In order to measure the residual stress of thin film, an automatic measurement system based on single-beam light lever method was designed in this paper. The total system, composed of light path system, laser system, sample support system and speckle tracking measurement system, measured the variation of the sample's radius before and after depositing the thin film, which would be used to calculate the film residual stress based on Stoney formula. Taking optical concave reflectors with given radius as the samples, this method belonging to nondestructive test was compared to the contour method, and the results shown that the measuring precision of radius was within ± 2%, which was better than the contour method. In addition, the system was relatively simple, effective and low cost and the radius of curvature measurement range could be as low as 0.2 meter.

The current density of GaN-based light emitting diode(LED)plays a strong impact on the light output and heat transfer *** this paper,the finite element simulation software ANSYS is used to simulate the thermoelectric performance of LED chip with different electrode *** conventional LED chip and the flip-chip(FC)LED with bumps are compared in terms of the current density and the temperature *** improve the thermoelectric property of FC-LED,a structure of FC-LED with vias is proposed and simulated by the *** improve the uniformity of current density of the FC-LED with vias,the electrode structure is optimized with symmetrical *** simulated results show that the optimized structure obtains a better uniform temperature distribution,lower highest temperature and lower temperature *** confirm the relationship between the current density uniformity and the temperature distribution,the current density uniformity of different chip structures are quantitatively *** results show that the optimized FC-LED with vias shows the most uniform current density,indicating that the thermal properties are closely related to the uniformity of current density.

Light emitting diode(LED) is widely used due to its energy-saving, environment friendly and long life and so on. But the low electro-optic conversion efficiency and the pursuit of low cost always make the LED devices wording under a high junction temperature condition, this can significantly affect the reliability of LED device. As a result, it is necessary to carry out the heat dissipation performance improvements by the structure design and optimization of LED device. The thermal resistance characteristics of LED were studied by combining T3 ster thermal resistance test and the theoretical calculation. Two groups of LED devices with different printed circuit board substrate parameters(with different copper layer thickness and different substrate area) are tested, the results show that the thermal resistance of LED with different substrate area showed a difference as high as 13.3%. For this group, the dimension difference is the two screw holes. The thermal resistance of LED with different copper layer thickness(35μm and 70 μm) shows a difference as high as 32%. The theoretical calculation analysis show that the area of substrate as cooling area can affect the thermal spreading resistance and convection thermal resistance, especially the thickness of copper layer has a great influence on the thermal spreading resistance, the difference of thermal resistance mainly be caused by the difference of thermal spreading resistance;Thermal spreading resistance decrease significantly with the increase of the copper layer thickness. The theoretical calculation analysis also shows that with the same substrate, the thermal spreading resistance can be obviously affected by the layout of the LED device on the substrate. So in order to improve the heat dissipation performances of LED device, not only the choice of material with high thermal conductivity, but the device structure and the layout optimizing of the LED device on the substrate is also important.

White Organic light emitting devices (WOLEDs) based on excimer emission have been fabricated, using only a platinum [1,3-difluoro-4,6-di(2-pyridinyl) benzene] chloride(Pt-4) doped in 1,3-bis(9-carbazolyl)benzene (mCP), a single emissive layer to obtain white emission which comprises red and blue light-emitting spectra. The maximum current-and power-efficiency values of white device are 11.5 cd/A and 9.21 lm/W, respectively. And we obtained low roll-off efficiency and stable Commission International d'Eclairage (CIE) chromaticity coordinates of (0.32, 0.39). © 2011 IEEE.

A novel nonsubsampled contourlet Bi-linear interpolation algorithm for remote sensing image is proposed, which is based on the estimation of detail nonsubsampled contourlet coefficients at high resolution scales. The method employs Bi-linear interpolation algorithm to anticipate the high frequency component on high resolution from the high frequency component on low resolution. The experiment results demonstrate that the algorithm can get a higher PSNR and keep more image detail information than traditional interpolation algorithms. ©2010 IEEE.

In order to improve flexibility of surrounding stereo system, a novel system for 3D audio rendering is proposed in this paper based on multi-beam steering, which is composed of five beam units using linear loudspeaker arrays. By controlling accurately time delay or phase of loudspeakers, beam can be formed in a desired direction. The simulation results show that the proposed method is reasonable and effective. ©2010 IEEE.

Global motion estimation for moving object extraction in MPEG video streams

In this paper, a novel moving object extraction scheme for MPEG video stream is proposed. Firstly, the DC and AC [1], AC [8] coefficients are extracted directly from MPEG video stream to re-construct the DC + 2AC image, which is used to obtain the contour feature of I frame. Secondly, the sparse motion vector field of P frame is interpolated to make it dense and then projected to I frame iteratively. Moving object is extracted by the fusion of spatio-temporal segmentation. The innovation lies in the global motion estimation (GME) algorithm in compressed domain to compensate the global motion caused by camera. Thus, the proposed approach is feasible for almost any sequence including the static scene and the dynamic scene. Since only the background blocks are used to estimate the motion parameters, the computational complexity is greatly reduced. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed approach can obtain satisfactory segmentation results and can be used in real-time system because it is mainly implemented in the compressed domain. © 2009 Binary Information Press.

Particles in the nano-meter size range present extraordinary properties, such as, large surface area per unit volume, large surface energy, low melting point, supermagnetism, self-purification and quantum size effects. These properties have attracted the attention of scientific and technological communities al over the *** the area of electronics production, one major disadvantage of conventional lead-free solders is their relatively high melting temperatures. Higher melting temperatures result in higher reflow temperatures which in turn result in stress build-up and other defects occurring during reflow. The possibility to lower the melting temperature of solder alloys and to improve the mechanical properties of solder joints by decreasing the particle size to the nanometer range, has therefore, offered a potential solution to these problems. Nanoparticles of different solder alloys have, therefore, been manufactured using both top-down and bottom-up techniques. This paper presents the latest developments in the area of lead-free solder nanoparticle's manufacturing. Both the manufacturing and characterization of solder nanoparticles are covered. This paper does not include, however, applications of such nanoparticles. Both work performed in our group and in other research groups, from all over the world, is included, and the results discussed.

When building skin intelligent diagnostic support system, the knowledge representation for skin symptoms is a fundamental design question. Here we present a semantic network as such a representation, and a skin symptom fuzzy inferential system based on semantic network is proposed by introducing the fuzzy inference to recognition and classification of skin microscopic images.
