The current development of electronic products towards miniaturization and multifunction is leading to an increase in the power density of chip and *** high power consumption and corresponding heat dissipation are two of the most serious limitations for high performance *** combination of the carbon nanotube (CNT) with outstanding thermal properties with an air jet cooling provides a promising option for the heat dissipation of high-powered components and *** the present paper,the CNTs are utilized to manufacture the pin-fins for the micro-cooler,and the performance and evaluation of this CNT-based micro-pin-fin cooler are investigated both experimentally and *** effects of various parameters,such as the jet velocity and height,the fin size and shape,and so on,on the flow field and temperature distribution characteristics are comprehensively considered and *** obtained results indicate that the CNT-fins are of quite good strength and thermal performance in the jet impingement cooling environment.

Recently the active-matrix organic light-emitting diode (AMOLED) has emerged as a very promising flat-panel display technology because of its potential widely application for the development of high resolution and flexible full color flat panel displays. However, the encapsulation of AMOLED is studied and developed due to the top-emission structure used in AMOLED. Different from the bottom-emission structure, the top-emission structure requests the light escaping from the device through the transparent moisture barrier layer. In this paper, we investigate the hermetic joining process for glass-to-glass laser bonding with glass frit as an intermediate layer ， using a simplified encapsulation structure. The whole process includes steps such as screen printing, presintering and laser bonding. Through experiments study, parameters as laser power, scan speed, laser beam radius and preheating temperature show a significant effect on the bonding process. The influences of process parameters on laser bonding quality are also studied. Furthermore, the strengths of bonded specimens are measured using a shear strength tester and results show that the laser bonding specimens satisfy the military standard MIL-STD-883G. Micrographs of the bonded glass-to-glass interface are observed and analyzed. The optimal parameters are acquired by orthogonal test and then proved in five experiments.

A Pt thin film catalyst was prepared by a novel green method of micro drop dispersion-oxygen plasma etching (MD-OPE) method with Pt(acac)... as starting material and silicon wafer as substrate. The catalytic activity of the film catalyst was evaluated by methanol combustion at room temperature, and its surface properties were characterized by SEM and XPS techniques. The results indicated that Pt(acac)... can be decomposed and reduced to PtO and ... with small size by oxygen plasma, which is the reason for the improved catalytic activity of as-prepared Pt film compared with the Pt film catalysts prepared by the micro drop dispersion (MD) method. A lot of work has focused on the development of zinc oxide thin film for the active layer for thin film transistors in recent years. In present article, the active layers for zinc oxide thin film transistors were first time prepared by r.f. Magnetron sputtering using a simply compacted 3-inch-diameter zinc oxide powder target, and the deposition parameters including O2/(Ar+O2) ratio, gas pressure and r.f. Power were carefully optimized. Thousands of zinc oxide thin film transistors with staggered-type or inverse staggered-type stack and various W/L ratios were fabricated and electrically characterized. A better result we achieved with normally-off TFT characteristics presents a saturated mobility of 25.7 cm2/Vs, a threshold voltage of 6.3 V, an on/off current ratio over 7.7×104 an off current less than 7.9×10-10 and a subthreshold slope of 1.2 V/dec. The TFT characteristics results can compete with those for the TFTs manufactured from high-temperature sintered ceramic target reported in literature thus far.

The fluid dispensing with a controllable method is one of the key technologies in electronic packaging. The the higher accuracy and consistency boosts the emergence of the new fluid dispensing technologies. This paper first adopted the two-phase fluid principle for the fluid dispensing technology and designed and fabricated the unique dispenser prototype. The slug flow was a stable flow type in the two-phase fluid with an intermittent bubbles and droplets. To control the flow parameters of the two fluids which were the compressed gas and adhesive, it performed an intermittent and a persistent fluid dispensing process. The accurate and uniform droplets without satellite points had the same volume and mass were 660.6nL and 766μg, while the adhesive, compressed gas and electromagnetic valve had a flow rate for 1.4mL/min, a pressure for 80KPa and a frequency for 8Hz, respectively. As the gas pressure dropped down to 60KPa and the adhesive flow rate was 2.0mL/min, the adhesive dispensed to the substrate in a stream mode with a width for 2.3mm. © 2011 IEEE.

White Organic light emitting devices (WOLEDs) based on excimer emission have been fabricated, using only a platinum [1,3-difluoro-4,6-di(2-pyridinyl) benzene] chloride(Pt-4) doped in 1,3-bis(9-carbazolyl)benzene (mCP), a single emissive layer to obtain white emission which comprises red and blue light-emitting spectra. The maximum current-and power-efficiency values of white device are 11.5 cd/A and 9.21 lm/W, respectively. And we obtained low roll-off efficiency and stable Commission International d'Eclairage (CIE) chromaticity coordinates of (0.32, 0.39). © 2011 IEEE.

Microprocessor performance has improved rapidly these years. In contrast, memory latencies and bandwidths have improved little. The result is that the memory access time has been a bottleneck which limits the system performance. Memory controller (MC) is designed and built to attacking this problem. The memory controller is the part of the system that, well, controls the memory. The memory controller is normally integrated into the system chipset. This paper shows how to build an advanced Microcontroller Bus Architecture (AMBA) compliant MC as an advanced High-performance Bus (AHB) slave. The MC is designed for system memory control with the main memory consisting of SRAM and ROM. Additionally, the problems met in the design process are discussed and the solutions are given in the paper.

Color conversion method has been used to fabricate chromatic-stability white organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). Experimental results found little CIE coordinate migration while changing operation voltage from 5 V to 12 V. A simple thin-film encapsulation (TFE) structure has been developed through vacuum thermal deposition in combination with plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition. The luminance of the encapsulated white OLED remain unchanged during the test time. The novel approach is being expected to lower the cost and achieve high-performance TFE. © (2011) Trans Tech Publications.

Isotropic conductive adhesives (ICAs) with stable contact resistance and high thermal conductivity are highly desirable. In this paper, a new ICA filled with silver fillers and singlewall carbon nanotubes (SCNTs) was developed. SCNTs were acidified in a mixture of 98% H2SO4 and 68% HNO3 with a volume rate of 3:1 at 50 0C for 3 h. Carboxyl and hydroxyl groups were produced on SCNTs, and the purity of SCNTs also greatly improved. To prepare the ICAs, acidified SCNTs were firstly ultrasonically dispersed in acetone, then added into the matrix resin, and finally mixed with silver fillers. The bulk resistivity of the fabricated ICAs filled with silver fillers and acidified SCNTs was larger, their lap shear strength lower, their contact resistance stability improved, and their moisture absorption remained almost unchanged. In the curing process, the released heat was greatly reduced and transferred to the surroundings for good thermal conductivity of SCNTs, but the curing temperature was not affected. Therefore, acidified SCNTs can be used in ICAs, and in general, will create a good effect on ICAs.
