Transfer learning aims to leverage the knowledge of the source domain to help the learning of unlabeled target domain models. However, all conventional transfer learning methods assume that samples from source and target domains are always freely accessible. However, this assumption is rarely plausible in real-world due to data privacy. To combat this challenge, we introduce Structure-constrain Source Free Domain Adaptation with regularized Knowledge Distillation of source model (SSFDA-KD). Our method is based on the observations that a deterministic classification result can be obtained when the target data distribution aligns with the source data distribution, and a well-trained model not only yields a deterministic classification for a sample but also has clear category boundaries, which implies samples that are close together belong to the same category. From those, we first generate the source model with labeled source data, which is regarded as a well-trained model. Then, we identify target prototypes with lower self-entropy and assign the pseudo-labels to other samples according to the neighborhood structure. Finally, we refine the target model by minimizing prediction loss, constraining internal structure via triplet loss, and reducing knowledge distillation loss. Experiments of fault diagnosis based on WWTPs are conducted to validate its effectiveness.

Existing diffusion-based video editing models have made gorgeous advances for editing attributes of a source video over time but struggle to manipulate the motion information while preserving the original protagonist's appearance and background. To address this, we propose MotionEditor, the first diffusion model for video motion editing. MotionEditor incorporates a novel content-aware motion adapter into ControlNet to capture temporal motion correspondence. While ControlNet enables direct generation based on skeleton poses, it encounters challenges when modifying the source motion in the inverted noise due to contradictory signals between the noise (source) and the condition (reference). Our adapter complements Control-Net by involving source content to transfer adapted control signals seamlessly. Further, we build up a two-branch ar-chitecture (a reconstruction branch and an editing branch) with a high-fidelity attention injection mechanism facilitating branch interaction. This mechanism enables the editing branch to query the key and value from the reconstruction branch in a decoupled manner, making the editing branch retain the original background and protagonist appearance. We also propose a skeleton alignment algorithm to address the discrepancies in pose size and position. Experiments demonstrate the promising motion editing ability of MotionEditor, both qualitatively and quantitatively. To the best of our knowledge, MotionEditor is the first to use diffusion models specifically for video motion editing, considering the origin dynamic background and camera movement.

Understanding News Creation Intents: Frame, Dataset, and Method

As the disruptive changes in the media economy and the proliferation of alternative news media outlets, news intent has progressively deviated from ethical standards that serve the public interest. News intent refers to the purpose or intention behind the creation of a news article. While the significance of research on news intent has been widely acknowledged, the absence of a systematic news intent understanding framework hinders further exploration of news intent and its downstream applications. To bridge this gap, we propose News INTent (NINT) frame, the first component-aware formalism for understanding the news creation intent based on research in philosophy, psychology, and cognitive science. Within this frame, we define the news intent identification task and provide a benchmark dataset with fine-grained labels along with an efficient benchmark method. Experiments demonstrate that NINT is beneficial in both the intent identification task and downstream tasks that demand a profound understanding of news. Automatic Survey Generation Based Onposition Closeness of key Words

Survey enables researchers to know a research area quickly. Automatic survey generation is a challenge to text summarization research because a survey consists of many sections, each of which is composed by the sentences selected from the papers most relevant to its titles. The key is to rank papers, determine top-k papers and select sentences from the top-k papers according to section title. This paper proposes a measure called key word position closeness to rank papers by measuring how closely two neighboring key words of a section title are distributed within a paper. The basic rationale is that the positions of the neighboring key words of a section title should be closer in more relevant papers to be surveyed. To select the top-k papers for each section, an unsupervised method is proposed to predict the top-k value based on the shape of the curve of the sorted ranking scores. Based on the duality property of the closeness, sentence ranking scores of a selected paper with respect to the key words of section title can be directly obtained when the paper ranking score is computed using the closeness, both the importance and coherence of selected sentences can be reflected without extra sentence ranking calculation. Experiments and manual evaluation show that the proposed methods achieve significant improvements compared with term frequency-based approaches to generating scientific survey. © 2022, The Authors. With the capability to sculpt complex radiative wavefronts and couple energy from the reference wave to the desired radiation pattern, metasurface antennas have gained tremendous progress in recent years. The flexibility in antenna design gives rise to a bunch of metasurface antennas, while there is still a comprise between the needed operation band and radiation field pattern coherence. Furthermore, the relatively low sampling ratio and overlap between frequency measurement modes would inevitably pose a great challenge for matched filter and other advanced sparsity-driven post-processing imaging algorithms. In this paper, we design a deep neural network to achieve fast scene image reconstruction. The trained network could fastly reconstruct the imaged object in both low scene compressed ratio and high coherence of the measurement modes. The imaging experiments with measured radiation field data are conducted to verify the effectiveness of our method.

An over-hundred-octave miniaturized super- wideband antenna based on passive elements mixed loading is proposed and analyzed in this paper. The proposed antenna is composed of inversed E-radiation patch, feeding line, several passive mixed loaded elements. The entire size of the proposed antenna is 0.012λ×0.01λ×0.00005λ (where λ is the lowest frequency of realized bandwidth). Derived from the analysis of impedance and equivalent circuit, by properly adjusting the inversed E-radiation patch and loading 5 passive elements into the construction of the antenna in position, the bandwidth is greatly improved. The simulated and measured results show that a -10dB fractional bandwidth of 196.2% is realized. Moreover, good omni-directional radiation patterns within the operating frequency band have been achieved from 10MHz to 1051MHz for HF, VHF and UHF applications. © 2002-2011 IEEE.

A simple broadband slotted circularly-polarized (CP) antenna (SBS-CP) is presented, which mainly consists of a ground structure with a modified slot and an asymmetric feeding structure. The two structures can give different CP characteristics in low and high frequencies. By etching rectangular slots in the ground structure, the coupling effect between feeding and ground structure will be improved and the bandwidth will be broadened. By modeling and optimizing the antenna, the proposed antenna impedance bandwidth (IBW) and axial ratio bandwidth (ARBW) are 113% (2.08~7.46 GHz) and 97% (2.5~7.24 GHz), respectively.

Tunnel Oxide Passivation Contacts (TOPCon) solar cells have achieved high efficiency and become mainstream product in the global photovoltaic (PV) market. However, their long-term reliability, especially under high-temperature and high-humidity conditions, lacks sufficient field validation, and there is a lack of lifetime prediction models for TOPCon modules. To address this, we developed a robust accelerated aging model by integrating an improved Peck model with a sigmoidal degradation function, incorporating internal humidity and temperature as critical factors. The model employs a particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm to calibrate activation energy and humidity sensitivity parameters, enabling precise degradation trajectory simulation. Validated through a "fitting + testing" framework, the model achieves high accuracy (RMSE = 0.7%) in predicting power degradation under Damp Heat (DH), Highly Accelerated Stress Test (HAST), and modified Pressure Cooker Test (mPCT) conditions. Accelerated aging tests reveal that DH-induced degradation primarily reduces fill factor (FF) due to finger corrosion, with minimal impact on Voc and Isc. Experimental validation using a non-commercial corrosion-sensitive BOM combination shows that polyolefin elastomer (POE)-encapsulated modules exhibit superior corrosion resistance, projecting a service lifetime 23 years longer than EVA/EVA encapsulation in high-humidity regions like Hainan. This work bridges the gap in TOPCon module lifetime prediction under extreme environments, offering actionable insights for optimizing encapsulation materials and enhancing reliability. The model provides a scalable framework for evaluating module performance under site-specific climatic conditions, accelerating the development of durable PV technologies. © 2025, The Authors. This paper explores test-agnostic long-tail recognition, a challenging long-tail task where the test label distributions are unknown and arbitrarily imbalanced. We argue that the variation in these distributions can be broken down hierarchically into global and local levels. The global ones reflect a broad range of diversity, while the local ones typically arise from milder changes, often focused on a particular neighbor. Traditional methods predominantly use a Mixture-of-Expert (MoE) approach, targeting a few fixed test label distributions that exhibit substantial global variations. However, the local variations are left unconsidered. To address this issue, we propose a new MoE strategy, DirMixE, which assigns experts to different Dirichlet meta-distributions of the label distribution, each targeting a specific aspect of local variations. Additionally, the diversity among these Dirichlet meta-distributions inherently captures global variations. This dual-level approach also leads to a more stable objective function, allowing us to sample different test distributions better to quantify the mean and variance of performance outcomes. Theoretically, we show that our proposed objective benefits from enhanced generalization by virtue of the variance-based regularization. Comprehensive experiments across multiple benchmarks confirm the effectiveness of DirMixE. The code is available at https://***/scongl/DirMixE. Copyright 2024 by the author(s)

This brief proposes a recursive constrained sine second-order error promoting adaptive (RCSSOEPA) algorithm. Compared with classical recursive method, the RCSSOEPA algorithm can achieve better steady state performance in impulsive noise. In general, the sine second-order error (SSOE) is constructed to devise a new recursive constrained adaptive-filtering within the least-squares framework for solving linear constrained optimization problems. The mean-square (MS) stability of the RCSSOEPA and its theoretical instantaneous MS deviation under Gaussian and non Gaussian noise are analyzed, numerically investigated and discussed in detail. Simulated results are reported to give a comfirmation of the theoretical analysis, and show that the RCSSOEPA outperforms recent developed constrained adaptive filtering algorithms in the estimation misalignment and when used for system identification under impulsive-noise. © 2023, CC BY.
