The graph-based ranking models have been widely used for multi-document summarization recently. By utilizing the correlations between sentences, the salient sentences can be extracted according to the ranking scores. However, sentences are treated in a uniform way without considering the topic-level information in traditional methods. This paper proposes the topic-oriented PageRank (ToPageRank) model, in which topic information is fully incorporated, and the topic-oriented HITS (ToHITS) model is designed to compare the influence of different graph-based algorithms. We choose the DUC2004 data set to examine the models. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of ToPageRank. And the results also show that ToPageRank is more effective and robust than other models including ToHIST under different evaluation metrics. © 2012 Springer-Verlag.

Microblogging is a recent social phenomenon of Web2.0 technology, having applications in many domains. It is another form of social media, recognized as Real-Time Web Publishing, which has won an impressive audience acceptance and surprisingly changed online expression and interaction for millions of *** is observed that clustering by topic can be very helpful for the quick retrieval of desired information. We propose a novel topic detection technique that permits to retrieve in real-time the most emergent topics expressed by the community. Traditional text mining techniques have no special considerations for short and sparse microblog data. Keeping in view these special characteristics of data, we adopt Single-pass Clustering technique by using Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) Model in place of traditional VSM model, to extract the hidden microblog topics information. Experiments on actual dataset results showed that the proposed method decreased the probabilities of miss and false alarm, as well as reduced the normalized detection cost. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2012.

Recent researches on data clustering is increasingly focusing on combining multiple data partitions as a way to improve the robustness of clustering solutions. Most of them focused on crisp clustering combination. Semi-supervised clustering uses a small amount of labeled data to aid and bias the clustering of unlabeled data. However, in this paper, we offer a semi-supervised clustering ensemble model based on collaborative training (SCET) and an unsupervised clustering ensemble mode based on collaborative training (UCET). In the ensemble step of SCET, semi-supervised learning is introduced. While in UCET, the knowledge used in SCET is replaced by information extracted from the base-clusterings. Then tri-training is used as consensus of clustering ensemble. The experiments on datasets from UCI machine learning repository indicate that the model improves the accuracy of clustering. © 2012 Springer-Verlag.

The method of network coding has been proven a promising solution to fanin conflict problems (traffic flows conflicting at input ports) in multicast switches in previous work. However, this approach is inefficient when applied to frame-based switches because of over-splitting with conventional algorithms. These algorithms do not support the benefits of network coding to be fully realized when ignoring the impact of fanout splitting. In this paper, we employ a self-defined weight for the Maximum Weight Matching (MWM) scheme for multicast switches. The corresponding scheduling algorithm avoids over-splitting to any traffic flow. The so-called Coding-Driven scheduling algorithm can remarkably decrease the minimum time slots required for scheduling, therefore improve the efficiency of network coding method in multicast switches as showed in the empirical results. © 2011 IEEE.

Hadoop is a distributed system infrastructure of cloud computing. Based on the characteristics of ant-based clustering algorithm, the paper implements the parallelization of this algorithm using MapReduce on Hadoop. The Map function calculates the average similarity of the object with its neighborhood objects. The Reduce function processes the objects with the Map outputs and updates related information of both ants and the objects to get ready for the next job. Results on the Hadoop clusters show that our method can significantly improve the computational efficiency with the premise of maintaining clustering accuracy. © 2012 Springer-Verlag.

Ensuring high quality of service (QoS) of multicast video stream over next generation network is a challenging issue, and how to implement the wire-speed multicast with hardware logical support in the network nodes of every hierarchy is a key solution to achieve high QoS multicast. Currently, the multicast packets are processed in this way, in which they are copied and then scheduled by ports, lastly, sent respectively. But this approach cannot ensure high QoS in realtime applications. Moreover, the traditional hardware solutions do not possess excellent large-scale scalability owning to their own bottlenecks. In this project, we have constructed a wire-speed multicast switching structure based on Multipath Self-routing Switching Structure, and implemented it on a Stratix IV FPGA chip. Additionally, we have designed the signaling system and control mechanism to support the process of self-routing and wire-speed fan-out copy of multicast packets. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Single-relation factoid question answering (QA) is strongly supported by rich sources of facts from knowledge bases (KB). However, there are many irrelevant information in questions and overwhelming number of facts in knowledge bases, making it difficult to capture goal entity and relation involved in a question. In order to settle these issues, firstly, a state-of-the-art sequence tagging model (BiLSTM-CRF) is adopted to detect the entity mention in a question. Then, we propose a n-gram match (NGM) algorithm with Chinese-specific rules and an attention-based siamese bidirectional long-short term memory (ASBLSTM) model to measure the lexical and semantic similarity between questions and candidate facts. Our whole method requires no hand-crafted template or feature engineering. In addition, character-level models are proved to be effective in solving the out of vocabulary (OOV) issue and improving the accuracy in Chinese KBQA task. Experiment results show that our system outperforms the best system with deep learning models in the KBQA share task of the Conference on Natural Language Processing and Chinese computing (NLPCC) 2016 and our system achieves an AverageF1 measure of 80.97% and 37.18% on test dataset in NLPCC 2016 and 2017 respectively. © 2017 IEEE.

Automatic keyphrase extraction aims to pick out a set of terms as a representation of a document without manual assignment efforts. Supervised and unsupervised graph-based ranking methods have been studied for this task. However, previous methods usually computed importance scores of words under the assumption of single relation between words. In this work, we propose WordTopic-MultiRank as a new method for keyphrase extraction, based on the idea that words relate with each other via multiple relations. First we treat various latent topics in documents as heterogeneous relations between words and construct a multi-relational word network. Then, a novel ranking algorithm, named Biased-MultiRank, is applied to score the importance of words and topics simultaneously, as words and topics are considered to have mutual influence on each other. Experimental results on two different data sets show the outstanding performance and robustness of our proposed approach in automatic keyphrase extraction task. © IJCNLP *** right reserved.

In order to ensure high quality of service for Next Generation Network, we focus our study on the Wide-Sense Circuit proposed in Flexible Architecture of Reconfigurable Infrastructure. First we construct the functional structure of Wide-Sense Circuit and then explore the switching mechanism and module for it, which is called the Multipath Self-routing Switching Mechanism. Its detailed working process includes traffic classification, establishment and adjustment of Wide-Sense Circuit and data forwarding three parts. For underlying data forwarding, we introduce an innovative Load-Balanced Multipath Self-routing Switching Architecture and start on the implementation on an Altera StratixIV FPGA. The inspiring test results prove that our theory and practiceguarantee the high communication transmission quality for Wide-Sense Circuit. © Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering 2014.

Mashup is an information system development project based on Web services. It can build new business processes by mixing data, resources and APIs from different sites or applications, and meet new user needs. However, in recent years, the number of Web API is increasing quickly, and it is difficult for developers and users to find suitable Mashups, which influences the development and functional efficiency of information systems. Therefore, designing an accurate and efficient Web service recommendation method to improve the functional characteristics of information systems has become a research hotspot. At present, many algorithms, like matrix factorization and collaborative filtering, often have serious cold start and sparse problems. In order to alleviate the above problems and capture as much information as possible, we proposed a multi-modal knowledge graph enhancement recommendation method (MKE), which combines structured information and unstructured information of Mashup and Web API. Firstly, the feature information is mined from the text description of API and Mashup to assist the construction of the service recommendation system. Then, the knowledge graph is constructed by using the related attributes and relationships of Mashup and API, as well as the entity and relationship of Mashup and API, and the text features. The low-dimensional embedded Trans model provides Top-K recommendation results for the specified Mashup description. Finally, experiments are carried out on the latest ProgrammableWeb dataset, and the experimental results show that the recommendation performance of this method is better than that of RippleNet, NCF, CKE, KGCN. © 2023 SPIE.
