With the rapid growth of wireless technologies and mobile devices, there is a great demand for personalized services in m-commerce. Collaborative filtering (CF) is one of successful techniques to produce personalized recommendations for users. This paper proposes a novel approach to improve CF algorithms, where the contextual information of a user and the multicriteria ratings of an item are considered besides the typical information on users and items. The multilinear singular value decomposition (MSVD) technique is utilized to explore both explicit relations and implicit relations among user, item and criterion. We implement the approach in an existing m-commerce platform, and encouraging experimental results demonstrate its effectiveness.

This paper presents a novel trajectory planning method in robot joint space, which poses several good properties for the robot motion control. Firstly, it provides the continuity of accelerations on all segments of the planned trajectory by combining quintic and quartic polynomials. Secondly, it can deal with path points with or without velocities and accelerations, which may be very useful, especially when robot is at singular configurations. Finally, it can be applied to both on-line tasks and off-line tasks by looking ahead one or two path points. Simulation results of this method and other trajectory planning methods are also presented for the purpose of comparison.

This paper presents an empirical analysis of the epidemiological data concerning the 18445 HFMD-infected cases in Beijing in *** main findings are as follows.(i) Seasonal variations in incidence were observed,with a peak observed during the summer season,especially in *** patients outnumber female patients by 1.57:1.(ii) Most cases occurred in children 4 years old or *** Weibull distribution and Gamma distribution as to model fitness when analyzing patient ages,log-normal distribution indicates that the estimated mean age is 3.4 years.(iii) The age distribution seems to indicate cyclic peaks with roughly one-year intervals.(iv) Correlation analyses (ρ=0.9864) show that time of birth in different months has an impact on the chance of being infected by *** month seems to present a high risk factor on infants and young children.(v) The morbidity rate is 132.7/100000 during the HFMD epidemic in Beijing in *** morbidity map shows that the risks of HFMD infection in areas close to the city center and suburbans are much lower than those in the urban-rural transition *** risks inferred from the morbidity map demonstrate a clear circular pattern.(vi) The prevention and control measures taken by the public health departments seem to be effective during the summer season,resulting in the early ending of the epidemic (one month earlier than the natural season) and reduced outbreak size.

One view of finding a personalized solution of reduct in an information system is grounded on the viewpoint that attribute order can serve as a kind of semantic representation of user requirements. Thus the problem of finding personalized solutions can be transformed into computing the reduct on an attribute order. The second attribute theorem describes the relationship between the set of attribute orders and the set of reducts, and can be used to transform the problem of searching solutions to meet user requirements into the problem of modifying reduct based on a given attribute order. An algorithm is implied based on the second attribute theorem, with computation on the discernibility matrix. Its time complexity is O(n^2 × m) (n is the number of the objects and m the number of the attributes of an information system). This paper presents another effective second attribute algorithm for facilitating the use of the second attribute theorem, with computation on the tree expression of an information system. The time complexity of the new algorithm is linear in n. This algorithm is proved to be equivalent to the algorithm on the discernibility matrix.

Fingerprint recognition has been increasingly used to realize personal identification in civilian' s daily life, such as ID card, fingerprints hard disk and so on. Great improvement has been achieved in the on-line fingerprint sensing technology and automatic fingerprint recognition algorithms. Various fingerprint recognition techniques, including fingerprint acquisition, classification, enhancement and matching, are highly improved. This paper overviews recent advances in fingerprint recognition and summarizes the algorithm proposed for every step with special focuses on the enhancement of low-quality fingerprints and the matching of the distorted fingerprint images. Both issues are believed to be significant and challenging tasks. In addition, we also discuss the common evaluation for the fingerprint recognition algorithm of the Fingerprint Verification Competition 2004 (FVC2004) and the Fingerprint Vendor Technology Evaluation 2003 (FpVTE2003), based on which we could measure the performance of the recognition algorithm objectively and uniformly.
