Using particle swarm optimization to solve asynchronous measurements bearings-only target tracking

In human object tracking technology by using pyroelectric infrared sensor (PIR), PIR is used to be in static condition to realize localization through creating overlapping detection regions. In this paper, we developed a wireless pyroelectric sensor network (WPSN) in which the PIR is dynamic. It can measure the direction of a thermal target moving through monitoring area and produce a detecting-angle sequence. To this asynchronous measurements bearing-only (ABO), we analyzed the relationship between the detecting-angle sequence and the discrete points in polar coordinates of moving target trajectory, found that the target trace is determined by the polar radius sequence. So, a multi-dimensional polar diameter particle swarm optimization (PSO) space is established. Meanwhile, a fitness function to evaluate the particle's merits is proposed. In the end, the algorithm is applied. Compared with static perception localization, the proposed method is an effective solution to enlarge the detection range, reduce the number of PIR sensors, simplify the equipment. With the springing up of the MEMS industry,research on accelerometers is focused on miniaturization, integration,high reliability,and high resolution,and shares extensive application prospects in military and civil *** with the traditional single cantilever beam structure or ＂cantilever-mass＂ structure,the proposed structure of ＂8-beams/mass＂ with its varistor completely symmetric distribution in micro-silicon piezoresistive triaxial accelerometer in this paper has a higher axial sensitivity and smaller cross-axis *** ANSYS, the process of structural analysis and the manufacturing flow of sensing unit are *** dynamic testing conditions, it can be concluded that the axial sensitivity of x,y,and z are Sx-48μV/g,Sy = 54μV/g and Sz = 217μV/g respectively,and the nonlinearities are 0.4%,0.6%and 0.4%.

R-L-MS-L filter function for CT image reconstruction

In X-ray computer tomography (CT), convolution back projection is a fundamental algorithm for CT image reconstruction. As filtering plays an important part in convolution back projection, the choice of filter has a direct impact upon the quality of reconstructed images. Aim at improving reconstructed image quality, a new mixed filter based on the idea of "first weighted average then linear mixing" is designed in this article, denoted by R-L-MS-L. Here, R-L filter is relied on to guarantee the spatial resolution of reconstructed image and S-L filter is processed via 3-point weighted averaging to improve the density resolution, thus enhancing the overall reconstruction quality. Gaussian noise of different coefficients is added to the projection data to contrast the noise performance of the new and traditional mixed filters. The simulation and experiment results show that the new filter is better in anti-noise performance and produces reconstructed images with notably improved quality. © 2016 Universitas Ahmad Dahlan.

A Bionic Fish Cilia Median-Low Frequency Three-Dimensional Piezoresistive MEMS Vector Hydrophone

A bionic fish cilia median-low frequency three-dimensional MEMS vector hydrophone is reported in this paper. The piezoresistive reasonable position was obtained through finite element analysis by ANSYS and the structure was formed by MEMS processes including lithography, ion implantation, PECVD and etching,etc. The standing wave barrel results show that the lowest sensitivity of the hydrophone is-200 d B and reach up to-160 d B(in which the voltage amplification factor is 300). It has a good frequency response characteristics in 25 Hz ～ 1500 Hz band. Directivity tests displayed that the hydrophone has a good "8"-shaped directivity,in which the resolution is not less than 30 d B, and asymmetry of the maximum axial sensitivity value is less than 1.2 d B.

Coupled resonator-induced transparency on a three-ring resonator

The coupled resonator-induced transparency （CRIT） phenomenon, which is analogous to electromagnetically induced transparency in atomic systems, can occur in an original integrated optical resonator system due to the coherent interference of the coupled optical resonators. The system was composed of three ring resonators on silicon, each with the same cavity size, and the optical coupling to the input and output ports was achieved using grating with a power coupling efficiency of 36%. A CRIT resonance whose spectrum shows a narrow transparency peak with a low group velocity was demonstrated. The quality factor of the ring resonator can attain a value up to 6x 104, and the harmonic wavelength can be controlled by adjusting the temperature. The through and drop transmission spectra of the resonator are reconciled well with each other and also consistent well with the theoretical analysis.

A readout system for passive pressure sensors

This paper presents a readout system for the passive pressure sensors which consist of a pressure- sensitive capacitor and an inductance coil to form an LC circuit. The LC circuit transforms the pressure variation into the LC resonant frequency shift. The proposed system is composed of a reader antenna inductively coupled to the sensor inductor, a measurement circuit, and a PC post-processing unit. The measurement circuit generates a DC output voltage related to the sensor＇s resonant frequency and converts the output voltage into digital form. The PC post-processing unit processes the digital data and calculates the sensor＇s resonant frequency. To test the performance of the readout system, a sensor is designed and fabricated based on low temperature co-fired ceramic （LTCC）, and a series of testing experiments is carried out. The experimental results show good agreement with the impedance analyzer＇s results, their error is less than 2.5%, and the measured values are almost insensitive to the variation of readout distance. It proves that the proposed system is effective practically.

Research on laser warning receiver based coherent detecting principle and ratio of signal to noise analysis of its optical subsystem

Real time and reliable measurement of the wavelength and arriving direction of tunable pulsed laser in harsh environment is a challenge issue in optoelectronic countermeasure. In order to discriminate the hostile laser beam from background light such as sunlight, glare of gunfire and lightning, coherent detection technology has been used in novel laser warning receiver. We have developed a grating-based laser warning receiver which can be used to detect the wavelength and arriving direction of pulsed tunable laser in the spectral range from 500-1100nm from harsh background. At first, using Fourier Fransform Principle and angular Spectrunm theory, The paper theoretically analyzed the SNR of the optical subsystem caused by sunlight, and the simulation results have been applied in the design of the optical subsystem, then, a laser warning receiver prototype based on grating has been designed, which consists of a transmission amplitude grating, a plant-convex cylinder lens, a linear CCD with 50 MHz driving frequency made by ATMEL Company, a High speed DSP TMS320VC5509 and a liquid Crystal Screen. The three months'trial in open air shows that the LWR has the following technical characteristics: measurement wavelength range is from 500 to 1100 nm, wavelength resolution is less than or equal to 10 nm, the Field of View is 22.5 in latitude or longitude, the incident angle resolution is about 1°, the responding time to laser threat is less than 0.1 s, the detecting sensitivity is less than 10 mW/cm2.

To study the relationship between the performance and the size of the filter, a W band rectangular waveguide bandpass filter was designed. First, a four cavity bandpass filter was designed, and then improved its structure to generate a transmission zero on both sides of the passband. The cross coupling structure reduces the rectangular coefficient by 25.7% and enhances out of band rejection. The simulation results of the three kinds of center frequency models show that the scale effect between the center frequency and the structure size. The parameters of the filter were analyzed by HFSS software. The results show that the center frequency is mainly controlled by the size of the cavity, the coupling structure mainly affects the loss of the filter and the thickness of the diaphragm can control the passband bandwidth. The 90 GHz center frequency model was processed and tested, and the test results were mainly agreement with the simulated results, which provides a reference for the design and simulation of the rectangular waveguide filter.

The terahertz waveguide directional coupler with double "tian-shape" is designed basing on the directional coupling principle of branch line. The branch lines closed to the waveguide width edge are bolding to increase stress and then the feasibility of processing will be improved. The coupler is analyzed and optimized by professional electromagnetic simulation software high-frequency structure simulator(HFSS).The results show that the coupling degree is 6.3 ± 0.2 d B in the range of 313 GHz to 383 GHz. It is almost close to the straight line in the whole frequency band. The isolation degree is less than-20 d B and the average insertion loss is almost close to 0 d B. The return loss in each port of the directional coupler are both less than-20 d B. Finally, the process of fabricating the coupler based on MEMS technology is described and the physical model is shown.
