LMI-based criterion for global Mittag-Leffler lag quasi-synchronization of fractional-order memristor-based neural networks via linear feedback pinning control

This paper addresses global Mittag-Leffler lag quasi-synchronization (GMLQS) of fractional-order memristor-based neural networks (FMNNs). Firstly, for a general class of fractional-order nonlinear systems with interval uncertainties, a kind of linear feedback pinning controller, which works by feeding back partial state errors to the partial controlled variables, is designed to achieve global Mittag-Leffler ultimate boundedness (GMUB). Correspondingly, a GMUB criterion in the form of linear matrix inequality (LMI) is derived with the aid of a Lyapunov function and a newly established fractional-order differential inequality. Then, the linear feedback pinning controller is employed for GMUB of the synchronization error system, which is equivalent to GMLQS of FMNNs. Since there exists the propagation delay between drive-response FMNNs and the synchronization error system can not be obtained straightforwardly, an identical equation about Caputo's fractional derivatives is established to overcome this difficulty. Moreover, the detailed pinning control scheme design procedures for a prescribed GMLQS performance are presented, where the performance involves both ultimate error bound and transient behavior. In the control scheme, an auxiliary LMI and an optimization objective function are introduced, which can significantly reduce control cost. Finally, a numerical example is presented to show the feasibility of the control scheme. The results obtained in this paper have improved the existing criterion on quasi synchronization of FMNNs, and will also provide a novel insight into pinning control of fractional order nonlinear systems. The advent of single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) has facilitated the acquisition of high-resolution data regarding cell heterogeneity across various tissues. A fundamental and critical step in the analysis of scRNA-seq data is cell type identification. An appropriate graph construction strategy can reflect the topological structure between cells and allows for detailed exploration of the relationships between cells and genes. Given the sparsity of scRNA-seq data and the pronounced noise generated by shallow sequencing, choosing an appropriate graph construction strategy has become a significant challenge. In this paper, we propose a single-cell clustering method, named Sc-PNNMF, based on structural perturbation of nonnegative matrix factorization. Sc-PNNMF employs a structural perturbation algorithm to optimize the gene expression matrix. The optimized matrix guides the matrix factorization process, effectively overcoming the impact of data sparsity and significant noise in gene expression data on the graph construction strategy. We compared the clustering abilities of Sc-PNNMF with five other methods on ten real datasets. © 2024 IEEE.

Most existing one-shot skeleton-based action recognition focuses on raw low-level information (e.g., joint location), and may suffer from local information loss and low generalization ability. To alleviate these, we propose to leverage text description generated from large language models (LLM) that contain high-level human knowledge, to guide feature learning, in a global-local-global way. Particularly, during training, we design 2 prompts to gain global and local text descriptions of each action from an LLM. We first utilize the global text description to guide the skeleton encoder focus on informative joints (i.e.,global-tolocal). Then we build non-local interaction between local text and joint features, to form the final global representation (i.e., local-to-global). To mitigate the asymmetry issue between the training and inference phases, we further design a dual-branch architecture that allows the model to perform novel class inference without any text input, also making the additional inference cost neglectable compared with the base skeleton encoder. Extensive experiments on three different benchmarks show that CrossGLG consistently outperforms the existing SOTA methods with large margins, and the inference cost (model size) is only 2.8% than the previous SOTA. CrossGLG can also serve as a plug-and-play module that can substantially enhance the performance of different SOTA skeleton encoders with a neglectable cost during inference. Research on cascading high-dimensional isomorphic chaotic maps

In order to overcome the security weakness of the discrete chaotic sequence caused by small Lyapunov exponent and keyspace, a general chaotic construction method by cascading multiple high-dimensional isomorphic maps is presented in this paper. Compared with the original map, the parameter space of the resulting chaotic map is enlarged many times. Moreover, the cascaded system has larger chaotic domain and bigger Lyapunov exponents with proper parameters. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of the presented method, the generalized 3-D Henon map is utilized as an example to analyze the dynamical behaviors under various cascade modes. Diverse maps are obtained by cascading 3-D Henon maps with different parameters or different permutations. It is worth noting that some new dynamical behaviors, such as coexisting attractors and hyperchaotic attractors are also discovered in cascaded systems. Finally, an application of image encryption is delivered to demonstrate the excellent performance of the obtained chaotic sequences.

image manipulation with StyleGAN has been an increasing concern in recent years. Recent works have achieved tremendous success in analyzing several semantic latent spaces to edit the attributes of the generated images. However, due to the limited semantic and spatial manipulation precision in these latent spaces, the existing endeavors are defeated in fine-grained StyleGAN image manipulation, i.e., local attribute translation. To address this issue, we discover attribute-specific control units, which consist of multiple channels of feature maps and modulation styles. Specifically, we collaboratively manipulate the modulation style channels and feature maps in control units rather than individual ones to obtain the semantic and spatial disentangled controls. Furthermore, we propose a simple yet effective method to detect the attribute-specific control units. We move the modulation style along a specific sparse direction vector and replace the filter-wise styles used to compute the feature maps to manipulate these control units. We evaluate our proposed method in various face attribute manipulation tasks. Extensive qualitative and quantitative results demonstrate that our proposed method performs favorably against the state-of-the-art methods. The manipulation results of real images further show the effectiveness of our method.

The goal of person search is to localize and match query persons from scene images. For high efficiency, one-step methods have been developed to jointly handle the pedestrian detection and identification sub-tasks using a single network. There are two major challenges in the current one-step approaches. One is the mutual interference between the optimization objectives of multiple sub-tasks. The other is the sub-optimal identification feature learning caused by small batch size when end-to-end training To overcome these problems, we propose a decoupled and memory-reinforced network (DMRNet). Specifically, to reconcile the conflicts of multiple objectives, we simplify the standard tightly coupled pipelines and establish a deeply decoupled multi-task learning framework. Further, we build a memory-reinforced mechanism to boost the identification feature learning. By queuing the identification features of recently accessed instances into a memory bank, the mechanism augments the similarity pair construction for pairwise metric learning. For better encoding consistency of the stored features, a slow-moving average of the network is applied for extracting these features. In this way, the dual networks reinforce each other and converge to robust solution states. Experimentally, the proposed method obtains 93.2% and 46.9% mAP on CUHK-SYSU and PRW datasets, which exceeds all the existing one-step methods.

This paper investigates the parameter identification of a state-of-charge dependent equivalent circuit model (ECM) for Lithium-ion batteries. Different from most existing ECM identification methods, we focus on identifying the functional relations between ECM parameters and state-of-charge (SOC). By transforming the ECM into an ARX model, a Gaussian process regression (GPR) approach is proposed, without using parametric functions to describe the SOC dependence of ARX coefficients. The proposed approach derives the posterior distributions of ECM parameters, thus is capable to quantify the estimation uncertainties. Another advantage lies in the flexibility of incorporating the knowledge of batteries into the prior distributions used in GPR, which enhances the estimation performance in the presence of noises. The effectiveness of the proposed GPR approach is illustrated by simulation examples under both low and high noise levels. Copyright (C) 2021 The Authors.

Security-constrained economic dispatch (SCED) is one of the most important problems in power system operations. Corrective SCED (CSCED) is a type of SCED that considers corrective capabilities of the power system and adjusts base case decisions according to post-contingency states. Because of the large scale of the CSCED problem, it is difficult for purely model-based approaches to meet the time limits in real-time practical operations. To leverage historical operation data, this paper develops a novel hybrid model-based and data-driven framework to accelerate the solution process of CSCED. In the offline stage, our previous model-based contingency filtering approach is utilized to label active statuses of contingencies against historical net load samples. In the online stage, a multi-label classifier based on the K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) algorithm quickly generates an active contingency set corresponding to the real-time net load. This active contingency set can be used to calculate the economic dispatch decisions in one shot. In addition, the accuracy of our framework can be further improved by adding an optional contingency filtering procedure at the end. Numerical testing results on the IEEE RTS-96 system demonstrate the accuracy and computational efficiency of the hybrid framework as compared to a purely model-based approach.

To realize a robust robotic grasping system for unknown objects in an unstructured environment,large amounts of grasp data and 3D model data for the object are *** reduce the time cost of data acquisition and labeling and increase the rate of successful grasps,we developed a self-supervised learning mechanism to control grasp tasks performed by ***,a manipulator automatically collects the point cloud for the objects from multiple perspectives to increase the efficiency of data *** complete point cloud for the objects is obtained by utilizing the hand-eye vision of the manipulator,and the TSDF ***,the point cloud data for the objects is used to generate a series of six-degrees-of-freedom grasp poses,and the force-closure decision algorithm is used to add the grasp quality label to each grasp pose to realize the automatic labeling of grasp ***,the point cloud in the gripper closing area corresponding to each grasp pose is obtained;it is then used to train the grasp-quality classification model for the *** results of performing actual grasping experiments demonstrate that the proposed self-supervised learning method can increase the rate of successful grasps for the manipulator.
