Distributed containment control with dynamic leaders based on binocular vision

In this paper, we study the distributed containment control problem for multi-robot system with dynamic leaders in the presence of parametric uncertainties. The binocular vision system is used as the sensing device to provide real-time status information for the followers, so firstly, a new binocular visual model for dynamic target is established. Then RBF neural networks are employed to approximate the unknown nonlinear functions in the system model of followers, and the approximated values are introduced into the designed sliding mode controllers to make compensation. Finally, simulation results are presented to show the validity of the proposed control strategy. ©, 2015, Binary Information Press

Prediction of chaotic time series based on interval type-2 T-S fuzzy system

Fuzzy model based chaotic time series prediction has been extensively studied. However, traditional type-1 fuzzy system, whose membership functions are type-1 fuzzy set, has its limitation in handling uncertainties. Type-2 fuzzy system, whose membership functions are type-2 fuzzy set, has more adaptable parameters and design degree of freedom, making it more powerful in dealing with nonlinear and uncertain problems. In this paper, the interval type-2 fuzzy system, whose fuzzy space is divided by mesh diagonal method and consequent parameters are adapted by the forgetting factor recursive least square method while previous parameters remain unchanged, is applied to modeling and prediction of chaotic time series. Finally, the proposed scheme is tested by prediction of Mackey-Glass chaotic time series in case of noise free and noise condition, the simulation results show that the proposed scheme has a higher prediction accuracy and is powerful in handling uncertainties. © 2014 by Binary Information Press

In recent years, industrial manipulators are widely used in factories. To solve the problems of low efficiency and high joint jitter in ladle nozzle loading and unloading, a new trajectory optimization method is proposed. Firstly, a manipulator model is established on the base of mechanical construction and parameters of KR1000L750. And the 3-5-3 segmented polynomial interpolation approach is used to design the trajectory. Then a trajectory optimization model is proposed based on time and impact as optimization objectives. Secondly, the traditional whale optimization algorithm is improved by introducing a nonlinear adaptive convergence factor to balance the exploration and development of the algorithm. The improved algorithm has also added a new search mechanism during the exploration phase. To reduce the waste of exploration resources, the information on the current optimal solution is added by the Cauchy mutation method. Then, a decomposition-based multi-objective improved whale optimization algorithm (DMOIWOA) is proposed. The algorithm combines a penalty-based boundary intersection approach with the improved whale optimization algorithm. Six representative optimization algorithms are selected for comparison on the test functions. The DMOIWOA has evident superiority in convergence and distribution. Finally, the algorithm is applied to the trajectory optimization model to obtain a better Pareto front. In conclusion, the DMOIWOA can reasonably optimize the manipulator trajectory, improving the manipulator operation efficiency and reducing the manipulator jitter. © 2023 IEEE.

Hopf Bifurcation Hybrid control Strategy for Mill Main Driving System Under Unsteady Lubrication

Aiming at the vibration behavior of the main driving system of rolling mill when the lubrication condition changes, the Hopf bifurcation phenomenon of the system under unsteady lubrication condition is analyzed, and an improved hybrid control strategy is proposed to suppress the vibration of rolling mill. Firstly, according to the variation law of lubrication conditions in rolling process, the dynamic rolling moment of the main drive system under unsteady lubrication was given, and the torsional vibration mechanical model of the main drive system was established, and the Hopf bifurcation behavior of the system under boundary lubrication was analyzed. It is found that when the subcritical Hopf bifurcation occurs in the system, the main transmission system of the linker will experience sudden and destructive instability oscillations. Therefore, this paper proposes an improved hybrid control strategy to control the Hopf bifurcation behavior of the system. The traditional hybrid control strategy uses a single control parameter to control both parameter disturbance and state feedback. Here, two control parameters are used to control parameter disturbance and state feedback respectively. In the state feedback part, nonlinear feedback is used to replace the traditional linear feedback. After the control is added, the critical value of Hopf bifurcation can be changed and the stability region of the system can be increased by adjusting the control parameters of the disturbance part of the parameters. Here, direct Normal form calculation method is introduced to calculate the Hopf bifurcation specification of the system. By adjusting the control parameters of the state feedback part by the canonical coefficient, the system can be changed from subcritical bifurcation to supercritical bifurcation, the phase trajectory of the system can be changed from unstable limit cycle to stable limit cycle, and the amplitude of limit cycle can be controlled. The equation for the recovered spectrum is derived in spatially modulated interferometric imagers, which takes into account the pixel photosensor width. The results show that the effect of the pixel photosensor width on the recovered spectral intensity is related to the wavenumber and the intensity of the incident spectrum, which causes the broadband spectral waveform changed, and the distortion increases with the spectral bandwidth increasing. A mathematical algorithm is given to correct the distortion, and the experimental results show this method is effective. © (2012) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Circulating Fluidized Bed Boiler (CFBB) involves a kind of combustion boiler that can clean and desulfurize the coal efficiently in the combustion process. It is highly adapted to all kinds of high quality coals and low grade coals. CFB boiler has more superior performance, features and a wide range of applications than other boilers, accordingly, problems on automatic control underlined in the combustion process blocked its wide application. This is a typical thermal object, hard to control,and due to the special combustion type of CFBB that makes it a great inertia, multivariable, strong coupling, nonlinear, time-varying object. This paper designs an ART2-BP-BP Hybrid Neural Network of fusion cluster control system and completes data fusion from the data level, the feature level to the decision level. Results of simulation show that the control system in this paper is feasible and effective, in particular, the control system still has more satisfactory control effects in the case of a variety of sensor failures. © 2012 Springer-Verlag.

The most frequently used component of a wind turbine is bearing which failure could lead to malfunction and ultimately complete stall in a mission-critical equipment. Hence, bearing fault detection is an imperative part of preventive maintenance procedures in a wind turbine. This paper presents a free parameter approach to implement bearing condition monitoring and fault diagnosis. This approach extracts the amplitude and frequency modulations of faulty vibration signals that measured from a wind turbine system. The amplitude demodulation is inherent, and the fault frequency will be detected from the spectrums of the signal. The effectiveness of this approach has been validated by using simulated signal and experimental evaluation. © 2011 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.

In this paper, the problem of hierarchical cooperative spectrum sensing using double thresholds energy detector over imperfect reporting channels will be investigated. When taking error effect on reporting decision into consideration, the sensing performance will be affected. In the proposed scheme, we analyze the performance of hierarchical cooperative spectrum sensing over imperfect reporting channels and the "majority-decision-aided" weighting rule will be used in the fusion center. The analysis and simulation results show that there is a significant performance loss when the decisions based on hierarchical spectrum sensing are transmitted over imperfect reporting channels and the sensing performance is improved by employing the new weighting rule.

To solve the problem of premature convergence and search stagnation in traditional differential algorithm, this paper presents an adaptive dual model differential evolution algorithm based on cloud model(ADDEC). The variation model of ADDEC is produced by combining basic variation with cloud variation. And the adaptive operators are referenced respectively for scale factor and interactive probability during the operation of variation and crossover. The robustness and the convergence rate of the algorithm are enhanced. Moreover the relationship between global search and local search of the algorithm is improved. The diversity of the population is guaranteed at the same time. It is tested by typical high dimension benchmark function and compared with other algorithms, and the results show that the ADDEC has better precision, high convergence speed and makes it easy to jump out the local optimal solution.
