In contextual information retrieval, the retrieval of information depends on the time and place of submitting query, history of interaction, task in hand, and many other factors that are not given explicitly but implicitly lie in the interaction and surroundings of searching, namely the context. User's cognition is one of important contextual factors for understanding his or her personal needs. We propose a model called DOSAM to get user's individual cognitive structure on domain knowledge. DOSAM is developed from the spreading-activation model of psychology and is established on the domain ontology. The cost analysis of algorithm shows that it is feasible to get cognitive structure by DOSAM. Personalized search experimental results on digital library indicate that DOSAM can help improve the search effectiveness and user's satisfaction.

This paper focuses on the problem that how to select the optimal service among many Web services which all meet the functional needs,establishes an index system for Web services products selection from four aspects,namely the supply side,the user,product and *** on this,we collect the views of 30 experts by Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method and calculate the weight of each index at all levels based on the data collected from questionnaire *** the overall sample data analysis,we put two types of sample data namely business operation experts and academics for comparative *** Web services selection model proposed in this article can provide the reference to Web services managers when they selecting Web services,and also contributes to in-depth research on the adoption of Web services based information system.

Numerous high-performance updatable learned indexes have recently been designed to support the writing requirements in practical systems. Researchers have proposed various strategies to improve the availability of updatable learned indexes. However, it is unclear which strategy is more profitable. Therefore, we deconstruct the design of learned indexes into multiple dimensions and in-depth evaluate their impacts on the overall performance, respectively. Through the in-depth exploration of learned indexes, we reckon that the approximation algorithm is the most crucial design dimension for improving the performance of the learned indexes rather than the popular works that focus on the learned index structure. Moreover, this paper makes a comprehensive end-to-end evaluation based on a high-performance key-value store to answer people’s concerns about which learned index is better and whether learned indexes can outperform traditional ones. Finally, according to end-to-end and in-depth evaluation results, we give some constructive suggestions on designing a better learned index in these dimensions, especially how to design an excellent approximate algorithm to improve the lookup and insertion performance of learned indexes.

Frequent itemsets mining is an important problem in data mining. Frequent closed itemsets mining provides complete and condensed information for frequent pattern analysis thus reduces the memory cost without accuracy loss. More research focus on stream mining with the more application of stream. Stream is fast and unlimited thus data had to be stored in limited memory, how to save running time and memory usage is the most important target. In this paper, we propose an improved frequent closed itemsets mining method based on traditional stream mining algorithm CFI-stream with bitmap coding named CLIMB (closed itemset mining with bitmap) over stream's sliding window. The distinct items are maintained in memory in lexicographic order and each itemset is coded to bit-sequence with the order of items, moreover, the bit-sequence is split into sections to be recoded to reduce the memory cost. The experimental results on real-life show that CLIMB algorithm is effective and efficient.

Trajectories representing the motion of moving objects are typically obtained via location sampling, e.g. using GPS or road-side sensors, at discrete time-instants. In-between consecutive samples, nothing is known about the whereabouts of a given moving object. Various models have been proposed (e.g., sheared cylinders;spacetime prisms) to represent the uncertainty of the moving objects both in unconstrained Euclidian space, as well as road networks. In this paper, we focus on representing the uncertainty of the objects moving along road networks as time-dependent probability distribution functions, assuming availability of a maximal speed on each road segment. For these settings, we introduce a novel indexing mechanism - UTH (Uncertain Trajectories Hierarchy), based upon which efficient algorithms for processing spatio-temporal range queries are proposed. We also present experimental results that demonstrate the benefits of our proposed methodologies.

It has been observed that both cancer tissue cells and normal proliferating cells(NPCs)have the Warburg *** goal here is to demonstrate that they do this for different *** accomplish this,we have analyzed the transcriptomic data of over 7000 cancer and control tissues of 14 cancer types in TCGA and data of five NPC types in *** analyses reveal that NPCs accumulate large quantities of ATPs produced by the respiration process before starting the Warburg effect,to raise the intracellular pH from 6.8 to 7.2 and to prepare for cell division *** cell cycle starts,the cells start to rely on glycolysis for ATP generation followed by ATP hydrolysis and lactic acid release,to maintain the elevated intracellular pH as needed by cell division since together the three processes are pH *** cells go back to the normal respirationbased ATP production once the cell division phase *** comparison,cancer cells have reached their intracellular pH at 7.4 from top down as multiple acid-loading transporters are up-regulated and most acid-extruding ones except for lactic acid exporters are *** cells use continuous glycolysis for ATP production as way to acidify the intracellular space since the lactic acid secretion is decoupled from glycolysis-based ATP generation and is pH balanced by increased expressions of acid-loading ***-expression analyses suggest that lactic acid secretion is regulated by external,non-pH related ***,our data strongly suggest that the two cell types have the Warburg effect for very different reasons.

Spreadsheets contain a lot of valuable data and have many practical *** key technology of these practical applications is how to make machines understand the semantic structure of spreadsheets,e.g.,identifying cell function types and discovering relationships between cell *** existing methods for understanding the semantic structure of spreadsheets do not make use of the semantic information of cells.A few studies do,but they ignore the layout structure information of spreadsheets,which affects the performance of cell function classification and the discovery of different relationship types of cell *** this paper,we propose a Heuristic algorithm for Understanding the Semantic Structure of spreadsheets(HUSS).Specifically,for improving the cell function classification,we propose an error correction mechanism(ECM)based on an existing cell function classification model[11]and the layout features of *** improving the table structure analysis,we propose five types of heuristic rules to extract four different types of cell pairs,based on the cell style and spatial location *** experimental results on five real-world datasets demonstrate that HUSS can effectively understand the semantic structure of spreadsheets and outperforms corresponding baselines.

In this paper, we present a system called CRO (Chinese Review Observer) for online product review structurization. By Structurization, we mean identifying, extracting and summarizing information from unstructured review text to a structured table. The core tasks include review collection, product feature and user opinion extraction, and polarity analysis of opinions. Existing research in this area is mainly English text oriented. To deal with Chinese effectively, we propose several novel approaches for fulfilling the core tasks. Then we integrated these approaches and implement the whole procedure of review structurization in the system CRO. Running results for reviews of real products show its performance is satisfactory.
