The Duffing and Lorenz chaotic algorithm proposed of today are too simple in structure and have inadequate parameters, so that they are not suitable for the encryption in cryptography. By mixing the Duffing chaotic algorithm with the Lorenz chaotic algorithm, a new six-dimensional chaotic cryptographic algorithm with a more complex structure is proposed. The Lyapunov exponent simulation shows that the new chaotic algorithm has strong chaotic features. It can be used in the image encryption after undergoing a newly designed dynamic mapping.

In order to analyze the overlayed characteristics of Chen and Duffing chaotic phenomenon appeared in the electric power system, a new complex chaotic model is produced by overlaying Chen chaotic model with Duffing chaotic model. The features of phase space maps, Lyapunov exponents maps and time domain of the new complex chaotic model are analysed. The Lyapunov exponent simulation results of the chaotic model show that new complex chaotic model has strong chaotic features. The results of theoretical analysis and experiment show that the new complex chaotic model belongs to a hyperchaotic model. Finally, the analog circuits are designed based on the new complex chaotic model.

An object tracking algorithm based on SURF is presented in this paper. Interest points are detected by SURF detector in reference region which is located in the first frame manually. In the following sequences, the SURF feature points are extracted in a larger window which is selected as test region. In the matching stage, we calculate the Euclidean distance between the descriptor vectors of interest points in the test image and ones in the reference image. The proposed algorithm is implemented on an embedded platform with TI's DM6446 high performance processor. The experimental results show that our system implements a real-time tracking with robustness against appearance variations, scale change, and cluttered scenes.

Based on the principle that the selection of delay time and embedding dimension has no correlation in the process of phase space reconstruction, this paper puts forward a new method of identifying the embedding dimension by Cao Liangyue Theory (CAO Theory) after the delay time is identified by Mutual Information Function. By means of the numerical verification of a few typical examples of chaotic dynamic system, the result shows that the method can identify the valid delay time of phase space reconstruction and the best embedding dimension. In addition, a new way of identifying the chaotic signal is provided and this method can effectively reconstruct the phase space of the original system from the time series.

The nonlinear dynamical model of wind turbine generator drive system is presented considering nonlinear stiffness of the drive system. The frequency characteristics of wind turbine drive system incented by different forms, such as phase plane and Poincaré section are studied by simulation. The stability of wind turbine generator drive system is analyzed by using bifurcation and chaos theories. The stability of the periodic motion and the process of period-doubling bifurcation into chaos are further studied, and the effect of nonlinear stiffness on stability of wind turbine generator drive system is showed. The results show that negative nonlinear stiffness is beneficial to keep the stability of system, and when the chaos appears on the system, incentive parameter increases as the negative nonlinear stiffness increases.

Over the decade, due to the fact that the global energy resources are in deadly shortage, much emphasis is put on the energy consumption in thermal power throughout the world. Following developed is Circulating Fluidized Bed Boiler (CFBB) in recent years, a kind of combustion boiler that can clean and desulfurize the coal efficiently in the combustion process. Circulating Fluidized Bed Boiler (CFBB) is a control object with features of time varying parameters, large delay, and multivariable control tightly coupled. Noticeably, many factors influence the combustion process. This paper designs a three level ART2-BP-BP of data fusion--fusion cluster control system based on methods of multi-sensor information fusion and cluster analysis. It completes data fusion from the data level, the feature level to the decision level. Especially, the concept of Situation Threat Space aiming at the potential threats in CFBB is presented. Results of simulation show that the control system in this paper is feasible and effective, in particular, the control system still has more satisfactory control effect in the case of a variety of sensor failures.

Coordinated multipoint (CoMP) communication is a new method that improves energy efficiency, extends cell coverage, and increases capacity in cellular networks. However, since channel state information from the involved cells is needed in CoMP systems, practical systems that employ CoMP techniques suffer from constraints imposed by the backhaul network. In this paper, we take a novel approach to study the energy efficiency issues in cooperative wireless cellular networks with CoMP communications. Specifically, to derive the base station grouping decisions for energy-efficient transmissions in CoMP, we use stochastic predictive control algorithm. Simulation results are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
