This article discussed the changes in color and chemical components on the surfaces of wood flour(WF)/high density polyethylene(HDPE) composite used outdoor in different *** stabilizer,antioxidant,and iron oxide red were introduced to reduce the changes when exposed to accelerate ultraviolet *** results showed that WF/HDPE composite changed significantly in color after only one month natural weathering in hot summer,especially for those facing to south and east *** test showed CO increased and wood index *** to photostabilizer and antioxidant,iron oxide red pigment reduced color change more ***,neither of these additives could obviously prevent flexural properties decreasing.

A study was conducted to test wettability changes of the wheat straw treated with different methods for the preparation of wheat straw particle board. The wheat straws were separately sprayed with two chemicals (0.6% NaOH, 0.3% H2O2) and three enzymes (lipase, xylanase, cellulase). The contact angle between water and the surface of wheat straw was measured and the spreading-penetration parameters (K-values) were also calculated with wetting model. The surfaces of treated wheat straw and control sample were scanned by means of Micro-FTIR, and their peaks arrangements were analyzed. The surface morphologies of treated wheat straw and control sample were also observed by SEM. Chemical etching was found on the exterior surfaces of the straws treated separately with 0.6% NaOH and 0.3% H2O2; furthermore, the spreading-penetration parameters (K-values) of the distilled water on the exterior surfaces of the treated wheat straw along the grain were higher than that of control. The wettability of exterior surfaces of the wheat straws treated separately with lipase, xylanase and cellulose were improved after treating for seven days, and among the three enzymes treatments, the lipase treatment showed best result. The lipase treatment and NaOH treatment were determined as better methods for improving the wettability of wheat straw surfaces. However, in the economic aspect, NaOH treatment was more practical and easier in the pretreatment for the manufacture of straw particle board.

Titanium dioxide nanoparticles were produced in xylem cell of living tree by in situ hydrolysis of tetrabutyl orthotitanate(TBOT) under ambient pressure and temperature. The specimens were characterized using Scanning Electron Microscopy(SEM), Energy Dispersive X-ray Analysis(EDXA) and X-ray powder Diffraction(XRD) spectroscopy. From these results, spherical and uniform dispersion particles in nanoscale and anatase TiO crystalline phase presence in xylem cell wall of Populus ussuriensis. based on the object of study of Populus ussuriensis Kom ‘s increment growth in different growing seasons, this article mainly discusses the influence of climate factors upon Populus ussuriensis Kom ‘s physical features in different growing seasons. The research indicates that Populus ussuriensis Kom shows strong hydrophilic and photophilous features. The amount of precipitation in September has maximum influence on the early wood width. Ground temperature in December and precipitation in February come in second. Relative humidity in January has maximum influence on the late wood width, relative humidity in April or in October ranks the second. While ground temperature in July has maximum effect on growth ring width, sunlight percentage in October comes in second. Therefore, more irrigation should be considered in dry season especially in June and proper trimming should be given to meet demand for sunlight so as to increase the output of plantation Populus ussuriensis Kom.
