Content sharing via device to device (D2D) communication is considered as a promising method to improve the performance of cellular network. However, in D2D networks, the placement of multimedia content is still an complex and urgent issue. Hence, it is significant to figure out a fine-grained content collaboration placement and delivery strategy in D2D networks. For the efficient utilization of the storage and downloading capacity of user devices, we introduce a distributed content segment sharing strategy. In order to improve QoE with limited network resource, such strategy provides users multimedia service with differentiated quality. Then, we formulate QoE-driven D2D content segment placement with service differentiation as a submodular maximization problem, and a polynomial time algorithm is proposed. Simulation results shows that proposed algorithm outperforms the algorithms without distributed content segments sharing mechanism in terms of QoE. It also demonstrates that proposed algorithm has better on the performance of cache content diversity and fairness.

With the deployment of compute-intensive applications on mobile devices, some work aims to support these applications by enhancing mobile edge computing (MEC) using device-to-device (D2D) communication technology. Different from previous work, we investigate the energy consumption optimization of MEC assisted by idle user equipment (UE) in a mobile environment when combining the two technologies, and propose an optimization method for continuous time. In this paper, we build a D2D-MEC model with user mobility. To optimize the processing decision to save the energy consumption in continuous time under this model, we define long-term costs and formulate the problem of minimizing long-term costs as a markov decision process (MDP) problem. The complex MDP problem is decomposed into two sub-problems, where the explicit cost is minimized first and then the long-term cost. Due to the uncertainty of the environment caused by the mobility of the UE and the high dimensionality of the environmental information, we use the reinforcement learning method based on the neural network approximation to minimize the long-term cost.

The problem of vehicle routing planning (VRP) has far-reaching influence, and is widely used in vehicle scheduling, industrial production, transportation, logistics and distribution. The study of VRP and its associated derivations has grown significantly in recent years. So, starting with the fundamental VRP, this paper categorizes the VRP based on its traits and real-world applications. It then in-depth analyses the capacity constrained VRP, time window VRP, batched delivery VRP, dynamic VRP, and stochastic demand VRP, and provides an update on each type of VRP's research. Additionally, a summary of the VRP problem-solving methods is provided. The study of evolutionary algorithms is the main topic of this paper, and the fundamental solution method is provided in accordance with the development of the algorithms.

An on-chip multi-grating device is proposed to interface single-atoms and integrated photonic circuits, by guiding and focusing lasers to the area with ∼10 μm above the chip for trapping, state manipulation and readout of single Rubidium atoms. For the optical dipole trap, two 850 nm laser beams are diffracted and overlapped to form a lattice of single-atom dipole trap, with the diameter of optical dipole trap around 2.7 μm. Similar gratings are designed for guiding 780 nm probe laser to excite and also collect the fluorescence of 87Rb atoms. Such a device provides a compact solution for future applications of single atoms, including the single photon source, single-atom quantum register, and sensor. © 2022, CC BY.

The hybrid photon-atom integrated circuits, which include photonic microcavities and trapped single neutral atom in their evanescent field, are of great potential for quantum information processing. In this platform, the atoms provide the single-photon nonlinearity and long-lived memory, which are complementary to the excellent passive photonics devices in conventional quantum photonic circuits. In this work, we propose a stable platform for realizing the hybrid photon-atom circuits based on an unsuspended photonic chip. By introducing high-order modes in the microring, a feasible evanescent-field trap potential well ∼ 0.3mK could be obtained by only 10mW-level power in the cavity, compared with 100mW-level power required in the scheme based on fundamental modes. Based on our scheme, stable single atom trapping with relatively low laser power is feasible for future studies on high-fidelity quantum gates, single-photon sources, as well as many-body quantum physics based on a controllable atom array in a microcavity. © 2022, CC BY.

With the rapid development of smart grid, the data generated by grid services are growing rapidly, and the requirements for time delay are becoming more and more stringent. The storage and computing capacity of the existing terminal equipment can not meet the needs of high bandwidth and low delay of the system at the same time. Fortunately, mobile edge computing (MEC) can provide users with nearby storage and computing services at the network edge, this can give an option to simultaneously meet the requirement of high bandwidth and low delay. Aiming at the problem of service offload scheduling in edge computing, this paper proposes a delay optimized task offload algorithm based on task priority classification. Firstly, the priority of power grid services is divided by using analytic hierarchy process (AHP), and the processing efficiency and quality of service of emergency tasks are guaranteed by giving higher weight coefficients to delay constraints and security levels. Secondly, the service is initialized and unloaded according to the task preprocessing time. Finally, the reasonable subchannel allocation is carried out based on the task priority design decision method. Simulation results show that compared with the traditional approaches, our algorithm can effectively improve the overall system revenue and reduce the average user task delay.

Logic qubit plays an important role in current quantum communication. In this paper, we propose an efficient entanglement concentration protocol (ECP) for a new kind of logic Bell state, where the logic qubit is the concatenated Greenber- Horne- Zeilinger (C-GHZ) state. Our ECP relies on the nondemolition polarization parity check (PPC) gates constructed with cross-Kerr nonlinearity, and can distill one pair of maximally entangled logic Bell state from two same pairs of less-entangled logic Bell states. Benefit from the nondemolition PPC gates, the concentrated maximally entangled logic Bell st ate can be remained for further application. Moreover, our ECP can be rcpea ted to further concentrate the less-entangled logic Bell state. By repeating the ECP. the total success probability can be effectively increased. Based on above features, this ECP may be useful in future long-distance quantum communication.

LANDMARC Localization Algorithm Based on Weight Optimization

In order to solve the problem that the difference of Received signal strength(RSS) between tags will become large when tags are close to the reader, which exists in LANDMARC system, a LANDMARC localization algorithm based on weight optimization is proposed in the paper. We optimize the weight by redefining the formulas of in-weight and ex-weight. In-weight formula is discussed under the free space propagation model. The definition of ex-weight is obtained by analyzing the relationship between RSS and distance under the log-distance path loss model. We evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm and compare it with the algorithm based on normalized weight. The simulation results show the superior performance of the proposed algorithm in terms of location accuracy.

With the rapid development of e-commerce, the security issues of collaborative filtering recommender systems have been widely investigated. Malicious users can benefit from injecting a great quantities of fake profiles into recommender systems to manipulate recommendation results. As one of the most important attack methods in recommender systems, the shilling attack has been paid considerable attention, especially to its model and the way to detect it. Among them, the loose version of Group Shilling Attack Generation Algorithm (GSAGenl) has outstanding performance. It can be immune to some PCC (Pearson Correlation Coefficient)-based detectors due to the nature of anti-Pearson correlation. In order to overcome the vulnerabilities caused by GSAGenl, a gravitation-based detection model (GBDM) is presented, integrated with a sophisticated gravitational detector and a decider. And meanwhile two new basic attributes and a particle filter algorithm are used for tracking prediction. And then, whether an attack occurs can be judged according to the law of universal gravitation in decision-making. The detection performances of GBDM, HHT-SVM, UnRAP, AP-UnRAP Semi-SAD,SVM-TIA and PCA-P are compared and evaluated. And simulation results show the effectiveness and availability of GBDM.

Software defined networking (SDN) and network function virtualization (NFV) are two most promising approaches for implementing the network virtualization. Traditional Internet will be transformed into SDN/NFV-enabled networks in the future. Through virtualization, the heterogeneous underlying resources enable to provide agile and customized virtual network (VN) services to end users. However, virtual network function (VNF) embedding and scheduling are crucial to the VN service deployment in the SDN/NFV-enabled networks. In this paper, dynamic VNF embedding and scheduling are jointly investigated for enhancing the VN service provisioning. At first, the VNF embedding and scheduling problem is formulated, using mixed integer linear programming (MILP) approach. Then, a dynamic VNF embedding and scheduling algorithm is proposed. For instance, when a new VN service is requested, the VNFs, constituting the service function chain (SFC) of the VN service, will be embedded and scheduled by the proposed algorithm. If the resource and QoS requirements of the VNFs are not satisfied, a re-embedding and re-scheduling scheme will be triggered. Certain VNFs will be re-embedded and re-scheduled. The dynamic embedding and scheduling have flexible network function placement and improves the underlying resource utilization. Finally, simulation results are illustrated. © 2019 IEEE.
