Transmembrane proteins (TMPs) serve as drug targets for more than half of the drugs currently available in the market. However, it had not been clearly explained how they realize their drug effects through multiple complex molecules bindings actions. Research into TMPs bindings and corresponding structural basis will provide key information for drug research and new drug development. In this study, we defined the binding domain of TMPs according to the binding region investigation of multiple conjugate types. A 3D deep learning model was architected to discover the structural universality inside those domains. The experimental results proved such binding domains existing on the surface of TMPs, and they are structural specific distinguishing to the surface regions without any binding activities. This work provides a new theoretical basis for TMPs binding research and can greatly boost the development of the drug industry.

Currently, security and quality of service (QoS) are critical for any network. The main purpose of security mechanisms is to provide identity authentication, protect information, and ensure that the received information is not tampered with; the aim of QoS is to provide better network communication services. Security and QoS are not independent of each other. The security mechanism affects QoS and vice versa. Both QoS and security pose resource management problems and are conflicting when resources are limited. QoS requires security mechanisms to ensure proper allocation and service cost, and an inappropriate security mechanism will reduce the performance of the communication quality. Currently, numerous real-time, big data, and diverse applications and services have emerged. Moreover, the number of potential threats is expected to increase dramatically. Therefore, combining QoS and security is important. However, as they are difficult to model owing to their internal conflict, QoS and security are normally separated or optimized at a particular point using game theory. From the perspective of resource allocation, this study uses optimization method and considers security and QoS resource optimization by dividing resources into two categories: space (bandwidth) and time (delay). In order to harmonize the QoS and security, in this paper, the two conflicting terms "communication" and "security" are considered as two individual aspect. Furthermore, we construct a model wherein the joint utility is maximized by controlling the packet length. We formulate the utility functions of these two aspects with respect to the effective throughput. The results show that the presented optimization method enables a mobile node to adaptively select specific packet length based on the optimum curve. With the obtained packet length values, the joint utility reach to the maximum so that satisfactory communication quality can be realized without compromising the security, thereby improvi

With the continuous development of e-commerce, buying online product has become a more desirable shopping option for modern people, but the product reviews which people need to consult when they buy goods are easily become the root cause of misleading consumption. Black profit chains of online sales make a lot of spam opinion makers flood the network who guide consumer’s choice by writing deceptive and misleading spam opinions. In order to eliminate the impact of this black interest chain and safeguard the interests of the mass consumers, we propose a new model by using the time series anomaly detection, reducing the time complexity of spam opinion detection found by time series analysis, while improve the performance of spam detection. Based on time series anomaly detection, we analyze the content of reviews and the characteristics of reviewers and take experiments on real dataset that demonstrate advantages and effectiveness of the proposed approach. © 2019, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

For many classification tasks, only experimentally validated positive samples are available, and experimentally validated negative samples are not recorded. The lack of negative samples poses a great challenge for using supervised machine learning. To address this problem, we propose a novel deep reinforcement learning based model to screen reliable negative samples from unlabeled samples, named SURE. SURE has two modules: sample selector and sample inspector. The sample selector screens reliable negative samples from unlabeled samples by two reinforcement strategies. The sample inspector classifies samples and provides rewards to the sample selector. In this paper, we focus on one popular issue in the field of bioinformatics: the ncRNA-protein interaction (NPI) prediction task, which lacks reliable negative samples. Thirty datasets for NPI prediction are used to test the screening effect of SURE. The Experimental results show that our model has a robust negative sample screening capability and is superior to all outstanding sample screening methods used in the NPI prediction task. In addition, we refine 5 NPI datasets containing reliable negative samples screened by SURE, and a webserver (***/sure) is available offering the NPI prediction refined by SURE. © 2022, The Authors. In augmented reality, smart devices need to sense their own position in real physical space and complex scene structure to achieve good virtual reality interaction and three-dimensional registration. This paper proposes a technical framework of visual SLAM, which uses VO and BA methods based on feature points to obtain pose, and applies it to the augmented reality system to realize pose estimation, registration, tracking, collision and other effects of intelligent equipment independent of artificial or natural landmarks. © 2019 IEEE.

Named entity recognition (NER) is a fundamental task in the natural language processing (NLP) area. Recently, representation learning methods (e.g., character embedding and word embedding) have achieved promising recognition results. However, existing models only consider partial features derived from words or characters while failing to integrate semantic and syntactic information (e.g., capitalization, inter-word relations, keywords, lexical phrases, etc.) from multi-level perspectives. Intuitively, multi-level features can be helpful when recognizing named entities from complex sentences. In this study, we propose a novel framework called attention-based multi-level feature fusion (AMFF), which is used to capture the multi-level features from different perspectives to improve NER. Our model consists of four components to respectively capture the local character-level, global character-level, local word-level, and global word-level features, which are then fed into a BiLSTM-CRF network for the final sequence labeling. Extensive experimental results on four benchmark datasets show that our proposed model outperforms a set of state-of-the-art baselines. © 2020 Inst. Sci. inf., Univ. Defence in Belgrade. It is well known that when the fitness function is relatively complex, the optimization time cost of the genetic algorithm will be extremely huge. To address this issue, the surrogate model was employed to predict the fitness value of the optimization problem, to reduce the number of actual calculated fitness values. In this paper, BP neural network, the least square method and support vector machine were fused in the genetic algorithm to evaluate partial individuals' fitness. Sufficient benchmark numerical experiments were conducted, and the results proved that the strategy could reduce the calculating counts of fitness function on similar accuracy basis compared with simple genetic algorithm. © 2020 Journal of Physics: Conference Series.

Aiming at the problem that the QR codes cannot be recognized due to factors such as motion blur caused by the hand tremor and environmental noise in the QR codes of the packaged product, this paper proposes an algorithm based on the Generative Adversative Network to remove QR codes motion blur. Compared with the traditional deblurring algorithm, this method eliminates the process of blur kernel estimation, directly restores the motion blurred image. Gradient L1 regularization is added on the basis of the traditional GAN, which enhances the edge features of the restored image and adds the perceptual loss term, so that the image generated by the generator is closer to the global structure of the target clear image. The results show that the generator can remove the blur and generate a QR code with high recognition rate. © 2019 ACM.

In a increasingly globalized world, it is very important to help students to acquire the hard and soft skills needed to cope with the challenges they will face when working in such environments. However, even though students find this subject interesting and volunteer for it, it is hard, even impossible to teach college students such a distributed fashion of teamwork. In this paper, a case study is provided to illustrate the methodology and experiences of a joint course, distributed software development, of multiple universities from Asia, Europe, North and South Americas. The results show that student can get the spirit, effective communication for such web-based teamwork environment and achieve software project development. The recent developments because of the Covid-19 pandemic are the facts that now students have to cooperate remotely with each other not only across continents but also inside their own city or country. It has increased the awareness of the need for this kind of training and effectively improved the interactions between team elements in different countries and improved the students' feeling of belonging to their team. © 2020 IEEE.
