An expansion procedure to design partially decentralized controllers via model predictive control is proposed in this paper. Partially decentralized control is a control structure that lies between a fully decentralized structure and a fully centralized one, and has the advantage of achieving comparable performance as a fully centralized controller but with simpler structure. The proposed method follows the expansion method proposed in a previous paper where internal model control (IMC) was used to design controllers for non-square subsystems. The method requires computing the pseudo-inverse of a non-square matrix via pseudo-inverse factors. Instead, the proposed method uses dynamic matrix control (DMC) to design PID controllers for non-square subsystems without using additional factors. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated on several chemical examples. Simulation results show that the proposed method is simple and can achieve better performance.

The Duffing and Lorenz chaotic algorithm proposed of today are too simple in structure and have inadequate parameters, so that they are not suitable for the encryption in cryptography. By mixing the Duffing chaotic algorithm with the Lorenz chaotic algorithm, a new six-dimensional chaotic cryptographic algorithm with a more complex structure is proposed. The Lyapunov exponent simulation shows that the new chaotic algorithm has strong chaotic features. It can be used in the image encryption after undergoing a newly designed dynamic mapping.

In order to analyze the overlayed characteristics of Chen and Duffing chaotic phenomenon appeared in the electric power system, a new complex chaotic model is produced by overlaying Chen chaotic model with Duffing chaotic model. The features of phase space maps, Lyapunov exponents maps and time domain of the new complex chaotic model are analysed. The Lyapunov exponent simulation results of the chaotic model show that new complex chaotic model has strong chaotic features. The results of theoretical analysis and experiment show that the new complex chaotic model belongs to a hyperchaotic model. Finally, the analog circuits are designed based on the new complex chaotic model.
