Land use reflects human activities on *** land use is the highest level human alteration on Earth,and it is rapidly changing due to population increase and *** areas have widespread effects on local hydrology,climate,biodiversity,and food production[1,2].However,maps,that contain knowledge on the distribution,pattern and composition of various land use types in urban areas,are limited to city *** mapping standard on data sources,methods,land use classification schemes varies from city to city,due to differences in financial input and skills of mapping *** address various national and global environmental challenges caused by urbanization,it is important to have urban land uses at the national and global scales that are derived from the same or consistent data sources with the same or compatible classification systems and mapping *** is because,only with urban land use maps produced with similar criteria,consistent environmental policies can be made,and action efforts can be compared and assessed for large scale environmental ***,despite of the fact that a number of urban-extent maps exist at global scales[3,4],more detailed urban land use maps do not exist at the same *** at big country or regional levels such as for the United States,China and European Union,consistent land use mapping efforts are rare[5,6](e.g.,https://***/open_land_use/).

Hydration Kinetics Model of Slag-blended Cement System

Slag is a fine-grained glassy material formed from molten slag of blast furnace when it is quenched, and it is kind of active admixture. Therefore, the slag as admixtures mixed into cement based materials, whose activity can play a important role in the hydration reaction and improve the mechanical properties of cement based materials. In this paper, the influence of the kinetics of hydration of slag and cement was analyzed, and the dynamics equation of the hydration of slag Portland cement system was established. The influence of slag on slag Portland cement system hydration process was analyzed mainly from the water binder ratio, temperature and the ratio of the influence of slag on slag Portland cement system hydration process. The results show that, the increasing of water binder ratio, temperature increasing and the cement particle specific surface area increasing can accelerate the hydration process of slag Portland cement system in different degree.

Vibration Effect and Damage Evolution Characteristics of Tunnel Surrounding Rock Under Cyclic Blasting Loading

Model test studies based on the similarity theory were conducted to investigate vibration effect and damage evolution characteristics of tunnel surrounding rock under push-type cyclic blasting *** model was constructed with a ratio of 1∶*** simulating the tunnel excavation of push-type cyclic blasting,the influence of the blasting parameter change on vibration effect was *** damage degree of tunnel surrounding rock was evaluated by the change of the acoustic wave velocity at the same measuring point after *** relationship between the damage evolution of surrounding rock and blasting times was *** research results show that：（1）In the same geological environment,the number of delay initiation is larger,the main vibration frequency of blasting seismic wave is higher,and the attenuation of high frequency signal in the rock and soil is *** influence of number of delay initiation on blasting vibration effect cannot be ignored;（2）Under push-type cyclic blasting excavation,there were great differences in the decreasing rates of acoustic wave velocity of the measuring points which have the same distance to the blasting region at the same depth,and the blasting damage ranges of surrounding rock were typically anisotropic at both depth and breadth;（3）When blasting parameters were basically kept as the same,the growth trend of the cumulative acoustic wave velocity decreasing rate at the measuring point was nonlinear under different cycle blasting excavations;（4）There were nonlinear evolution characteristics between the blasting cumulative damage（D）of surrounding rock and blasting times（n）under push-type cyclic blasting loading,and different measuring points had corresponding blasting cumulative damage propagation models,*** closer the measuring point was away from the explosion source,the faster the cumulative damage *** cumulative damage effect of surrounding rock had typically nonlinear evolution pr

A Non-stationary Random Vibration Analysis of Vehicle-bridge Coupling under Road Surface Coherence Excitation

Based on the pseudo excitation method and the uniform excitation input model of road roughness, the 3D vehicle-bridge coupling non-stationary random vibration model of vehicle variable speed driving is established. The effects of vehicle initial velocity and acceleration on the vertical displacement, root mean square value of acceleration and spectrum characteristics of bridge mid-span are studied. Based on the road roughness power spectrum suggested by national standard GB7031, the pseudo excitation method is used to construct a 3D vehicle-bridge coupling random vibration model to study the influence of the spatial effect of the spectrum input excitation on vehicle-bridge coupling vibration, vehicle vibration and the spectrum characteristics of vehicle-bridge system.

Vehicle-bridge coupling vibration of curved beam bridge under earthquake excitation

Based on the non-inertial reference system, the vehicle model of four freedom degrees is used to establish the vehicle-bridge coupling dynamic system model of the curved beam in space. Considering the vehicle-bridge coupling vibration characteristics under the non-uniform seismic excitation at the two supports of the bridge, the three-dimension space curvilinear-vehicle coupling dynamic control equation is established based on the Hamiltonian principle. Then the coupling dynamic control equation of the vehicle and bridge is numerically analyzed by the method of separating variables.

At present, building energy conservation is an important technical field in the construction industry and also an effective way for improving environmental quality and relieving energy shortage in the world. The important direction for developing thermal insulation technology of external wall is to improve thermal insulation performance of building external envelope. This paper uses compound insulation system, conducts performance test, implements corresponding performance test, and simulates energy consumption based on different insulating thicknesses, indoor comfort index and heating index in the different periods, so as to obtain the engineering application mode suitable for compound insulating materials. Research also shows that residents can adjust indoor temperature according to their activities, so as to reduce the total energy consumption and improve the indoor comfort. © 2018, SHPMedia Sdn Bhd. A topology optimization approach based on the boundary element method (BEM) and the optimality criteria (OC) method is proposed for the optimal design of sound absorbing material distribution within sound barrier structures. The acoustical effect of the absorbing material is simplified as the acoustical admittance boundary condition. Based on the solid isotropic material with penalization (SIMP) method, a topology optimization model is established by selecting the densities of absorbing material elements as design variables, volume of absorbing material as constraints, and the minimization of sound pressure at reference surface as design objective. A smoothed Heaviside-like function is proposed to help SIMP obtain a clear 0-1 distribution. The BEM is applied for acoustic analysis and the sensitivities with respect to design variables are obtained by the direct differentiation method. The Burton-Miller formulation is used to overcome the fictitious eigen-frequency problem for exterior boundary-value problems. A relaxed form of OC is used for solving the optimization problem to find the optimum absorbing material distribution. Numerical examples are provided to illustrate the application of the topology optimization for 2D sound barriers. Results show that the optimal distribution of the sound absorbing material is strongly frequency dependent, and performing an optimization in a frequency band is generally needed.

The sudden outbreak of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) swept across the world in early 2020, triggering the lockdowns of several billion people across many countries, including China, Spain, India, the U.K., Italy, France, Germany, and most states of the U.S. The transmission of the virus accelerated rapidly with the most confirmed cases in the U.S., and New York City became an epicenter of the pandemic by the end of March. In response to this national and global emergency, the NSF Spatiotemporal Innovation Center brought together a taskforce of international researchers and assembled implemented strategies to rapidly respond to this crisis, for supporting research, saving lives, and protecting the health of global citizens. This perspective paper presents our collective view on the global health emergency and our effort in collecting, analyzing, and sharing relevant data on global policy and government responses, geospatial indicators of the outbreak and evolving forecasts;in developing research capabilities and mitigation measures with global scientists, promoting collaborative research on outbreak dynamics, and reflecting on the dynamic responses from human societies.
