Low-complexity resource allocation in rate-constrained OFDMA downlink systems

A resource allocation algorithm with quality of service(QoS) guarantees in a cellular orthogonal frequency division multiple access(OFDMA) network is *** algorithm is a modified water-filling *** the first phase,power and subcarriers are allocated together,and in the second phase,users' minimum data rate requ irements are met,while the remaining resources are allocated in order to maximi ze sum *** is a cell-level algorithm,and its main advantages are low implementation complexity and capacity of maintaining higher ratio of QoS satisf ying users' *** results show that this scheme outperform s other proportional resour ce allocation schemes.

Performance of energy detection in cognitive radio systems over a multipath fading channel

In this paper, the performance of energy detection in cognitive radio systems over a multipath fading channel is evaluated. The secondary user performs spectrum sensing using energy detection based on the primary signal that has traversed a multipath fading channel. The detection probability and false alarm probability are calculated and simulated. The results show that the detection probability is affected by the quadratic sum of fading coefficients while the false alarm probability keeps fixed. Moreover, more paths and larger fading coefficients may not lead to higher detection probability. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2012.

With the rapid development of cloud computing, more and more individuals and enterprises trend to store their massive data in the cloud to reduce the expenses of data maintenance and achieve more convenient access. As the cloud service provider is not fully trusted, the accidents involving software or hardware in cloud servers may cause damage of the users’ data, which might be covered by the cloud servers deliberately for its reputation. What’s worse, the cloud servers may also maliciously discard the rarely accessed data for saving storage space. Data auditing can timely detect and restrict the malicious behaviors of the cloud servers, therefore it can improve the quality of cloud service. Meanwhile there are a large amount of data storing in the cloud repeatedly, the data deduplication technique can make the cloud keep the only physical duplicate for the same data, therefore eliminate redundant data and achieve the efficient storage. To achieve auditing with data deduplication, the existing schemes need different users to sign the same data, which consume a large amount of computing resources of the users, especially it is difficult to be accomplished in the case of poor computation in client side’s portable devices. Based on the public verifiability and batch auditing of the POR, we propose a signature-sharing based scheme, for the same data, it only needs the first user to sign and share its signature with the after users for data auditing, this can effectively reduce the burden of the signature computation of the users, consequently achieves both data integrity and storage efficiency. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2017.

A leakage-based beamforming algorithm for cognitive MIMO systems via game theory

cognitive radio has been recently proposed as a promising technology to achieve efficient use of spectrum resources. In this paper, we consider spectrum sharing in a MIMO system where several secondary users (SUs) share spectrum with a primary user (PU). A leakage-based beamforming algorithm is proposed via game theory. The objective is to maximize the sum throughput of SUs subject to the signal-to-leakage-and-noise ratio (SLNR) constraint of SUs and PU interference constraint. The sum-throughput maximization problem is formulated as a non-cooperative game, where the SUs compete with each other over the resources offered by the PU. Nash equilibrium is considered as the solution of this game. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can achieve a high sum throughput and converge to a locally optimal beamforming vector. © 2013 ACADEMY PUBLISHER.

An ultra-wideband low radar cross section (RCS) metasurface with concave cells is presented. The metasurface contains a vertical layer and a horizontal layer. Both layers are loaded with resistive films. The thickness of the metasurface is 6mm (0.136L, where L is the wavelength corresponding to the lowest operating frequency). The numerical results of the metasurface are provided. The metasurface has a low-RCS band ranges from 6.8 to 60.2GHz (relative bandwidth of 159.4%) under the normal incidence of plane waves. The metasurface under the illuminated of the oblique wave also performs well. © 2021 IEEE.

In large-scale social networks, rich-club phenomenon is prominent. The important nodes selected by the existing algorithms are often too clustered, and the overlapping influence between nodes leads to a poor effect of maximizing the comprehensive influence of the node group. To solve this problem, an important node group mining algorithm based on information entropy and overlap coefficient is designed inspired by iterative optimization ideas. The algorithm consists of two stages: importance initialization stage and importance adaptive iterative update stage. In the initialization stage, the information entropy is used to measure the amount of information of nodes, evaluate the local importance and global importance of nodes, and improve the accuracy of the algorithm. In the iterative update stage, the overlap coefficient is used to evaluate the influence of the currently selected most important node on its surrounding neighbors, and adaptively weaken its local importance. Through the simulation experiment of the SIR propagation model, on the four real network data, the average distance between the nodes selected by the algorithm is larger and the distribution is wider, which reduces the overlap of influence and obtains greater influence. © 2022 SPIE.

A wideband loop antenna based on four unit cells of composite right/left-handed transmission line (CRLH-TL) is proposed in this paper. The unit cell is composed of a ladder network with two series capacitors and shunt inductors. The loop antenna based on four-cell nonperiodic CRLH-TL shows wider bandwidth performance when comparing with the periodically loaded loop antenna with the same size. The measured results are good agreement with the simulated ones. The proposed loop antenna is implemented in plane technology which is very compact and can be acted as commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) components. © 2016 IEEE.

The problem of Websites being attacked and has seriously affected the security of the Internet. A filter driver and proxy based website anti-tamper system (FPWAS) is proposed in this paper. FPWAS consists of five sub systems including web file monitor, content publish, web proxy, backup and recovery, and monitor center. The file filter driver is used to protect web program files are tampered illegally, and the protected web sites are run behind a web proxy which has intrusion detection function. Experiments show that FPWAS can work well and has acceptable concurrent performance. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2011.

This paper addresses the problem of energy efficiency for content distribution over wireless network by introducing the mobile cloud. The base station (BSs) distributes a common content to a number of adjacent mobile terminals (MTs) with mobile-to-mobile (M2M) cooperation. A clustering formation algorithm and two schemes for content distribution are proposed in this paper. All requesting MTs are grouped into several cooperative clusters. Their cluster heads constitute a mobile cloud, in which every member can exchange information by short-range links with low-power. Only a whole content is received by some selected cluster heads by cooperation through long range (LR) links and more contents are received by other cluster heads through short range (SR) links. Then every cluster head multicast the content to its cluster members. Analysis of mathematical models and simulation results demonstrates that the proposed schemes significantly reduce the total energy consumption of MTs, while achieving a lower transmission delay.

As the sensitivity of detection equipment increases, it is necessary to select pulsar signals from a large number of candidates. In order to solve the disadvantages of large workload and low efficiency of traditional manual screening, a pulsar candidate detection method using Bagging algorithm is proposed. In this paper, nine features are extracted on the basis of pulsar cumulative contours, and the bagging algorithm is used to detect the observed candidate signals. Simulation experiments verify the effectiveness of this method. © 2021 IEEE
