Urban green space has significant influence on urban environment. In this paper, 6 types of urban green space were classified precisely through methods of human-computer interaction based on Pléiades images. Distribution pattern of different green space and the spatial structure features of the whole green space in the central urban area in Zhuhai city were analyzed. The results showed that (1) Zhuhai has good ecological environment with high green space rate of 51.54% and per capita green space area of 33.51m2. (2) The population density distribute unevenness and the green space didn't match the population density well. (3) Green space of park and green space of attached land were the main types in the central urban area in Zhuhai city. The composition of green space is different among communities and large differences appeared in various types of different communities.(4) The landscape metrics showed the green space in the central urban area of Zhuhai city had the characteristic of rich types, uniform distribution, high fragmentation and low agglomeration. These results provide data support for Zhuhai's declaration of 'national ecological garden city', and some suggestions proposed will guide for other small and medium-sized cities' urban green space planning and construction. © 2016 IEEE.

Forest network-construction uses for the method and model with the scale-free features of complex network theory based on random graph theory and dynamic network nodes which show a power-law distribution phenomenon. The model is suitable for ecological disturbance by larger ecological landscape Pearl River Delta consistent recovery. remote sensing and GIS spatial data are available through the latest forest patches. A standard scale-free network node distribution model calculates the area of forest network's power-law distribution parameter value size;The recent existing forest polygons which are defined as nodes can compute the network nodes decaying index value of the network's degree distribution. The parameters of forest network are picked up then make a spatial transition to GIS real world models. Hence the connection is automatically generated by minimizing the ecological corridor by the least cost rule between the near nodes. Based on scale-free network node distribution requirements, select the number compared with less, a huge point of aggregation as a future forest planning network's main node, and put them with the existing node sequence comparison. By this theory, the forest ecological projects in the past avoid being fragmented, scattered disorderly phenomena. The previous regular forest networks can be reduced the required forest planting costs by this method. For ecological restoration of tropical and subtropical in south China areas, it will provide an effective method for the forest entering city project guidance and demonstration with other ecological networks (water, climate network, etc.) for networking a standard and base datum. © Authors 2017. The development of airborne laser radar technology and cloud data processing technology provides a new technical means for the acquisition and processing of geospatial 3D data. Based on the self-developed LiDAR UAV, this paper proposes a new point cloud automatic classification method (TL-PCACM) of transmission lines by using the improved fast 3D convex hull construction algorithm, k-means clustering analysis algorithm and Region-growing algorithm, which have high classification accuracy, good classification effect and fast processing speed. The accuracy of point cloud automatic classification is over 95%, the efficiency can reach 60 km/h. The proposed method is applied to the analysis of tree obstacles under transmission lines. The efficiency of the automatic identification of tree obstacles can reach 720 towers/hour. The accuracy can reach 50 cm. It provides high efficiency, high quality, fully automatic and intelligent data processing method for the classification of tree obstacles, effectively improving the processing accuracy and speed of geospatial 3D information data. © 2019, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

The inspection procedure of Chinese high voltage power grid is mainly based on human inspection for many years. This is not only time-consuming and difficult, but the inspection results are also not objective and complete. Aiming at these problems, this paper gives a research method based on UAV-borne laser scanning. By taking the orthophotos of the power line corridor area and using the overlapping feature points of the image, the orientation elements of each photo are inversely calculated. According to the principle of aerial triangulation, the pixel matching algorithm is used to calculate the dense point cloud data of the survey area, and the power line point in the point cloud is selected to simulate the complete power line. By calculating the Euclidean distance between the power line and the power line protection area, the calculated result is compared with the power line safety specification to obtain information such as a tree barrier point or an early warning point. It can effectively identify many important defects such as wire-vegetation, wire-building, wire-crossing, etc., and greatly improve the quality and efficiency of the inspection process of existing high-voltage transmission lines. © 2019, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Typhoon Siamba made landfall in Western guangdong on July 2, 2022, causing great losses to crops in western guangdong. Radar remote sensing can penetrate through clouds and fog, is suitable for identifying flooded areas before or after typhoons and in rainy weather. However, radar flooded waterbody mapping faces two major problems: distinguishing between flooded areas and natural waterbody, and the other is noise interference from confusing ground objects. Aiming at these problems, the study proposes a method of high-precision cropland information combined with waterbody identification. Based on GF-3 and Mapbox data, this paper first uses watershed semantic segmentation to extract initial waterbody, then uses SegFormer deep learning technology to identify cropland, finally realizes flooded cropland mapping based on cropland information. This study concluded that the affected cropland in Zhanjiang and Maoming City, guangdong Province, China is 75.437 km2 and 31.175 km2 respectively. The cropland extraction accuracy and Intersection over Union (IoU) are 96.65% and 92.64% respectively. The study shows that flood monitoring combined with cropland identification information can effectively avoid noise interference and accurately extract the flood range, and achieve high-precision flooded cropland mapping. © 2023 SPIE.

Directional Analysis of Urban Expansion Based on Sub-pixel and Regional Scale: A Case Study of Main Districts in Guangzhou, China

Multi-scale data have had a wide-ranging level of performance in the area of urban change monitoring. Herein we investigate the correlation between the impervious surface fraction(ISF) and the Defense Meteorological Satellite Program/Operational Linescan system(DMSP/OLS) nighttime stable light(NTL) data with respect to the urban expansion in the main districts of Guangzhou. Landsat 5 Thematic Mapper and Landsat 8 Operational Land Image(OLI) data from 1988 to 2015 were used to extract the ISF using the linear spectral mixture analysis model and normal difference build-up index at the sub-pixel scale. DMSP/OLS NTL data from 1992 to 2013 were calibrated to illustrate the urban nighttime light conditions at the regional scale. Urban expansion directions were identified by statistics and kernel density analysis for the ISF study area at the sub-pixel scale. In addition, the correlation between the ISF and DMSP/OLS NTL data were illustrated by linear regression analysis. Furthermore, Profile Graph in ArcGIS was employed to illustrate the urban expansion from the differences in correlation in different directions. The conclusions are as follows: 1) The impervious surface(IS)in the study area has expanded to the northeast and the east, starting with the old urban zones, and the high-density IS area has increased by321.14 km^2. 2) The linear regression analysis reveals a positive correlation between the ISF and the DMSP/OLS NTL data. The multi-scale data changes are consistent with the actual urban planning of Guangzhou. 3) The DMSP/OLS NTL data overestimate the urban extent because of its saturation and blooming effects, causing its correlation with ISF to decrease. The pattern of urban expansion influences the saturation and blooming effects of the DMSP/OLS NTL data.

Reconstructing the Holocene megaflood history is a key component of understanding the mechanism of past climate change and assessing the potential impact of future catastrophic *** Pearl River is the longest watercourse in southern China,and its lower reach has been identified as one of the world's most vulnerable regions for flood ***,there is a complete lack of millennial-scale geological records of paleomegafloods for the future prediction of once-in-a-hundred(even once-in-a-thousand)year floods in southern ***,we identified a series of paleomegaflood deposits interbedded with wood-rich peat layers in the lower West Pearl River *** paleoflood layers have been well dated using AMS~(14)C dating *** to the regional correlation of the flood sequence,sediment characteristics and provenance analysis,there have been at least 7 megafloods corresponding to once-in-a-thousand-year events in the lower reaches of the West Pearl River during the past 6000 years,with an average return period of approximately 855 *** identified paleomegafloods were coeval with periods of strong El Ni?o-Southern Oscillation(ENSO),indicating that weakening of the Asian summer monsoon,associated with enhanced ENSO variability,may have triggered abnormally high precipitation leading to flooding of exceptional magnitude in southern *** addition,the most prominent paleomegafloods identified in the lower Pearl River coincided with intervals of lower precipitation and fewer storms in central-eastern China,indicating the intensification of the meridional“tripole”pattern of precipitation across eastern China during the latter half of the *** land use and deforestation over the last 2000 years have resulted in soil loss and rapid degradation of local primeval forest ecosystems,leading to more catastrophic *** amounts of rice pollen in the uppermost flood layer during the Song Dynasty indicate that this megaflood may have inu
