Hoisting system is the key part of the girder hoister, and its reliability determines the stability and security of the girder hoister directly. Hoisting system consists of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic components. Owing to the multiple and complex failure modes and mechanisms of the components, the hoisting system's reliability evaluation is accomplished by Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) based on T-S model. Failure probabilities can be described as fuzzy possibilities and fault degrees are expressed in terms of fuzzy numbers, while events' relationships are described by T-S gates instead of conventional logic gates. A method to acquire knowledge about the premise and consequent events is given, in terms of fuzzy rules of T-S gates made up of fuzzy possibilities and fault degrees of components. Fuzzy possibilities of the intermediate events and the top event are computed by MATlab, in terms of information about field experiences and expert data. Considering the influence of fault degrees to the system at the same time, it offers reference to find and improve relevant weaknesses of the system, thus the dependability of the whole hoisting system is improved. © 2010 IEEE.

Based on multi-machine excitation control models, using fuzzy adaptive theory and considering the muti-machine nonlinear system whose states are not available, observer-based adaptive fuzzy output feed back control schemes are proposed. In this paper, the ant colony algorithm is used to optimize the fuzzy control rules. The simulation result shows that the controller can effectively improve power system stability under big disturbance. © 2010 IEEE.

A distinctive new LMS algorithm is proposed in his paper. Both fast convergence rate and small steady state rror can be obtained through non-linear weighting N errors of the current moment and past moments in this algorithm. The algorithm analyzed that the ideal step size is achieved by increasing the error information, building new nonlinear relations between step size factor and error function and eliminating the effect of correlated noise sequences. Then the new algorithm is applied to the fixed satellite communications system in which the channel is affected by multipath effect and weather conditions attenuation. Simulation results show that the new algorithm converges faster than usual algorithms under approximate steady state performance. The signal BER performance is greatly improved with the new adaptive algorithm equalizer in the fixed satellite communications system.

To tackle the multi-objective problem in the process of tandem cold rolling, a mathematical model of multi-object optimization is presented. Taking equal relatively power and prevent slippage as objective functions. Aiming to the problem of Standard Genetic Algorithm (SGA), such as premature convergence, oscillation and over-randomization in iterative process, an Improved Adaptive Genetic Algorithm (IAGA) is applied to optimize the system. The algorithm decides the crossover rate and mutation rate of chromosome based on individual adaptive value in calculation process, make the start phase mutate obviously and later phase stable slowly and ensure the population development, seeking balance and entire convergence. Simulated results show that, in comparison with the actual rolling schedule, the optimization rolling schedule makes the reasonable distribution of tandem cold rolling power, gives the full play to equipment capacity, reduces the rate of slippage, improves the product quality, and the proposed method is demonstrated to be competent. ©2010 IEEE.

This paper presents a method of binocular vision obstacle detection based on SIFT feature matching algorithm. First, a model of depth measurement based on stereo vision is built, it does not require resume the three-dimensional coordinate of spatial point under the world coordinate system. According to the characteristics of the model, we proposed the binocular stereo vision calibration method based on parallel optical axis;Finally, the pixel coordinates of matching points are extracted with SIFT feature matching algorithm and completed the distance detection of the obstacle. The experimental results demonstrated the feasibility and effectiveness of the method. © 2010 IEEE.

A robust model predictive control (MPC) algorithm is presented for a class of discrete-time uncertain systems with time-varying delay, input constraints and norm-bounded nonlinear perturbations. By minimizing the upper bound of a cost function, an MPC state feedback control law is calculated at each step. The proposed MPC method for delayed system is delay-dependent, and it is effective to deal with nonlinear perturbations. It has been shown that the robust stability of the closed-loop systems is guaranteed by the proposed algorithm. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

In this paper, the technology of ZigBee based on wireless sensor network was adopted to carry out the real-time oxyhemoglobin saturation monitoring. C8051F340 was used to control UZ2400 as MCU(Micro control Unit). Electricity was consumed less than 2mA when it worked and electricity was consumed less than 1μA when it slept. This system can prolong the life time of battery effectively. And the system avoided tedious A/D conversion which the traditional sensor needs and its measure precision is good. © 2010 IEEE.

A measurement system was designed to measure the railgun's parameters in launching process,which includes Rogowski coil sensor for measuring rail's current,B-dot probe for obversing projectile's velocity in bore,net target for catching muzzle velocity,signal condition circuit and high-speed data acquisition card for analyzing and storing *** software was also developed in WINDOWS operational environment via modularized *** designed sensors and test software were successfully used in a practical electromagnetic railgun system to monitor the process of *** test results indicate that the state of launching can be intuitively observed and the parameters are accurately acquired and *** software design method can shorten the development cycle,enhance the system's flexibility and provide the interface for the secondary *** system shows great *** is an effective and practical measurement platform for further research on the electromagnetic launch system.

Real sense image generation algorithm is an important part of computer graphics, in which realistic terrain generation has become a difficulty and hot spot in recent years. Virtual three-dimensional terrain modeling uses computer graphics technology to implement. In this paper, based on fractal Brownian motion theory, the classical Diamond-Square algorithm was advanced to form virtual three-dimensional terrain modeling. Terrain Splicing and Stitch Border techniques and terrain texture mapping, light mapping technique were used to deal with the terrain light and texture and stitch the border. The algorithm parameters were also analyzed in this paper and the influence effects of the various parameters on the virtual terrain features was got. With the combining use of Visual C++ 2005 and OpenGL, terrain generation and rendering are achieved. This approach has reached the expected results and a realistic three-dimensional graphics effect was obtained. © 2010 IEEE.

For characterizing the series augmented railgun launching process, the study from analysis of muzzle voltage was insufficient since armature velocity, resistance and voltage drop of armature were also important to the launching process. In the present work, the variations of armature velocity, total resistance and voltage drop of armature against time were investigated based on the data of B-dot probes (to measure position of armature), Rogowsky coil (to monitor current) and high voltage probes (to observe muzzle voltage). Results indicated that, the voltage drop of armature and total resistance showed roughly the same trend as the change of velocity. There were obvious stages observed in two-turn series augmented railgun launching process. ©2010 IEEE.
