial-radial flow reactors described by Partial Differential Algebraic Equations (PDAE). The model parameters are corrected, and accuracy is validated using actual industrial data before it is used for simulation. This paper is concerned with the L2- L∞state estimation problem for discrete-time delay neural networks with missing measurements and randomly occurring sensor linearity. The phenomena of missing measurements and randomly occurring sensor linearity are constructed with two sequences of random variables, which obey the partial Bernoulli distribution. A sufficient condition is firstly given such that the augmented filtering error system is stochastically stable with a guaranteed optimal L2- L∞performance by solving a set of linear matrix inequalities(LMIs). Finally, a simulation example is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2016 TCCT.

Study on Food Information Online Monitoring System Utilized Wireless Sensor Network

The farmland information monitoring generally has the characteristics of complex environment, more monitoring point and wide coverage. Wireless sensor networks technical is the main means to realize variables information collection of agricultural environment network. In order to solve the problem of reliable real-time transmission, a farmland information online monitoring based on wireless sensor network has been designed, which the ZigBee wireless communication technology was used. Monitoring data of different farmland regions are transmitted through the GPRS network to the monitoring center securely and reliably. The use of data monitoring center is aimed at collecting data for processing. The results show that the online monitoring system of field information can automatically complete the data acquisition and transmission throw GPRS network, the data can be sent to the data server with high stability, high reliability, punctuality, meeting the basic requirements of on-line monitoring of farmland information.

Moving window local outlier probability U+0028 MWLoOP U+0029 is an outlier detecting method which was proposed for monitoring time-varying industrial processes;however, for the practical industrial processes, besides the timevarying characters caused by deactivation of catalyst, measuring instrument drifting and so on, the operation mode is often switched as the adjusting of the feedstock, changes in market demands and so on. Although the MWLoOP algorithm can deal with the time-varying process data, the multi-mode process data will lead to a mass of false alarm. To solve this problem, an external analysis moving window local outlier probability U+0028 EA-MWLoOP U+0029 algorithm is proposed in this study. The external analysis is employed to eliminate the influence of operation mode change on the process data, then the MWLoOP method can deal with complex distribution time-varying data, and give an outlier probability. Finally, the corresponding statistic and control limit are constructed to detect the process fault. In addition, while the monitoring model is being updated, the control limit is not necessary to update. The performance of this method is evaluated through a case study of a non-isothermal continuous stirred tank reactor U+0028 CSTR U+0029. IEEE

Integral control on nonlinear spaces: two extensions

This paper applies the recently developed framework for integral control on nonlinear spaces to two non-standard cases. First, we show that perfect target stabilization in presence of actuation bias holds also if this bias is state dependent. This might not be surprising, but in practice it provides an easy way to robustly cancel nonlinear dynamics of the uncontrolled plant. We specifically illustrate this for robust stabilization of a pendulum at arbitrary angle. Second, as previous work has been restricted to systems with as many control inputs as configuration dimensions, we here provide results for integral control of a non-holonomic system. More precisely, we design robust steering control of a rigid body under velocity bias. © 2016

This paper studies a kind of formation control problem with direction adjustment of discrete-time multi-agent systems. Different with existing works, the involving control strategy has a property that, not only promotes the desired formation, but also has rotational behaviors according to the designed direction of control. Based on several mathematical techniques, some sufficient criteria are obtained in terms of algebraic conditions. The obtained criteria show that the actual formation shape is capable of rotate with respect to the desirable direction if the whole systems execute some scheduled targets. Subsequently, an example is provided to illustrate the applicability of the presented formation control.

An online monitoring method, which aims to deal with the high order non-Gaussian characteristics in chemical process, is proposed in this paper. In the framework of the proposed method, kernel based independent component analysis is utilized to identify the operation status of the chemical process and statistics pattern analysis is employed to combine with independent component analysis to extract high order information from the process so as to improve the monitoring performance. The modified statistics pattern analysis introduces the Mahalanobis distance into statistics pattern to analyze the inner structure relationship between the samples. Then, the validity and effectiveness of our proposed method is illustrated by applying to a representative non-Gaussian process, Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor (CSTR). The results show that the proposed method has its advantages when compared to other conventional Eigen-decomposition monitoring algorithms.
