A compact broadband absorptive band rejection filter (ABSF) based on microstrip line is proposed. The filter consists of a pair of coupled wires and is loaded with a resistor. The coupling line of the filter has an open stub. The transmission zero point can be adjusted by adjusting the width of the coupling line. The center frequency can be adjusted by changing the length of the intermediate coupling line. Absorption performance can be achieved through loaded resistors. In this way, the signal not input in the filter will be dissipated in the filter and will not be reflected. When F0=3.8 GHz, 26% of the 20 dB bandwidth covers 3.15 GHz-4.2 GHz, the rejection depth of the stopband is less than-40 dB, and the in-band absorption is less than-10 dB. © 2020 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Infrared and visible image fusion is to provide a more comprehensive image for downstream tasks by highlighting the main tar get and maintaining rich texture information. Image fusion methods based on deep learning suffer from insufficient multimodal information extraction and texture loss. In this paper, we propose a texture preserving progressive fusion network to extract comple mentary information from multimodal images (PTPFusion) to solve these issues. To reduce image texture loss, we design multiple consecutive texture-preserving blocks (TPB) to enhance fused texture. The TPB can enhance the features by using a parallel ar chitecture consisting with a residual block and a derivative operators. In addition, a novel cross-channel attention (CCA) fusion module is developed to obtain complementary information by modeling global feature interactions via cross-queries mechanism, followed by information fusion to highlight the feature of salient target. To avoid information loss, the extracted features at different stages are merged as the output of TPB. Finally, the fused image will be generated by the decoder. Extensive experiments on three datasets show that our proposed fusion algorithm is better than existing state-of-the-art methods. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Garbage classification is an essential work in daily life. With the development of artificial intelligence (AI), we have begun to use object detection to achieve garbage classification. However, the stacking and occlusion of garbage often make the detection performance unsatisfactory. In this paper, YOLOv5 algorithm is used for garbage detection and classification. YOLOv5 has three detection heads, which can detect objects at multiple scales. At the same time, Mosaic and Coarse Dropout image augmentation techniques are used to process our private data set of garbage, which improves the diversity of images. In this way, the target classification accuracy of the detection model can reach 75.7%, which is significantly improved compared with 69.9% without data augmentation. This paper provides a new technical support for the scene classification of stacked garbage based on deep learning. © 2022 IEEE.

In practical applications, noise is more appropriately modelled as an a-stable random process than as a Gaussian process. To cope with a-stable noise, a fractional-order stochastic gradient descent (SGD) method is invented to adaptive filtering (AF) algorithms. When both input signal and noise follow α-stable random processes, the AF algorithms based on mean square error (MSE) criteria can be affected. Nevertheless, the fractional-order AF (FoAF) algorithm can effectively address this issue. For the purpose of better stability performance of the FoAF algorithm, different cost functions (CFs) are introduced into fractional-order SGD method. Based on the fractional-order derivative of a logarithmic CF (LCF), a fractional-order logarithmic adaptive filtering (FoLAF) algorithm is formed in this condition. Trials show that the FoLAF algorithm achieves faster convergence, excellent steady-state performance and superior tracking performance.

Diffusion models are powerful generative models, and this capability can also be applied to discrimination. The inner activations of a pre-trained diffusion model can serve as features for discriminative tasks, namely, diffusion feature. We discover that diffusion feature has been hindered by a hidden yet universal phenomenon that we call content shift. To be specific, there are content differences between features and the input image, such as the exact shape of a certain object. We locate the cause of content shift as one inherent characteristic of diffusion models, which suggests the broad existence of this phenomenon in diffusion feature. Further empirical study also indicates that its negative impact is not negligible even when content shift is not visually perceivable. Hence, we propose to suppress content shift to enhance the overall quality of diffusion features. Specifically, content shift is related to the information drift during the process of recovering an image from the noisy input, pointing out the possibility of turning off-the-shelf generation techniques into tools for content shift suppression. We further propose a practical guideline named GATE to efficiently evaluate the potential benefit of a technique and provide an implementation of our methodology. Despite the simplicity, the proposed approach has achieved superior results on various tasks and datasets, validating its potential as a generic booster for diffusion features. Active disturbance-rejection methods are effective in estimating and rejecting disturbances in both transient and steady-state *** paper presents a deep observation on and a comparison between two of those methods:the generalized extended-state observer(GESO)and the equivalent input disturbance(EID)from assumptions,system configurations,stability conditions,system design,disturbance-rejection performance,and extensibility.A time-domain index is introduced to assess the disturbance-rejection performance.A detailed observation of disturbance-suppression mechanisms reveals the superiority of the EID approach over the GESO method.A comparison between these two methods shows that assumptions on disturbances are more practical and the adjustment of disturbance-rejection performance is easier for the EID approach than for the GESO method.

Combating Online Misinformation Videos: Characterization, Detection, and Future Directions

With information consumption via online video streaming becoming increasingly popular, misinformation video poses a new threat to the health of the online information ecosystem. Though previous studies have made much progress in detecting misinformation in text and image formats, video-based misinformation brings new and unique challenges to automatic detection systems: 1) high information heterogeneity brought by various modalities, 2) blurred distinction between misleading video manipulation and nonmalicious artistic video editing, and 3) new patterns of misinformation propagation due to the dominant role of recommendation systems on online video platforms. To facilitate research on this challenging task, we conduct this survey to present advances in misinformation video detection. We first analyze and characterize the misinformation video from three levels including signals, semantics, and intents. Based on the characterization, we systematically review existing works for detection from features of various modalities to techniques for clue integration. We also introduce existing resources including representative datasets and useful tools. Besides summarizing existing studies, we discuss related areas and outline open issues and future directions to encourage and guide more research on misinformation video detection. The task of retrieving and analyzing mass spectra is indispensable for the identification of compounds in mass spectrometry (MS). This methodology is of critical importance as it enables researchers to correlate observed spectra with established databases, thereby precisely determining the chemical composition of samples. The primary challenges to its efficacy lie in optimizing the balance between retrieval accuracy and processing speed. Empirical studies have demonstrated that by converting mass spectra into embeddings via deep learning, it is possible to achieve both high accuracy and speed in retrieval. Nevertheless, there are complex challenges associated with employing deep learning for spectral embedding, particularly within the domain of electron ionization mass spectrometry (EI-MS). In this paper, we introduce a novel representation learning technique termed EI-MS2VEC for EI-MS retrieval. Our spectrum retrieval methodology surpasses current state-of-the-art techniques such as FastEI. For the in-silico library, we attain hit rate@1 and hit rate@10 of 43.6% and 84.5%, respectively, compared to FastEI’s 36.7% and 80.4%. Moreover, our retrieval approach operates with an order of magnitude greater speed than FastEI. The source code is available on Github (https://***/xfcui/EI-MS2VEC).

Mass spectrometry serves as a pivotal tool for the analysis of small molecules through an examination of their mass-to-charge ratios. Recent advancements in deep learning have markedly enhanced the analysis of mass spectrometric data, facilitating the prediction of novel small molecule structures without the necessity of extensive databases. Nonetheless, the paucity of annotated datasets impedes the efficacious training of molecular generation models predicated on MS 2 spectra. To mitigate this limitation, we introduce ctMSNovelist, an avant-garde method that amalgamates pre-training, fine-tuning, and co-training techniques to construct a more precise model for the generation of molecular structures from tandem mass spectrometry data. This novel approach augments both the training regimen and the predictive accuracy of the MSNovelist model, thereby surmounting the obstacle of limited data. The methodology commences with the pretraining of a Variational Autoencoder (VAE) to generate molecular fingerprints derived from SMILES strings. Subsequently, it undergoes fine-tuning to emulate noisy fingerprints originating from mass spectrometry (MS) data. Concurrently, MSNovelist is co-trained utilizing these simulated fingerprints, inclusive of the highly noisy variants produced in the early stages of VAE training. The incorporation of a substantial volume of noisy data serves to enhance model accuracy and avert overfitting. We evaluated ctMSNovelist using the GNPS dataset and attained a SMILES prediction accuracy of 48.8%, representing a 4.1% enhancement over MSNovelist. It is pertinent to note that the sole distinction between ctMSNovelist and MSNovelist in this experiment was the training process. Conditional Privacy-Preserving Transaction for the Unspent Transaction Output-Based Multi-Chain Blockchain System

The anonymity of blockchain may be exploited by criminals for illegal fund transfers, thus a conditional privacy-preserving scheme is important for blockchain regulation. Currently, sharding technology under a multi-chain architecture is used to improve blockchain scalability. However, current conditional privacy-preserving schemes cannot work on this architecture. To protect the privacy of the transaction, we present a conditional privacy-preserving transaction scheme (MC-CPPT) for multi-chain blockchain system. In this system, we proposed a zero-knowledge proof based anonymous transaction, in terms of the identities of transaction participants and amounts, which also enables the unlinkability of transactions and indistinguishability between cross-chain and intra-chain transactions in multi-chain blockchain system. In addition, a multi-node regulatory agency is introduced to control the transaction amount and frequency in the system without a single point of failure. Moreover, an ECC-based encryption scheme is proposed to achieve the traceability of suspicious transactions. A security model is defined and the security of MC-CPPT is demonstrated to meet the expected security goals. Evaluating the prototype revealed acceptable performance and additional security features. © 1968-2012 IEEE.
