This paper investigates synchronization of dynamical networks with both system delay and transmission delay by applying pinning impulsive control. Based on the comparison theorem and the theory of impulsive functional differential equations, some novel criteria are obtained, from which the proportion of pinned nodes is able to be determined. A numerical example is given to verify the effectiveness of the theoretical results.

This paper considers the distributed estimation of an unstable target via constant-gain estimators under local communications and channel fading. The communication graph is assumed to be fixed and undirected, and the channel fading is assumed to be identical. Necessary and sufficient conditions on communication network over which the state of the unstable target can be estimated in the mean square sense are given for both continuous-time and discrete-time cases, which reveal the fundamental limitation on distributed estimation induced by local communications, channel fading, and target dynamics. In addition, our results for the case without channel fading and the case with separate communications are consistent with the results in the literature.

This paper investigates the problem of joint design of a receding horizon control and the medium access scheduling for quantized control systems over limited bandwidth networks, in which only a limited number of actuators are allowed to communicate with the controller at each time instant. By introducing a communication scheduling matrix to describe the medium access status and considering the influence of quantizers, we can model the control system as a switched model with structured norm-bounded uncertainties. The stabilizing channels with guaranteed stability are chosen first. Based on the stabilizing channels, a receding horizon control strategy with optimal dynamic resource allocation is proposed by minimizing the upper bound on a finite-horizon quadratic performance index. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the developed method finally.

Welding robots application can greatly enhance the production efficiency. And effective welding robot path planning is important for improving the efficiency of welding robot. Due to its simplicity, high search accuracy and fast convergence rate, the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm was used to study welding robot in this paper. A novel hybrid discrete PSO algorithm (HDPSO) was proposed to improve the basic discrete PSO after the light ray optimization, genetic algorithm and chaos optimization strategies were combined first. Then, the HDPSO was used to solve 3-dimensional welding path planning problem. Besides, a welding robot path planning simulation system was designed to realize user friendly path planning, and its practicality was verified by performance test.
