Fan plays an irreplaceable role in the ventilation of underground environment. It will cause serious consequences once the fan fails. So it is essential to do fault diagnosis of fan to prevent the emergence of break down. Spectral analysis method is a simple and effective method for signal analysis and it has been widely used in fault diagnosis of rotating machinery. This paper has researched the bearing fault of fan on the base of in-depth study of the frequency characteristics of typical faults fan. High-frequency noise of vibration signal has been removed through wavelet soft thresholding method. Get its spectrum characteristic of the reconstructed signal, and then the failure category of signal is discriminated by comparing its characteristic frequency to typical faults frequency in theory. Combining the advantage of labVIEW and MATlab, we implement the algorithm through two of them, accomplishing denoising and spectral analysis of vibration signals, completing fault diagnosis of fan. © 2015 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

Lung adenocarcinoma is the most common type of lung cancer. Known risk variants explain only a small fraction of lung adenocarcinoma heritability. Here, we conducted a two-stage genome-wide association study of lung adenocarcinoma of East Asian ancestry (21,658 cases and 150,676 controls; 54.5% never-smokers) and identified 12 novel susceptibility variants, bringing the total number to 28 at 25 independent loci. Transcriptome-wide association analyses together with colocalization studies using a Taiwanese lung expression quantitative trait loci dataset (n = 115) identified novel candidate genes, including FADS1 at 11q12 and ELF5 at 11p13. In a multi-ancestry meta-analysis of East Asian and European studies, four loci were identified at 2p11, 4q32, 16q23, and 18q12. At the same time, most of our findings in East Asian populations showed no evidence of association in European populations. In our studies drawn from East Asian populations, a polygenic risk score based on the 25 loci had a stronger association in never-smokers vs. individuals with a history of smoking (P = 0.0058). These findings provide new insights into the etiology of lung adenocarcinoma in individuals from East Asian populations, which could be important in developing translational applications.

Distributed fiber temperature sensor using a laser diode modulated by a pseudo-random bit sequence

We propose and demonstrate a scheme to measure the distribution of temperature along an optical fiber based on pseudo-random sequence modulation. In our experimental work, current modulation with a pseudo-random bit sequence （PRBS） is applied to a laser diode that serves as the Brillouin pump light and reference light. Because of the independence of the spatial resolution on the PRBS length~ the measurement range can be extended while maintaining high spatial resolution using a long PRBS length. Temperature-induced changes in a Brillouin frequency shift of 250 m fiber sections are clearly observed with 54 cm spatial resolution by this method.

According to the small variety of received signals in a short timeslot, the OMP spectrum sensing algorithm based on differential signal is proposed. Firstly the algorithm differentiates the previous signal and current signal, and detects its spectrum to acquire the information of channel variation. Secondly the current channel state is exclusive OR of the previous channel state and channel variation. At last, the current occupied spectrum can be obtained by the channel state. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can greatly reduce computational complexity and achieve a better performance. © 2015 Taylor & Francis Group, London.

Single Point Incremental Forming (SPIF) has become a popular technology of forming sheet materials in the recent decades. However, the springback phenomenon, an inborn property of almost all elasto-plastic materials, reduces the precision of dimensions of the products by the finished forming session. This paper attempts to find out a measure to minimize this unwanted obstacle by using both empirical and simulating methods in order to define the relations of springback values among the forming parameters such as diameter of the forming tool, its revolution per minute, its velocity and its feed rate. Analyzing these equations to extract the appropriate parameters of forming for enhancing the precision of SPIF products is the final aim of this paper. © (2015) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Rice Color Sorter plays an important role in the postharvest rice processing assembly. The quality and price of rice export will be increased by using this machine for classifying finishedrice. This paper presents the designing, the slide-adjustment structure and the position of nozzles for a rice color sorter machine. Slides, nozzles and materials-catching slide are main factors in classifying-component of Rice Color Sorter. The relative positions of these factors will decide the accuracy and response-ability of identification process using the high speed CCD camera. Moreover, the relationship of parameters decides the relative distance between devices in classifying-component of Rice Color Sorter with a standard-work mode. It also gives suitableadjustment- structures for Rice Color Sorter responding the best image-identifying-control module of CCD camera. © (2015) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) is one of the key technologies for the next generation digital terrestrial television broadcasting (DTTB). This paper proposes a near-capacity MIMO bit-interleaved coded modulation (BICM) scheme for DTTB systems. The amplitude phase shift keying (APSK) constellation with Gray mapping is applied to the BICM scheme. From the perspective of average mutual information, APSK has the advantage of shaping gain compared to its quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) counterpart. Moreover, a new kind of bit interleaver named bit mapping, which takes into account the unequal error protection of both APSK and low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes, is proposed to further improve the system performance. The tool of extrinsic information transfer chart is utilized to help analyze and design the optimal bit mapping. Bit error rate simulations are carried out to verify the superiority of the proposed MIMO system.

Obstacle Avoidance for Kinematically Redundant Robot

Manipulator's obstacle avoidance is always a challenging topic in robotics. With the concern of the safety problems in human working environment, an improved obstacle avoidance method is proposed based on the general solution of the inverse kinematic problem of a redundant manipulator. A new obstacle detection method using Kinect R sensor is designed to give a robust obstacle information. By designing a parallel system of the manipulator, the proposed control method is not only to achieve the goal of moving away from the obstacle, but also able to guarantee the robot move back to its original pose. The stability of the closed-loop system is established using Lyapunov direct method to ensure the asymptotic stability of the system. The performance of the simulation results verifies the effectiveness of the proposed obstacle detection algorithm and the obstacle avoidance method. © 2015
