Dermal substitutes have provided a template for the regeneration and reconstruction of the ***,the healed skin tissue often exhibits abnormal morphology and functionality,including scarring and *** this study,a composite bioink composed of methacrylated gelatin(GelMA)and chitosan oligosaccharide(COS)was proposed for printing a dermal scaffold using digital light processing(DLP)*** GelMA/COS bioink exhibited suitable porosity,swelling,degradation rate,and mechanical *** inclusion of COS demonstrated antibacterial effects against both Gram positive and Gram-negative bacteria,while simultaneously fostering the proliferation of human dermal fibroblasts(HDFs).Additionally,the application of COS could effectively reduce the expression levels of fibrosis-related genes,such as collagen I,collagen III,and fibronectin *** three-dimensionally printed cell-laden dermal scaffold exhibited excellent shape fidelity and high cellular viability,facilitating the extension of HDFs along the scaffold and the simultaneous secretion of extracellular matrix ***,the HDF-laden dermal scaffold transplanted into full-thickness skin defect sites in nude mice was shown to accelerate wound closure,reduce inflammation,and improve wound ***,the DLP-printed dermal scaffold provides an appealing approach for effectively treating full-thickness skin defects in clinical settings.

Power Matching and Energy Efficiency Improvement of Hydraulic Excavator Driven with Speed and Displacement Variable Power Source

Mobile machinery energy efficiency and emission pollution are the national and worldwide issues. This paper contributes in solving these problems by applying a speed variable power source. Unfortunately, almost all of the speed variable systems have the dynamic response problem when the motor starts with full load or heavy load. To address this problem, a hydraulic accumulator is used to balance the load of the power source for assisting starting of the motor and a matching method combined with speed and displacement control of the pump is proposed to improve the energy efficiency and dynamic performance simultaneously under different working conditions. Also, the power source/valve combined control strategy of an independent metering system is designed to realize flow matching of the whole system. Firstly, a test system is established to study the dynamic performance and energy efficiency of the speed variable power source with an auxiliary accumulator. Working performance and energy consumption of the power source under different rotating speeds and different loads are studied. And then, the hydraulic excavator test rig with the proposed system is constructed. Furthermore, the working performance of the excavator with the speed-fixed and speed-variable strategy are studied comparatively. Results show that, compared with fixed-speed strategy, the electric power consumption during the idle period and partial load condition can be reduced about 2.05 kW and 1.37 kW. The energy efficiency of speed variable power source is about 40%-71%, which is higher than that of the fixed-speed power source by 3%–10%.

Active thermal metasurfaces for remote heating/cooling by mimicking negative thermal conductivity

Remote temperature control can be obtained by a long-focus thermal lens that can focus heat fluxes into a spot far away from the back surface of the lens and create a virtual thermal source/sink in the background material, around which the temperature field distribution can be remotely controlled by changing the parameters of the thermal lens. However, due to the lack of negative thermal conductivity, the existing thermal lenses have extremely short focal lengths and cannot be used to remotely control the temperature field around the virtual thermal source/sink. In this study, we theoretically propose a general approach to equivalently realize negative thermal conductivity by elaborately distributed active thermal metasurface (ATMS), then use the proposed ATMS to implement a novel thermal lens with long focal length designed by transformation thermodynamics, and experimentally verify the performance of the designed long-focus thermal lens with measured focal length f=19.8mm for remote heating/cooling. The proposed method expands the scope of the thermal conductivity and open up new ways to realize unprecedented thermal effects with effective negative thermal conductivity, such as "thermal surface plasmon polaritons", thermal superlens, thermal tunneling effect, and thermal invisible gateway. Flow control for a Two-Stage Proportional Valve with Hydraulic Position Feedback

The current research mainly focuses on the flow control for the two-stage proportional valve with hydraulic position feedback which is named as Valvistor ***,the Valvistor valve is a proportional throttle valve and the flow fluctuates with the change of load *** flow fluctuation severely restricts the application of the Valvistor *** this paper,a novel flow control method the Valvistor valve is provided to suppress the flow fluctuation and develop a high performance proportional flow *** mathematical model of this valve is established and *** proportional-integral-derivative(PID)controller is adopted in the closed-loop flow control *** feedback is obtained by the flow inference with back-propagation neural network(BPNN)based on the spool displacement in the pilot stage and the pressure differential across the main *** results show that inference with BPNN can obtain the flow data fast and *** the flow control method,the flow can keep at the set point when the pressure differential across the main orifice *** flow control method is effective and the Valvistor valve changes from proportional throttle valve to proportional flow *** the developed proportional flow valve,the settling time of the flow is very short when the load pressure changes *** performances of hysteresis,linearity and bandwidth are in a high *** linear mathematical model can be verified and the assumptions in the system modeling is reasonable.

Platoon control of autonomous industrial vehicles contributes to improving the safety and reliability of cargo transportation in complex industrial scenarios, increasing traffic efficiency and saving energy. The platoon control of autonomous heavy-load industrial vehicles is much harder, as the high robustness requirements, low hardware ability and complex un-structural environments. This paper considers the platoon control task from the view-point of practical industrial applications. Firstly, the longitudinal dynamic model of the heavy-load industrial vehicle is transferred into a first-order damping acceleration response model by introducing the low-level feedback linearization control and compensations. Secondly, the synchronization control concept is introduced and a fully distributed control law is presented, which only requires the coupling information of the two nearest neighbors. In particular, in order to ensure the practical applicability, the information processing delays, data samplings and external control disturbances are explicitly modelled and the global stability analysis approach is presented. Finally, we provide real experiments using full-scale industrial heavy-load vehicles to demonstrate our effectiveness and robustness. © 2022 IEEE.

Boosting Explore-Exploit Behavior for Navigating Vehicle by Maintaining Informative Topological Frontier

Target search in unknown environments places high demands not only on an autonomous vehicle's ability to perceive and interpret target cues, but also on its conscious of collecting these cues by active exploration. While existing navigation methods have successfully built target-driven policies by maintaining memory of explored areas, there has been a lack of focus on facilitating target-aware exploration-the informative frontier information at unexplored yet visible areas is often overlooked. In this paper, we introduce a novel topology-based memory structure, Frontier-enhanced Topological Memory (FTM), and a Hierarchical Topology Encoding and Extraction (HTEE) module, fostering the autonomous vehicle's awareness of both environmental exploration and target approach. Specifically, FTM innovatively incorporates informative ghost nodes on traditional topological map to represent unexplored yet visible regions. We leverage an online-trained implicit scene representation to estimate the positions and generate features of these ghost nodes. The HTEE then employs implicit graph convolutions and attention mechanisms to extract cognitive information from FTM, taking into account the hierarchical memory structure, target cues, and current state. Our design bolsters cognitive navigation decisions. The experiments in the high-fidelity environments, including performance tests, visualizations, and interpretability experiments, validate the effectiveness of our approach in enhancing the vehicle's exploratory behavior. The improved exploration awareness for target cue collection, in turn, enhances the success rate and path efficiency of target search. Furthermore, we demonstrate the adaptability of our algorithm in real-world physical environments. IEEE

A New Staining Method Using Different Targeted Fluorescent Carbon Dots For Tissue Sections Analysis and Diagnosis

Visualization imaging of tissue sections is a crucial method for pathological diagnosis of tumour. Carbon dots (CDs) targeting specific organelles have attracted a lot of attention due to their inexpensive raw materials and excellent luminescent property, and they are expected to be used for labeling of nuclei and cytoplasm in tissue sections. In this paper, nuclear targeting carbon dots (N-CDs) with green fluorescence and cytoplasmic targeting carbon dots (C-CDs) with red fluorescence were prepared to achieve co-staining imaging of tissue sections. The two CDs had good fluorescent stability, and their targeting performance and mechanism were studied by cells co-staining and digestion experiments. The section staining method with N-CDs&C-CDs were developed, which is low-cost, simple operation, and time saving. The stained tissues structure distribution were very clear and the information of nucleus and cytoplasm could be extracted. The morphology features and statistic nucleus-cytoplasmic ratio were significantly different and consistent with the results of H&E staining. Therefore, N-CDs&C-CDs are expected to be potential alternative dyes to H&E, and a new method of tissue section staining by dual channel imaging of N-CDs&C-CDs has been developed. These results provide an important research idea for exploring the morphological differences between different cells on tissue sections, quickly and more accurately identifying sections, quantifying the ratio nucleus-cytoplasmic on sections, and then improving the efficiency of clinical diagnosis. © 2024, The Authors. Although doped hole-transport materials(HTMs)off er an effi ciency benefi t for perovskite solar cells(PSCs),they inevi-tably diminish the ***,we describe the use of various chlorinated small molecules,specifi cally fl uorenone-triphenylamine(FO-TPA)-x-Cl[x=para,meta,and ortho(p,m,and o)],with diff erent chlorine-substituent positions,as dopant-free HTMs for *** chlorinated molecules feature a symmetrical donor-acceptor-donor structure and ideal intramolecular charge transfer properties,allowing for self-doping and the establishment of built-in potentials for improving charge *** effi cient hole-transfer interfaces are constructed between perovskites and these HTMs by strategi-cally modifying the chlorine ***,the chlorinated HTM-derived inverted PSCs exhibited superior effi ciencies and air ***,the dopant-free HTM FO-TPA-o-Cl not only attains a power conversion effi ciency of 20.82% but also demonstrates exceptional stability,retaining 93.8%of its initial effi ciency even after a 30-day aging test conducted under ambient air conditions in PSCs without *** fi ndings underscore the critical role of chlorine-substituent regulation in HTMs in ensuring the formation and maintenance of effi cient and stable PSCs.
