A low coupling sparse array (LCSA) is presented, analyzed and discussed on the basis of the recent proposed uniform linear array (ULA) fitting scheme with close-expressions, and its performance with different uniform subarrays in the basic layer is investigated via parameter estimation like direction-of-arrival(DOA). The results gives a superior performance for the presented LCSA.

This paper designs a CPW-fed single-fed single- layer dual-frequency antenna for 5G applications. The overall size of the antenna is only 23×30.5×0.254mm 3 . The antenna consists of an improved folded rectangular slot, a Y-shaped monopole radiator fed by a coplanar waveguide (CPW) with cross-notched slots, and a curved sub-ring slot for isolating frequency bands. The dual frequency characteristics are realized by deformed folded rectangular grooves and Y-shaped monopoles with split ring grooves and cross grooves. By adjusting the position and size of these structures separately, two working frequency bands can be realized. Reduce the size of the antenna by folding the rectangular ground slot to increase the surface current (6.92 λ 0 × 9.17 λ 0 × 0.08 λ 0 ). The simulation results show that the working bandwidth of the antenna is 2.82- 3.84Ghz (31.58%) and 4.48-5.53Ghz (25.68%) respectively. It not only covers 5G bands 3.4-3.8Ghz and 4.8-5.0Ghz, but also covers up to part of the working frequency band of WLAN and WiMAX. The antenna has a good omnidirectional radiation pattern. The antenna is small in size, easy to integrate, and is well-suited to 5G wireless communication equipment.

The size of the Hamming distance spectrum of a code has received great attention in recent research. The main objective of this paper is to extend these significant theories to the b-symbol distance spectrum. We examine this question for various types of codes, including unrestricted codes, additive codes, linear codes, and cyclic codes, successively. For the first three cases, we determine the maximum size of the b-symbol distance spectra of these codes smoothly. For the case of cyclic codes, we introduce three approaches to characterize the upper bound for the cardinality of the b-symbol weight spectrum of cyclic codes, namely the period distribution approach, the primitive idempotent approach, and the b-symbol weight formula approach. As two by-products of this paper, the maximum number of symplectic weights of linear codes is determined, and a basic inequality among the parameters [n, k, dH(C)]q of cyclic codes is provided. © 2024, CC0.

This paper studies the broadband circularly polarized antenna used in micro base stations. The antenna consists of a pair of rectangular loops. The ring patch is used to form circular polarization, and a pair of open resonant ring parasitic elements are loaded between the two rectangular rings to increase the bandwidth. By introducing balun feed to increase bandwidth, good impedance matching can be obtained. Add a metal reflector at the bottom of the antenna to form directional radiation. The antenna was printed on the Rogers RO4003 substrate, and the results showed that the -10dB return loss bandwidth was 43.4% (1.86-2.89GHz), and the -3dB axial ratio bandwidth was 41% (1.9-3GHz). The gain of the antenna in the frequency band is greater than 9dBi.

This paper presents an efficient method for analyzing the metasurface of varying element sizes or rotate angles. In this method, the characteristic modes (CMs) for metasurface element can be obtained by solving a generalized eigenvalue problem (GEP) based on the mixed potential integral equation (MPIE). Then, by choosing the first several CMs of the isolated reference element with larger mode significance (MS) to construct the entire domain basis functions, the induced current of the metasurface structure can be expanded using the set of entire domain basis functions. By truncating the order of the entire domain basis functions, this method can significantly reduce the number of unknowns and greatly reduce the computational time and memory requirement.

The vast amount of data is key challenge to mine a new scholar that is plausible to be star in the upcoming period. The enormous amount of unstructured data raise every year is infeasible for traditional learning;consequently, we need a high quality of preprocessing technique to expand the performance of traditional learning. We have persuaded a novel approach, Authors classification algorithm using Transfer Learning (ACTL) to learn new task on target area to mine the external knowledge from the source domain. Comprehensive experimental outcomes on real-world networks showed that ACTL, Node-based Influence Predicting Stars, Corresponding Authors Mutual Influence based on Predicting Stars, and Specific Topic Domain-based Predicting Stars enhanced the node classification accuracy as well as predicting rising stars to compared with contemporary baseline methods. © 2020 John Wiley & Sons Ltd

In this study, we explore using Stable Diffusion (SD) for unsupervised medical image-to-image translation. SD has shown remarkable performances in generating high-quality images and can be easily applied to generate custom contents by injecting standard plug-ins like LoRA, offering a promising solution to tackle the complexity caused by variations in imaging modalities, acquisition parameters, and body parts in medical imaging. However, We empirically find that existing pipelines designed for natural images fail to translate directly to medical images due to weak structural control and inappropriate color preservation. To address these issues, we propose a novel two-branch image translation pipeline. This pipeline decouples the generation of target image along the time axis and employs ControlNet to ensure precise structural preservation. Additionally, we customize SD to generate images of extreme brightness, a common feature in medical imaging. Our results on the BraTS dataset demonstrate that SD with task-specific plug-ins can generate high-quality medical images comparable to those generated by task-specific models. Since the development of these standard plug-ins can be easily done by clinicians without much knowledge of the underlying algorithm, such a mode holds the potential to significantly extend the use of medical image computing algorithms in the clinical environment.

ResFormer: Scaling ViTs with Multi-Resolution Training

Vision Transformers (ViTs) have achieved overwhelming success, yet they suffer from vulnerable resolution scalability, i.e., the performance drops drastically when presented with input resolutions that are unseen during training. We introduce, ResFormer, a framework that is built upon the seminal idea of multi-resolution training for improved performance on a wide spectrum of, mostly unseen, testing resolutions. In particular, ResFormer operates on replicated images of different resolutions and enforces a scale consistency loss to engage interactive information across different scales. More importantly, to alternate among varying resolutions effectively, especially novel ones in testing, we propose a global-local positional embedding strategy that changes smoothly conditioned on input sizes. We conduct extensive experiments for image classification on ImageNet. The results provide strong quantitative evidence that ResFormer has promising scaling abilities towards a wide range of resolutions. For instance, ResFormer-B-MR achieves a Top-1 accuracy of 75.86% and 81.72% when evaluated on relatively low and high resolutions respectively (i.e., 96 and 640), which are 48% and 7.49% better than DeiT-B. We also demonstrate, moreover, ResFormer is flexible and can be easily extended to semantic segmentation, object detection and video action recognition. This paper proposes a low-coupling planar compact four-element ultra-wideband antenna based on the EBG structure for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems. The MIMO antenna is composed of four miniaturized monopole antenna elements based on the half-cut method and a periodic electromagnetic band gap (EBG) structure. The traditional mushroom-shaped EBG structure is cut into squares and a pair of harpoon-shaped microstrip lines are introduced. Structure to reduce its resonant frequency and increase the band gap width. By loading the improved EBG structure in the middle of the MIMO antenna, the electromagnetic coupling between the components is greatly reduced. In addition, the stop band characteristics in the WLAN band (5.725–5.825GHz) are realized by adding a U-shaped resonant stub to the right side of the feeder of the monopole antenna. The experimental results show that it has a good reflection coefficient in the passband bandwidth range of 2.90–11.7GHz, covering the 3.1–10.6GHz frequency band specified by UWB, the isolation between the components is greater than 15dB, and good envelope correlation. The coefficient ECC is <0.02, which proves that the antenna is a potential candidate for ultra-wideband applications.
