Mining outliers in heterogeneous networks is crucial to many applications,but challenges *** this paper,we focus on identifying meta-path-based outliers in heterogeneous information network(HIN),and calculate the similarity between different types of *** propose a meta-path-based outlier detection method(MPOutliers)in heterogeneous information network to deal with problems in one go under a unified *** calculates the heterogeneous reachable probability by combining different types of objects and their *** discovers the semantic information among nodes in heterogeneous networks,instead of only considering the network *** also computes the closeness degree between nodes with the same type,which extends the whole heterogeneous ***,each node is assigned with a reliable weighting to measure its authority *** experiments on two real datasets(AMiner and Movies dataset)show that our proposed method is very effective and efficient for outlier detection.

Qualitative Spatial Reasoning with Oriented Point Relation in 3D Space

Among qualitative direction relation models, Oriented point relation algebra（OPRAm） is a remarkable model for robot navigation with uncertain direction information. It has great advantages in providing powerful expressions with very limited information compared with other point-based spatial relation *** original OPRAm is defined in 2D space, and its model and reasoning algorithm are found not applicable in 3D space. We proposed a novel direction relation model named OPRA3Dmto extend the original OPRAm to 3D space,and presented a new reasoning algorithm on Oriented point relation algebra in three dimension（OPRA3Dm）. A further study was carried out for composition reasoning on OPRA3Dm. The proposed reasoning algorithm will deduce new information which cannot be directly detected by hardware. The experiment showed the algorithm had some practical significance, it can be applied to the Unmanned aerial vehicle（UAV） navigation and similar scenarios.

Reinforced iterative knowledge distillation for cross-lingual named entity recognition

Named entity recognition (NER) is a fundamental component in many applications, such as Web Search and Voice Assistants. Although deep neural networks greatly improve the performance of NER, due to the requirement of large amounts of training data, deep neural networks can hardly scale out to many languages in an industry setting. To tackle this challenge, cross-lingual NER transfers knowledge from a rich-resource language to languages with low resources through pre-trained multilingual language models. Instead of using training data in target languages, cross-lingual NER has to rely on only training data in source languages, and optionally adds the translated training data derived from source languages. However, the existing cross-lingual NER methods do not make good use of rich unlabeled data in target languages, which is relatively easy to collect in industry applications. To address the opportunities and challenges, in this paper we describe our novel practice in Microsoft to leverage such large amounts of unlabeled data in target languages in real production settings. To effectively extract weak supervision signals from the unlabeled data, we develop a novel approach based on the ideas of semi-supervised learning and reinforcement learning. The empirical study on three benchmark data sets verifies that our approach establishes the new state-of-the-art performance with clear edges. Now, the NER techniques reported in this paper are on their way to become a fundamental component for Web ranking, Entity Pane, Answers Triggering, and Question Answering in the Microsoft Bing search engine. Moreover, our techniques will also serve as part of the Spoken Language Understanding module for a commercial voice assistant. The servo motor’s flexible acceleration/deceleration(acc/dec) control is an emerging research topic in the automation field. A velocity control algorithm based on trigonometric function is proposed in this *** required parameters, it transforms trigonometric calculations into elementary mathematical operations and calculates the velocity controlling values iteratively, which could avoid trigonometric calculation and reduce the computation time. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is suitable for implementation on field programmable gate arrays and achieves a flexible controlling, enhancing both the equipment’s stability and reliability. It is promising to significantly improve the high-speed computerized numerical control equipment’s controlling accuracy, without a huge hardware resource consumption.

Causality represents the most important kind of correlation between events. Extracting causality from text has become a promising hot topic in NLP. However, there is no mature research systems, evaluation rules and datasets for public evaluation. Moreover, there is a lack of unified causal sequence labeling methods, which constitute the key factors that hinder the progress of causality extraction research. We survey the limitations and shortcomings of existing causality research field comprehensively from the aspects of basic concepts, extraction methods, experimental data, and labeling methods, so as to provide reference for future research on causality extraction. We summarize the existing causality datasets, explore their practicability and extensibility from multiple perspectives. Aiming at the problem of causal sequence labeling, we analyze the existing methods of causal sequence labeling, with a summarizations of its regulation. Multiple candidate causal labeling sequences are put forward according to labeling controversy to explore the optimal labeling method through experiments, and suggestions are provided for selecting labeling method. © 2020 COLING 2020 - 28th International Conference on computational Linguistics, Proceedings of the Conference. The Traditional Chinese Medicine's ancient literature recorded the massive medical theories and abundant medical experiences. To better understand and utilize, the knowledge from the literature, the Acupuncture and Tuina knowledge Graph is proposed in this paper. Meanwhile, a deep learning network is established for acupuncture and tuina-related entity recognition and entity-relationship extraction. Finally, the trained network is able to reach an 82%+ F1-score for NER and 70%+ F1-score for relationship extraction. © 2021 IEEE.

Bone image landmark detection plays a vital role in orthopedic diseases diagnosis and analysis. As a promising approach, the data-driven convolutional neural network has been widely applied in landmarks detection. However, the model’s performance relies heavily on numerous high-quality labeled data, which are difficult to access. A practical solution for this issue in bone images landmark detection has not been provided, so we propose a framework of semi-supervised bone images landmark detection encouraged by the recent success of the self-ensembling method. The student and teacher networks share the same structure in our framework, where unlabeled data are utilized by enforcing the prediction consistency of two networks under different perturbations to enhance the network’s performance. The two networks use a mutual learning approach to improve the efficiency of using unlabeled data. In addition, we also propose a transformative perturbation scheme to prevent model overfitting during training and enhance the generalization capability of the model on unseen data. Experimental results on an in-house hip dataset collected from the actual process of clinical diagnosis and a publicly available dataset demonstrate that our framework has excellent performance compared with other semi-supervised methods.

The deconvolution of infiltrating immune cells and stromal cells from complex tumor tissues is significant for studying the impact of these cells on tumor development, as well as assisting cancer therapies. Integrating cell-specific marker genes from several references, we put forward an AutoEncoder-based matrix factorization method to estimate the cell proportion in heterogeneous samples. The proportion predicted by our method achieved over 0.95 Pearson correlation coefficient (PCC) with the ground truth. Moreover, through analyzing association between cell proportion of tumor tissues and clinical information of the tumor patients, we found that the proportion of cancer-associated fibroblast (CAF) gradually increased with the progress of tumor, and the proportion of B cell in tissues was significantly related to the five-year survival rate of tumor patients.

To achieve a balance between convergence and diversity, we proposed a two-stage HV-driven adaptive multi-objective evolutionary algorithm (TSAMEA). TSAMEA employs a sinusoidal decreasing parameter adjustment method to enhance exploration pace in the first stage. An adaptive parameter control mechanism utilizes historical memory pools and an HV-driven degree adjustment strategy to achieve better exploitation in the second stage. Extensive experimental data demonstrate that TSAMEA outperforms nine other compared MOEAs. The component analysis illustrates the efficacy of each component of TSAMEA. In addition, area and power optimization are now the main limitations in chip design, TSAMEA is applied to area and power optimization for Fixed Polarity Reed-Muller (FPRM) logic circuits and perform well, which further verifies the ability of the TSAMEA to solve practical problems.

Nowadays, recommendation system incorporating social networks has attracted a lot of research attention and is widely used to understand user preferences regarding social relations. Besides, graph neural networks(GNNs) have proven to learn graph-structured data effectively. Thus, integrating GNN into social recommendations has become one challenge. Many approaches encode both the user-item interaction and social relations to learn user preference. However, the implicit relations are also crucial to understanding the features of users and items. Thus, we propose the attentive implicit relation embedding for social recommendation(SR-AIR), which models the user-item interaction and social networks, utilizing a graph attention mechanism on implicit relations of users and items. We evaluate our framework on two real-world datasets and demonstrate that our framework performs the best compared with state-of-the-art baselines © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.
