Whittaker-Shannon interpolation formula instead of narrowband filter (NF) is used to interpolate the signal more precisely in wideband direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation problem when the number of samples is highly limited. A novel algorithm named block FOCal Underdetermined System Solver (BFOCUSS) is proposed to solve this problem. The simulation results validate the superior performance compared with the other algorithms.

Anti-worm is an effective way to fight against malicious worm and has been followed closely by malicious worm researchers recently. However, active and passive confronting technologies in peer-to-peer (P2P) networks have not been studied in depth. This paper introduces both of them to fight against malicious worm in P2P networks. To study their effectiveness in P2P networks, this paper takes the topology degree in P2P networks into consideration and puts forward a four-state propagation model for active anti-worm and a five-state propagation model for passive anti-worm respectively. Both of the models are simplified in the case that size of a P2P network is large enough. The simulation results have not only validated the effectiveness of our propagation models but also evaluated the excellent performance of both active anti-worm and passive anti-worm.

In an underlay cognitive two-way Amplify-and-Forward (AF) relaying network, secondary users (SUS) and primary user (PU) can share the licensed spectrum simultaneously under the interference threshold constraint. In this paper, the joint power allocation and optimal relay selection scheme is proposed for allocating radio resource on cognitive nodes effectively. For power allocation problem, the objective function is to maximize the achieved minimum Signal to Interference plus Noise Ratio (SINR) at SUS, and the constraints include the total transmit power of cognitive nodes and PU interference threshold, the optimal power allocation algorithm and a simple distributed power allocation algorithm are proposed. Furthermore, based on these results, an optimal two-way relay selection scheme is proposed. Simulation results show that the proposed joint power allocation algorithms and relay selection scheme can achieve excellent system performance.

An improved super-resolution algorithm through neighbor embedding with new feature selection and example training is proposed for single image super resolution reconstruction. Firstly, we take the DCT coefficients as the feature vectors, and then adaptively choose neighbors by k-means clustering algorithm. Finally, we learn the neighborhood relationship between interpolated image from low resolution image and its corresponding high resolution image. The experimental results show that the improved algorithm can not only achieve a better recovery of a single low resolution image comparing with the original neighbor embedding algorithm, but also reduce the computational complexity.

network Coding (NC) is an effective technology to enhance the cooperative system spectral efficiency. However, since it is network-oriented, the existing performance metric of single-user outage can not comprehensively evaluate its gain and the impact to the entire network, which affect the user fairness. This paper proposes two novel user fair-based adaptive relay power allocation algorithms in single-relay NC cooperative multiple access channels. Firstly, common outage probability is employed as the performance metric, and to minimize it, a specific condition is deduced. On this basis, the instantaneous channel information-based adaptive relay power allocation scheme and the channel statistic information-based one with lower complexity are designed respectively, which make users' signals superimposed at accurately calculated proportion to maintain fairness. Simulation results show that compared with other existing schemes, the proposed schemes can best maintain user fairness, and effectively improve the common outage performance of the whole system, at the expense of small spectral efficiency.

An improved technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) algorithm, SAE-TOPSIS, is proposed for the vertical handoff decision in heterogeneous wirelessnetworks. The signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR) effects, analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and infor- mation entropy (SAE) weight method were introduced into the algorithm. Handoff decision meeting the multi-attribute quality of service (QoS) requirement is made according to an attribute matrix and weight vector using the TOPSIS algorithm. The simulation results have shown that the proposed algo- rithm can provide satisfactory performance fitted to the characteristics of the traffic.

We present an entanglement purification protocol (EPP) to reconstruct some maximally hybrid entangled states (HESs) from nonmaximally mixed HESs. We use simple linear optical elements such as a polarization beam splitter (PBS) and beam splitter (BS) to achieve this task. Meanwhile, it is shown that the parity-check gates acted by PBS and BS are enough to complete the task, and the controlled-not (cnot) gates or similar logic operations are not needed. Unlike the current EPPs, this protocol can purify not only the conventional bit-flip error and phase-flip error but also the dissipation error coming from the photon loss of the coherent state. It can also be extended to achieve the purification for multiphoton and multicoherent state HES. This protocol may be useful in current hybrid quantum repeaters.
