wireless Multimedia sensor network (WMSN) need to transfer large amounts of video streaming data, how to achieve efficient and reliable transmission becomes a research hotspot. Layered scalable coding techniques can reduce the amount of data to improve channel efficiency. The multi-path transmission technology can balance the network load to fully utilize network resources. This paper presents a multi-path transmission algorithm for Layered scalable coding. First, the source node divides the video source sequence into base layer and enhancement layers through scalable video coding. Second, the energy delay gradient and delay gradient are set up for each sensor node. Last, multiple paths with different service quality are set up according to node gradient, so that it can adapt to the transmission needs of different stream layers. Simulation results show that the algorithm has good bandwidth adaptation and can better meet the business requirements of different users.

A new online survey system is proposed. The system composes of back-stag system and foreground system, which to survey several building parameter. In the foreground, pan and laser distance measuring instrument is combine to measure the storey edge. Several algorithms is introduced which measure the building's height, width and length. The system according to actually situation propose K-mean cluster algorithm to distinguish storey with other obstacle. © 2011 IEEE.

Multiple input multiple output-orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) is considered as candidates for future broadband wireless services. In this paper a novel signal detection scheme based on Grover's quantum search algorithm is proposed for MIMO-OFDM systems. Grover's quantum search algorithm is based on the concept and principles of quantum computing, such as quantum bit, quantum register and quantum parallelism. An analysis is given to the theoretical basis of Grover's algorithm and the performance of Grover's algorithm is evaluated. A novel signal detector based on Grover's algorithm (GD) for MIMO-OFDM system is proposed. The simulation results show that the proposed detector has more powerful properties in bit error rate than MMSE detector and VBLAST-MMSE detector. The performance of the proposed GD detector is close to optimal when the failure probability is 0.001. When the failure probability is 0.00001, the performance of GD detector declines. In this case, our proposed improved Grover's algorithm based detector is still close to the optimal ML detector. The complexity of GD and IGD is O(√N). It's much better than classical ML detector which complexity is O(N). © 2011 IEEE.

A key challenge in cognitive radios (CR) network is how to adaptively and efficiently allocate transmission powers and spectrum among CR users according to the surrounding environment. In this paper, we propose a novel spectrum sharing based on our improved Quantum Genetic Algorithm (QGA) in a non-cooperative game for CR network. We improved the original QGA by quantum crossover operator, in order to overcome the shortcoming of the original QGA easily falling into a local extremum when used to optimize the continuous functions with many extrema. We used our improved QGA as a competitive strategy and conducted several simulations in two-user system and multi-user system. From simulation results, it is evident that the proposed improved QGA based spectrum sharing scheme has better convergence rate and higher sum capacity than GA based scheme even in multi-user CR system, namely up to 2bit/s/Hz increase in capacity. The simulation results also show that the population size of QGA affect sum capacity of cognitive radio system. The results demonstrated the effectiveness and the applicability of QGA in spectrum sharing in multi-user cognitive radio system. © 2011 IEEE.

On the battlefield, the cooperative fighting and communication among combat vehicles require higher service level of real-time transmission. Combat vehicles' fast moving and the links' frequent disruption lead to the increase of packet loss rate, packet delay and routing control overhead ratio. This paper proposes an expanding ring prediction and location aided AODV routing algorithm. It improves AODV routing protocol from both routing discovery and maintenance phases. In the rouing discovery phase, the algorithm limits the scope of sending RREQ through predicting the topology ring;and during the route maintenance phase, it predicts the motion range of destination node with the information provided by GPS to avoid blindness routing. The simulation results show that the proposed routing algorithm can greatly cut down the overload of combat vehicular network, improve the routing delay and reduce packet loss rate. It can meet the real-time requirements of the service transmission among combat vehicles and also improve the performance of the combat vehicular network. © 2011 IEEE.

The wireless mesh network (WMN) is effective as emergency networks in disaster area which has a flexible network topology. The efficiency of the energy is particularly important in the emergency communication network. In this paper, we proposed an energy optimization scheme based on the framework of wireless mesh networks. This scheme ensures the data rate achieved under the condition of the original transmission power in the wireless mesh network, by reducing the mutual interference between nodes to make the transmission power of the nodes down, thus extends the lifespan of the emergency network effectively. A number of simulation results show that the proposed scheme can reduce the transmission power of nodes while ensuring the end-to-end data rates. © 2011 IEEE.

In this paper, we present an improved power allocation algorithm that maximizes the total capacity in the OFDM system. The improved allocation algorithm is based on the existing water-filling algorithm. To reduce the computational complexity in calculating water-filling level and make up for the shortcomings of the equally distributed algorithm, we propose the improved allocation algorithm where some subcarriers adopt water-filling algorithm and others take equally distributed algorithm. Besides, we will introduce two parameters M and V in the equally distributed algorithm to increase the system performance. Simulation has been done to prove that our algorithm has the performance better to the existing water-filling algorithm and has the lower computational complexity than it. Our algorithm also can be used in actual systems.

Rate control is one of the key factors influencing the multi-view video ***,there is not a rate control algorithm in the existing Joint Multi-view Video Coding *** this paper,an efficient rate control algorithm and a bit allocation strategy for multi-view video coding are *** order to obtain the consistent view quality,a bit allocation model based on the Lagrange optimum algorithm is firstly ***,considering the encoding statistical characteristics of different view types,a view weighting factor is introduced,and it will help improve the precision of bit allocation among *** with the fixed QP control strategy,experiment results show that the proposed algorithm can efficiently control the bit rate and obtain more consistent views,with video visual quality improved.

Neural networks can easily fall into a local extremum and have slow convergence rate. Quantum Genetic Algorithm (QGA) has features of small population size and fast convergence. Based on the investigation of QGA, we propose a novel neural network model, Radial Basis Function (RBF) networks optimized by Quantum Genetic Algorithm (QGA-RBF model). Then we investigate the performance of the proposed QGA-RBF on solving MIMO-OFDM signal detection problem. A novel signal detector based on QGA-RBF for MIMO-OFDM system is also proposed. The simulation results show that the proposed detector has more powerful properties in bit error rate than QGA based detector, RBF based detector and MMSE algorithm based detector, namely a 4-6 dB gain in performance can be achieved. The performance of the proposed detector is closer to optimal, compared with the other detectors. © 2011 IEEE.

Resource-constrained is a critical issue in wireless sensor networks (WSN) applications. Data aggregation (or data fusion) is one of the key techniques to solve the problem. Data aggregation can effectively reduce the data traffic, thereby reduce energy consumption, and extend the network's survival time. The research of data aggregation relates to many aspects of technology, so that the design of efficient data aggregation algorithm is a challenging task. In this paper, we investigate the effect of essential operations, scheduling algorithm and aggregation tree construction, has on data aggregation performance. The main performance such as end-to-end delay and energy-consumption of different aggregation schemes has been studied and measured by simulation experiment. © 2011 IEEE.
