Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and other medical data contain important and sensitive privacy information of patients, which provide important basis and reference for their doctors to diagnose and treat them. With the continuous development of data sharing, big data applications and other technologies, new requirements are proposed for the storage of medical privacy data. At present, medical data have the characteristics of obstructed sharing and exchange, difficult data tracing and data sensitivity, which increases the cost and difficulty of each diagnosis. Moreover, patients lack the right to know and control their own medical data, which is easy to cause data fraud or data leakage. As a decentralized, tamper proof and traceable distributed ledger system, blockchain brings new solutions to these problems. This paper designs a medical data fusion and distributed privacy management system based on the Hyperledger Fabric blockchain development platform and InterPlanetary File System. It can not only solve the problem of mutual distrust in the traditional system, but also realize the safe data storage and the safe sharing of medical record data between medical organizations which is a beneficial attempt to overcome the disadvantages of traditional hospital data separation. At the same time, according to the requirements of different levels and types of medical users or groups for data security and personal privacy protection, the access control technology of users is studied to ensure personal privacy data. © 2021 ACM.

With the rapid progress of generation technology, it has become necessary to attribute the origin of fake images. Existing works on fake image attribution perform multi-class classification on several Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) models and obtain high accuracies. While encouraging, these works are restricted to model-level attribution, only capable of handling images generated by seen models with a specific seed, loss and dataset, which is limited in real-world scenarios when fake images may be generated by privately trained models. This motivates us to ask whether it is possible to attribute fake images to the source models’ architectures even if they are finetuned or retrained under different configurations. In this work, we present the first study on Deepfake Network Architecture Attribution to attribute fake images on architecture-level. Based on an observation that GAN architecture is likely to leave globally consistent fingerprints while traces left by model weights vary in different regions, we provide a simple yet effective solution named DNA-Det for this problem. Extensive experiments on multiple cross-test setups and a large-scale dataset demonstrate the effectiveness of DNA-Det. Condition-based video generation aims to create video content based on given information that describes specific subjects. However, most existing works can only utilize a single condition to guide the denoising process, thereby limiting their applicability to specific scenarios. Although some works attempt to accommodate multiple conditions within one framework, they often require multiple encoders, leading to inefficiencies in integrating multi-condition features. In this work, we present a framework that, with the support of the proposed Unified Adapter (UniAdapter), enables simultaneous multi-condition control of video generation within a single model. To effectively merge these conditions, we propose a novel Probabilistic Multi-condition Concatenator (PMC) module, which employs a unified encoder to accommodate multiple conditions and concatenate condition features at the pixel level to achieve fine-grained control. Following the PMC module, we employ 2D down-sampling blocks to refine features for injection into the Video Diffusion Model (VDM). Moreover, our UniAdapter is designed to be model-agnostic and compatible with any U-Net-based VDM, offering a versatile solution for improving video generation quality. Experimental results on public benchmarks UCF-101 and MSR-VTT show that our method achieves superior results in both quantitative and qualitative evaluations. © 2025 IEEE.

Uncovering the Impact of Chain-of-Thought Reasoning for Direct Preference Optimization: Lessons from Text-to-SQL

Direct Preference Optimization (DPO) has proven effective in complex reasoning tasks like math word problems and code generation. However, when applied to Text-to-SQL datasets, it often fails to improve performance and can even degrade it. Our investigation reveals the root cause: unlike math and code tasks, which naturally integrate Chain-of-Thought (CoT) reasoning with DPO, Text-to-SQL datasets typically include only final answers (gold SQL queries) without detailed CoT solutions. By augmenting Text-to-SQL datasets with synthetic CoT solutions, we achieve, for the first time, consistent and significant performance improvements using DPO. Our analysis shows that CoT reasoning is crucial for unlocking DPO’s potential, as it mitigates reward hacking, strengthens discriminative capabilities, and improves scalability. These findings offer valuable insights for building more robust Text-to-SQL models. To support further research, we publicly release the code and CoT-enhanced datasets © 2025, CC BY.

Metrics have emerged as an important tool for quantitatively evaluating researchers from a variety of perspectives,including research impact,research quality,interdisciplinarity,and *** in the field of library and information science,many previous studies have highlighted the characteristics of researchers in this ***,only a minority of the studies address the aspect of diversity in research *** purpose of this study is to(1)evaluate the topic diversity of researchers in library and information science and(2)examine the relationships between the researcher topic diversity and research *** propose an indicator to quantify author topic diversity,which we refer to as author topic diversity(ATD).Latent Dirichlet Allocation(LDA)is used to detect topics in the field,while cosine similarity is used to calculate the diversity of research topics in a given researcher’s *** results show that topic diversity in the field of library and information science varies greatly from author to *** addition,weak positive correlations are found between the ATD and citation indicators,suggesting that engaging in diversified topics may lead to higher research impact.

AME4163: Principles of engineering Design is a design, build and test course offered at the University of Oklahoma, Norman, USA. Throughout the semester students are expected to reflect on authentic and immersive experiences and write Take-aways and Learning Statements. At the end of the semester each student submits a summative Semester Learning Essay. Between 2019-2021 we collected about 10,000 Take-aways and Learning Statements from the Semester Learning Essays of nearly 400 students. In this paper, we attempt to help instructors gain insight of what students have learned through these materials and thence improve the delivery of the course in the future. We analyze their Take-aways from summative Semester Learning Essays by using dictionary-based sentiment analysis to assess students' subjective feelings toward what they have learned. The results prove that we gain insight into their learning thereby providing instructors with evidence-based guidance on modifying the course from different perspectives. The method proposed is generalizable to courses that involve authentic immersive experiences. © 2023 IEEE.

Vulnerabilities are disclosed with corresponding patches so that users can remediate them in time. However, there are instances where patches are not released with the disclosed vulnerabilities, causing hidden dangers, especially if dependent software remains uninformed about the affected code repository. Hence, it is crucial to automatically locate security patches for disclosed vulnerabilities among a multitude of commits. Despite the promising performance of existing learning-based localization approaches, they still suffer from the following limitations: (1) They cannot perform well in data scarcity scenarios. Most neural models require extensive datasets to capture the semantic correlations between the vulnerability description and code commits, while the number of disclosed vulnerabilities with patches is limited. (2) They struggle to capture the deep semantic correlations between the vulnerability description and code commits due to inherent differences in semantics and characters between code changes and commit messages. It is difficult to use one model to capture the semantic correlations between vulnerability descriptions and code commits. To mitigate these two limitations, in this paper, we propose a novel security patch localization approach named Prom VPat, which utilizes the dual prompt tuning channel to capture the semantic correlation between vulnerability descriptions and commits, especially in data scarcity (i.e., few-shot) scenarios. We first input the commit message and code changes with the vulnerability description into the prompt generator to generate two new inputs with prompt templates. Then, we adopt a pre-trained language model (i.e., PLM) as the encoder, utilize the prompt tuning method to fine-tune the encoder, and generate two correlation probabilities as the semantic features. In addition, we extract 26 handcrafted features from the vulnerability descriptions and the code commits. Finally, we utilize the attention mechanism to fuse the

In environmental monitor architecture, the usual way of processing data is centralized. On the one hand, this leads to a long time of data processing, and with the increasing number of monitoring sensors, the pressure of data processing in data centers increases sharply. The edge computing provides a feasible solution to relieve the processing pressure and decrease the delay of data processing in data center. However, in the environmental monitor system, the edge servers are often load unbalance because of the nonuniform distribution of sensors. While, it is usually ignored in recently researches. In this paper, we proposed a cooperative offloading strategy (MECOGA) based on genetic algorithm (GA). It aims to ease the data processing pressure and reduce the data processing time in the data center. In addition, the load balance of edge servers is also one of our optimization goals. In this paper, we aim at decreasing task processing delay and improving the system load balancing. Contrast to other algorithms, our MECOGA decreases the delay near 20% before collaborative loading. And the balance variance is 15% smaller than the Balance strategy. © 2022 Association for Computing Machinery.
