Graph anomaly detection is crucial for identifying nodes that deviate from regular behavior within graphs, benefiting various domains such as fraud detection and social network. Although existing reconstruction-based methods have achieved considerable success, they may face the Anomaly Overfitting and Homophily Trap problems caused by the abnormal patterns in the graph, breaking the assumption that normal nodes are often better reconstructed than abnormal ones. Our observations indicate that models trained on graphs with fewer anomalies exhibit higher detection performance. Based on this insight, we introduce a novel two-stage framework called Anomaly-Denoised Autoencoders for Graph Anomaly Detection (ADA-GAD). In the first stage, we design a learning-free anomaly-denoised augmentation method to generate graphs with reduced anomaly levels. We pretrain graph autoencoders on these augmented graphs at multiple levels, which enables the graph autoencoders to capture normal patterns. In the next stage, the decoders are retrained for detection on the original graph, benefiting from the multi-level representations learned in the previous stage. Meanwhile, we propose the node anomaly distribution regularization to further alleviate Anomaly Overfitting. A Novel Local Search Algorithm Based on Connectivity Method and Vertex Penalty Mechanism for Minimum Weighted Connected Dominating Set Problem

The minimum weighted connected dominating set problem is a classical NP-hard problem with wide applications in practice. In this paper, an efficient local search algorithm is proposed to solve this problem. In this algorithm, firstly, an initial solution construction method based on greedy randomized adaptive strategy is adopted, which can balance the quality and the diversity of the initial solutions. Second, two new scoring functions, Ascore and Cscore, are proposed to increase the diversity of deleted vertices. Third, a new connectivity method is proposed so that the algorithm no longer relies on the shortest path between two connected components. Fourth, a vertex penalty mechanism is introduced, which helps the algorithm to jump out of the local optimum effectively. Fifth, two scoring functions, Ascore and Cscore, are combined with the vertex penalty mechanism to propose an effective vertex selection method, which helps the algorithm to select suitable vertices to be added to or removed from the current candidate solution. Finally, the propsoed local search algorithm is compared with seven state-of-the-art algorithms on three types of benchmark instances. The experimental results show that the algorithm exhibits better performance on these three types of classical benchmark instances. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Intelligent Manufacturing has attracted global and continuous attention recent years, with more and more intelligent devices and systems applied in production. In this paper, we take China’s manufacturing listed firms to investigate the productivity difference between intelligent and general manufacturing firms. By the Cobb-Douglas production function, we built a Coefficient-varying Model and used Seemingly Unrelated Regression (SUR) to estimate the time-varying trend of productivity from 2011 to 2017. The empirical results show that “Intelligent Manufacturing” has obviously promoted the Labor factor utilization efficiency and the Total Factor Productivity (TFP) through the advances in technology. But it doesn’t have universally enhancing effect of all industries. The impact of “Intelligent Manufacturing” still remains to be observed overtime.

Multi-view SVM Classification with Feature Selection

With the rapid development of data mining technology, multi-view learning (MVL) has become a new research field, which has attracted wide attention of scholars at home and abroad. Multi-view learning is to combine multiple view data of the same entity for data classification, thereby improving learning performance. Previous multi-view research methods mainly concentrate on the relationship between different data views for classification problems. However, when the data is in high dimensions, it is necessary to perform feature selection in the multi-view data classification process. In this paper, we proposed a Multi-view Support Vector Machine Classification with Feature Selection (MSVMCFS) algorithm, which can not only classify multi-view data, but also select features for each view data in the process of classification. In the model, feature selection is performed by the l 1 norm sparsity regularization, and consistency and complementarity between the two views are maintained. To achieve the optimization goal, we adopt linear programming to solve the model. The experimental results on 30 binary datasets demonstrate the validity of the model.

The main problem of this paper is to establish a recognition model for the risk preference of brokerage individual customer. It is based on transaction data. Its core algorithm is the use of improved K-means algorithm. Its process includes the principal component analysis and clustering operation of the data. In this paper, we improve the design of automatic merging approximation class in clustering algorithm. The main basis of customer risk is the investment subject of the customer. The contribution of this research is to promote the accuracy and success rate of marketing and provide a good support for the company to make reasonable marketing decision. © 2016, ICIC International. Impact of Consumer Perceived Characteristics on Fruit Sales: Evidence from Community Group-buying

There is a growing trend among retailers to sell fruits through their community group-buying (CGB) channels. Based on real operational data, we employ econometric models to empirically analyze how consumer perception characteristics in CGB affect fruit sales. Our findings suggest that incorporating subjective experiences into product descriptions can positively impact fruit sales for retailers; fresh produce stores outperform regular stores in fruit sales of CGB; Dark-colored fruits sell more than light-colored fruits in the CGB channel. Our study offers valuable insights for retailers selling fruits through CGB channels.

Studies and implementation of the trusted process mechanism in a secure operating system

The trusted process mechanism is an important part of the operating system security mechanism, but there is no uniform definition of the trusted process and there are some limitations in understanding its fundamental properties. In this paper, the trustworthiness of a trusted process is discussed in terms of privilege, data-operated integrity, functional and logic correctness, self-integrity, availability and trusted interactions. A trusted process definition is then given which summarizes the fundamental properties of a trusted process as a theoretical foundation for researching and enforcing the trusted process mechanism. A prototype of a trusted process mechanism is implemented in a secure operating system based on Linux, with the trustworthiness of the trusted process assured in many ways to improve and extende the original trust mechanisms in Linux.

QGEval: Benchmarking Multi-dimensional Evaluation for Question Generation

Automatically generated questions often suffer from problems such as unclear expression or factual inaccuracies, requiring a reliable and comprehensive evaluation of their quality. Human evaluation is widely used in the field of question generation (QG) and serves as the gold standard for automatic metrics. However, there is a lack of unified human evaluation criteria, which hampers consistent and reliable evaluations of both QG models and automatic metrics. To address this, we propose QGEval, a multi-dimensional Evaluation benchmark for Question Generation, which evaluates both generated questions and existing automatic metrics across 7 dimensions: fluency, clarity, conciseness, relevance, consistency, answerability, and answer consistency. We demonstrate the appropriateness of these dimensions by examining their correlations and distinctions. Through consistent evaluations of QG models and automatic metrics with QGEval, we find that 1) most QG models perform unsatisfactorily in terms of answerability and answer consistency, and 2) existing metrics fail to align well with human judgments when evaluating generated questions across the 7 dimensions. Prompt Tuning Pushes Farther, Contrastive Learning Pulls Closer: A Two-Stage Approach to Mitigate Social Biases

As the representation capability of Pre-trained Language Models (PLMs) improve, there is growing concern that they will inherit social biases from unprocessed corpora. Most previous debiasing techniques used Counterfactual data Augmentation (CDA) to balance the training corpus. However, CDA slightly modifies the original corpus, limiting the representation distance between different demographic groups to a narrow range. As a result, the debiasing model easily fits the differences between counterfactual pairs, which affects its debiasing performance with limited text resources. In this paper, we propose an adversarial training-inspired two-stage debiasing model using Contrastive learning with Continuous Prompt Augmentation (named CCPA) to mitigate social biases in PLMs’ encoding. In the first stage, we propose a data augmentation method based on continuous prompt tuning to push farther the representation distance between sample pairs along different demographic groups. In the second stage, we utilize contrastive learning to pull closer the representation distance between the augmented sample pairs and then fine-tune PLMs’ parameters to get debiased encoding. Our approach guides the model to achieve stronger debiasing performance by adding difficulty to the training process. Extensive experiments show that CCPA outperforms baselines in terms of debiasing performance. Meanwhile, experimental results on the GLUE benchmark show that CCPA retains the language modeling capability of PLMs. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Semimetal Contacts to Monolayer Semiconductor: Weak Metalization as an Effective Mechanism to Schottky Barrier Lowering

Recent experiment has uncovered semimetal bismuth (Bi) as an excellent electrical contact to monolayer MoS2 with ultralow contact resistance. The contact physics of the broader semimetal/monolayer-semiconductor family beyond Bi/MoS2, however, remains largely unexplored thus far. Here we perform a comprehensive first-principle density functional theory investigation on the electrical contact properties between six archetypal two-dimensional (2D) transition metal dichalcogenide (TMDC) semiconductors, i.e. MoS2, WS2, MoSe2, WSe2, MoTe2 and WTe2, and two representative types of semimetals, Bi and antimony (Sb). As Bi and Sb work functions energetically aligns well with the TMDC conduction band edge, Ohmic or nearly-Ohmic n-type contacts are prevalent. The interlayer distance of semimetal/TMDC contacts are significantly larger than that of the metal/TMDC counterparts, which results in only weak metalization of TMDC upon contact formation. Intriguingly, such weak metalization generates semimetal-induced gap states (MIGS) that extends below the conduction band minimum, thus offering an effective mechanism to reduce or eliminate the n-type Schottky barrier height (SBH) while still preserving the electronic structures of 2D TMDC. A modified Schottky-Mott rule that takes into account SMIGS, interface dipole potential, and Fermi level shifting is proposed, which provides an improved agreement with the DFT-simulated SBH. We further show that the tunneling-specific resistivity of Sb/TMDC contacts are generally lower than the Bi counterparts, thus indicating a better charge injection efficiency can be achieved through Sb contacts. Our findings reveal the promising potential of Bi and Sb as excellent companion electrode materials for advancing 2D semiconductor device technology. Copyright © 2022, The Authors.
