When tunnels are through water-bearing section of fractured rock mass, a complex interaction process between rock mass deformation and fluid transportation is one of the most important reasons for water gushing, water bursting and mud bursting. To study the rock mass deformation and fluid transportation in tunnel excavation under complex geological conditions, a hydraulic model of complex crack rock mass was established from the relationship between the crack growth degree of surrounding rock in deep buried tunnel and the engineering scale, with which fracture network of different levels in rock mass could be considered simultaneously. Furthermore, a computer Fortran program was put forward to simulate the solid-fluid coupling of excavation process of a deep buried tunnel. And it was found that the principal fractures had strong flowing action and network fractures had storage function and lag effect in seepage area. And the yield area of surrounding rock was increased under the coupling of seepage field and stress field.

In the paper, A total of 40 pure or two-mixed textile weaves were prepared and classification of these samples was introduced using near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS), all textile samples are selected among four classes, which are Cotton-Terylene, Cotton-Polyurethane, Cotton and Terylene, according to theirs components. Near infrared diffuse reflectance spectra of the samples were collected, Mahalanobis distance was used to discriminate the samples coupled with principle components analysis (PCA), the results showed that near infrared spectroscopy could determine which class one textile weave belongs to easily comparing with traditional methods. In addition, the expectation of the further research on qualitative determination of textile products by NIR technology was discussed in the end of this paper.

The objective of this study is to show the potential of the crack detection method based on Wavelet Packet Transform (WPT), which is depending on the response at a single point on a beam subject to moving load. In this paper, an A-SYS model of a cracked beam is established. The moving load is transient analyzed by shifting the point of the concentrated force. The response at mid-span of the beam is calculated and wavelet packet transformed. The crack on the beam can be found by the abnormal signal in WPT branches. The size is also estimated by a defined damage index (Dindex) which relates to the energy of the abnormal signal. Finally, the effects of both crack location and wavelet selection on Dindex are discussed in detail.

This paper illustrates the crack identification method combining wavelet analysis with transform matrix. Firstly, the fundamental vibration mode was applied to wavelet analysis. The crack location was found by the peaks of the wavelet coefficients. Secondly, based on the identified crack locations, a simple transform matrix method requiring only the first two tested natural frequencies was used to further identify the crack depth. The present method can be used for crack identification in a complex structure. Numerical results of crack identification of a stepped cantilever beam show that the suggested method is feasible.

A vibration reduction system of viscoelastic dampers is introduced into Kewitte single-layer latticed spherical shell (D=60m). Through dynamic FE simulation, the stability of controlled shell and the correspondent uncontrolled one is compared. The different vibration schemes with initial geometric imperfection under different earthquake loadings are especially investigated. The results show that Liapunov stability of controlled shell with viscoelastic dampers can be evidently improved when compared with the uncontrolled shell;the vibration reduction is more obvious when considering the initial geometric imperfection of the shell. The damper's parameters have great influence on the vibration control effort.

The developing processes of stress and deformation fields of a protected layer after mining an upper-protective layer with a bow pseudo-incline technique were simulated to locate the protection region. The pressure relief of the protected layer was analyzed after mining the upper-protective layer. The pressure relief angle along the strike and incline were located according to the roles of protection of the deformation and stress pressure-relief of the protective layer after mining. This results show that the upper-protective layer with the bow pseudo-incline technique have an upper and downside pressure relief angle of 85 and 68 degrees respectively; the distribution of strike pressure relief angles along the pseudo-incline working face is uneven and their values range from 38.3 to 51 degrees. The pressure relief angle of the inclined middle location was the largest. The distribution of the protection region of the upper-protective layer with the bow pseudo-incline teelmique located by practical tests and numerical simulation is essentially consistent, compared with the results obtained by these methods.
