Mobile edge computing (MEC) reduces latency and power consumption of mobile devices by deploying servers on the network edge. Due to the limited computing resources of the MEC server, excessive offloading of the users in local cells will bring unexpected queuing delay and high energy consumption. To deal with these problems, this paper proposes a Multi-user Queue Offloading multi-dimensional game algorithm (MQO). By the algorithm, users could choose the most suitable strategy, in which the strategy space is two-dimensional to satisfy different needs of different users to a certain extent, including the offload strategy and power control of users. Simulation results show that MQO can improve the performance of both overhead and offloading number with the increase of users.

On the structure of 1-generator quasi-polycyclic codes over finite chain rings

Quasi-polycyclic (QP for short) codes over a finite chain ring R are a generalization of quasi-cyclic codes, and these codes can be viewed as an R[x]-submodule of Rm, where Rm := R[x]/hfi, and f is a monic polynomial of degree m over R. If f factors uniquely into monic and coprime basic irreducibles, then their algebraic structure allow us to characterize the generator polynomials and the minimal generating sets of 1-generator QP codes as R-modules. In addition, we also determine the parity check polynomials for these codes by using the strong Gröbner bases. In particular, via Magma system, some quaternary codes with new parameters are derived from these 1-generator QP codes. © 2021, CC0.

The millimeter-Wave (mm-Wave) wideband integrated log-periodic antenna array based on multilayer PCB is proposed in this paper. The antenna array is simulated and designed to operate at the mm-Wave band of 32-47 GHz with the impedance bandwidth of 37.5%. Differential feeding is adopted to reduce the cross polarization, and EBG structure is used to improve the back lobe. The simulated maximum gain of the array is 11 dBi and the cross-polarization ratio is less than -40 dB. Due to its wide bandwidth, high gain and low cross polarization, the proposed array will be a suitable scheme for many mm-Wave applications.

The closed-form formula derivation of the power domain cooperative Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) system is of great significance for further improving the performance of the system. However, the system performance formulas of the channel capacity and the paired bit error rate Pairwise Error Probability (PEP) are too complicated, which have increased the difficulty in system performance optimization. Therefore, based on the Amplify Forward (AF) relay cooperative NOMA model, the signal Interference Noise Ratio (SINR) formulas of the two weak-user nodes are constructed. Through the assumption of that, the Symbol Error Rate (SER) of each user is fair, the simplification condition of Moment Generating Function (MGF) with the harmonic mean form is satisfied. Combined with the SER calculation formula of MGF, the system SER asymptotically tight approximation formula with simple structure is derived at high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). The Monte Carlo simulation results show that, the formula can accurately describe the SER performance of the power domain cooperative NOMA system with the non-ideal Successive Interference Cancellation (SIC) system when SNR is high. Under the condition of certain total power, the optimal power distribution factor is solved in order to minimize the total system SER. © 2019 IEEE.

As the advance in nanotechnology, the length of electronic devices down to nano-scale structure. It is important to consider multi-scale phenomena ruled by the Maxwell's equation in the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) simulation. This paper provides an alternate approach for solving the vector and scalar potentials (A and Φ) formulation of Maxwell's equations instead of the fields (E and H) which might suffer from low frequency breakdown problem. This new approach is more suitable for multi-scale problem since it is stable in the long wavelength regime which established the proposed method as a better algorithm in the electromagnetic simulation. © 2019 IEEE.

In this paper, a discontinuous Galerkin time domain (DGTD) method is proposed to solve electromagnetic radiation and scattering problems. In this method, for the electromagnetic radiation problem, the dipole source excitation is introduced by the Total field / Scattering field (TF/SF) boundary condition. On the basis of TF/SF boundary condition, an equivalent principle (EP) based boundary condition is also introduced. For the electromagnetic scattering problem, the plane wave excitation is introduced by pure scattered field method. For all the cases, uniaxial perfectly matched layer (UPML) is used as the truncated boundary condition to enhance the reflection wave absorption. At the same time, the method uses nodal local basis function (for spatial discretization) and Verlet method (for time integration) to solve Maxwell equation. Numerical results show the effectiveness and accuracy of the algorithm. © 2019 IEEE.

In the uplink grant-free non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) scenario, since the active user at the sender has a structured sparsity transmission characteristic, the compressive sensing recovery algorithm is initially applied to the joint detection of the active user and the transmitted data. However, the existing compressive sensing recovery algorithms with unknown sparsity often require noise power or signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) as the priori conditions, which greatly reduces the algorithm adaptability in multi-user detection. Therefore, an algorithm based on cross validation aided structured sparsity adaptive orthogonal matching pursuit (CVA-SSAOMP) is proposed to realize multi-user detection in dynamic change communication scenario of channel state information (CSI). The proposed algorithm transforms the structured sparsity model into a block sparse model, and without the priori conditions above, the cross validation method in the field of statistics and machine learning is used to adaptively estimate the sparsity of active user through the residual update of cross validation. The simulation results show that, compared with the traditional orthogonal matching pursuit (OMP) algorithm, subspace pursuit (SP) algorithm and cross validation aided block sparsity adaptive subspace pursuit (CVA-BSASP) algorithm, the proposed algorithm can effectively improve the accurate estimation of the sparsity of active user and the performance of system bit error ratio (BER), and has the advantage of low-complexity. © 2019 IEEE.

Knowledge tracing has been widely used in online learning systems to guide the students' future learning. However, most existing KT models primarily focus on extracting abundant information from the question sets and explore the relationships between them, but ignore the personalized student behavioral information in the learning process. This will limit the model's ability to accurately capture the personalized knowledge states of students and reasonably predict their performances. To alleviate this limitation, we explicitly models the personalized learning process by incorporating the emotions, a representative personalized behavior in the learning process, into KT framework. Specifically, we present a novel Dual-State Personalized Knowledge Tracing with Emotional Incorporation model to achieve this goal: Firstly, we incorporate emotional information into the modeling process of knowledge state, resulting in the Knowledge State Boosting Module. Secondly, we design an Emotional State Tracing Module to monitor students' personalized emotional states, and propose an emotion prediction method based on personalized emotional states. Finally, we apply the predicted emotions to enhance students' response prediction. Furthermore, to extend the generalization capability of our model across different datasets, we design a transferred version of DEKT, named Transfer Learningbased Self-loop model (T-DEKT). Sparse Mobile Crowdsensing (Sparse MCS) selects a small part of sub-areas for data collection and infers the data of other sub-areas from the collected data. Compared with Mobile Crowdsensing (MCS) that does not use data inference methods, Sparse MCS saves sensing costs while ensuring the quality of global data. However, the existing research works on Sparse MCS only focus on selecting a small part of sub-areas with higher value. It does not consider whether the recruited participants can collect the data of the required sub-areas, and also ignores the value of other data collected by the participants. In order to solve the limitations of traditional methods in sub-areas selection, this paper starts from the perspective of participants and concentrates on the contribution of the data collected by each participant to the entire collection task. All the data contributions collected by each participant will become the basis for decision-making for the participant's choice. And correspondingly, a new idea to deal with the problem of participant selection under Sparse MCS is proposed. In view of the fact that each person's daily movement trajectory is basically stable, and the data collected by different people on their respective trajectories have different values, this paper uses this regularity and difference to study how to directly recruit participants who can collect high-value data. Furthermore, the participant selection problem considered in this paper is not limited to the data collection in the next cycle, but directly recruits some participants to continue the data collection task in the next multiple cycles. The participant selection problem that spans multiple cycles can be modeled as a dynamic decision-making problem. M2TR: Multi-modal Multi-scale Transformers for Deepfake Detection

The widespread dissemination of Deepfakes demands effective approaches that can detect perceptually convincing forged images. In this paper, we aim to capture the subtle manipulation artifacts at different scales using transformer models. In particular, we introduce a Multi-modal Multi-scale TRansformer (M2TR), which operates on patches of different sizes to detect local inconsistencies in images at different spatial levels. M2TR further learns to detect forgery artifacts in the frequency domain to complement RGB information through a carefully designed cross modality fusion block. In addition, to stimulate Deepfake detection research, we introduce a high-quality Deepfake dataset, SR-DF, which consists of 4,000 DeepFake videos generated by state-of-the-art face swapping and facial reenactment methods. We conduct extensive experiments to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, which outperforms state-of-the-art Deepfake detection methods by clear margins. Copyright © 2021, The Authors.
