In recent years, the increasing popularity of social media such as WeChat and Weibo has facilitated the communication among people. However, due to the characteristics like large scale, fast propagation, low quality and diverse modalities of social short texts, the short text clustering faces the challenge of sparse features, high dimension and noise interference. The traditional clustering method based on vector space model is not good for short text data processing. With the improvement of K-means algorithm, this paper proposes a short-text clustering algorithm named BK-means which alleviates the effect of data sparseness. Firstly, we preprocess the wordset by means of word segmentation, stop-of-word and other operations, then extract the biterm using the BTM to model the document, and get the document-topic, the topic-word distribution matrix. Finally, we use the proposed BK-means algorithm to cluster short texts of documents represented by vectors. Experiments on the short text data of Sina Weibo have proved that the short text clustering algorithm based on BK-means is superior to the traditional one, and both the F-measure and the purity are improved. © Proceedings of 2018 the 8th International Workshop on Computer Science and Engineering, WCSE 2018. The gradient vector flow (GVF) is an effective external force for active contours, but it's smoothness constraint doesn't take any image structure into account and the resulting diffusion equation is isotropic which would oversmooth weak edges. In this article, a novel external force named image structure adaptive gradient vector flow (ISAGVF) is proposed for active contours. The proposed ISAGVF employs certain smoothness constraint which is able to be adaptive to image structure, such that the ISAGVF snake would outperform the GVF snake in terms of noise robustness, weak edge preserving and narrow and deep concavity convergence, while possessing some other desirable properties such as enlarged capture range and insensitivity to initialization. Experiments on synthetic and real images manifest these properties of ISAGVF snake. ©2009 IEEE.

Recent studies have found that adoption of structure similarity index (SSIM) was successful in reflecting human visual characteristic better compared with traditional PSNR metrics. However this method shows some defects when evaluating the quality of blurred images and compressed degraded images at low bit rate. Good quality results were hardly achieved as they do not match the human vision system (HVS) well. This paper is to introduce a new image quality assessment algorithm based on wavelet-domain structure similarity (WDSSIM). The relative importance of the edge information under different scales is considered sufficiently in image quality assessment. The experimental results have demonstrated better consistency with the subjective perception for a large range of image types. ©2009 IEEE.

Knowledge engineering stems from E. A. Figenbaum＇s proposal in 1977, but it will enter a new decade with the new challenges. This paper first summarizes three knowledge engineering experiments we have undertaken to show possibility of separating knowledge development from intelligent software development. We call it the ICAX mode of intelligent application software generation. The key of this mode is to generate knowledge base, which is the source of intelligence of ICAX software, independently and parallel to intelligent software development. That gives birth to a new and more general concept ＂knowware＂. Knowware is a commercialized knowledge module with documentation and intellectual property, which is computer operable, but free of any built-in control mechanism, meeting some industrial standards and embeddable in software/hardware. The process of development, application and management of knowware is called knowware engineering. Two different knowware life cycle models are discussed： the furnace model and the crystallization model. Knowledge middleware is a class of software functioning in all aspects of knowware life cycle models. Finally, this paper also presents some examples of building knowware in the domain of information system engineering.

Multi-source heterogeneous information fusion is an extremely challenging problem because of the complex and highly irregular nature of environment. We consider decision fusion problem in the presence of m-dependent evidences in this paper. A new evidence fusion approach for decision of proactive service has introduced, which is extending of Class D-S Evidence method. We applied this approach in our active space project for seamless nomadic service of pervasive computing paradigm, good results have been attained. The validity of approach of this paper has been tested. ©2010 IEEE.

Association rules mining is a popular and well researched method in data mining research field , its purpose is to mine interesting relations between attributes in transaction database. Classic Apriori algorithm is one of the most influential association rules in mining boolean frequent itemsets algorithms, However, it has some disadvantages such as inefficient in generating candidate itemsets and frequently scanning database, it is not suitable for mining multiple dimensional data model which rise in recent years. A "second cut" method is proposed, which is on the basis of the Apriori algorithm. The algorithm applies to multidimensional mining association rules, and to some extent improved the efficiency of the algorithm. Referring to the manufacturing resource planning system (MRP) features of the retail points, the article sets up the sales association analysis data model based on the above algorithm. It proves that it can increase the sales dramatically by applying this methodology to the real business environment. ©2010 IEEE.

In this paper, we introduce a new research about mowing robot on obstacle avoidance and path tracking controlling theoretically and practically, and propose the mowing control method which based on computer vision. Lawn images collected by camera, through the extraction of programming dealing with lawn, obstacles and boundary characteristics to achieve edge separation. Through special processing algorithm to determine boundary arises and obstacles location, size and speed of the robot, with real-time capturing and processing. This paper gives the complete image recognition processing, and analyzes several methods of image filtering and edge detection, and proposes simple control algorithm for obstacle avoidance, and applies MATlab for obstacle avoidance simulation. The results show that: the method can correctly identify the obstacles and boundaries, through the output about location, size of the obstacles and boundary, border slope and speed of the robot to control robot mower. Most importantly, that computer vision applying in the mowing robot itself is an innovation. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

A new clustering classification approach based on fuzzy closeness relationship (FCR) is studied in this paper. As we know, fuzzy clustering classification is one of important and valid methods to knowledge discovery. One of problems in fuzzy clustering classification is to determine a certain fuzzy sample classification in given limited sample space. Another is its validity, that is to say, if the sample is resemble in sample space, its fuzzy type will be resemble too. In our research, firstly, using triangle arithmetic operator and triangle transference, we extend fuzzy equivalence relationship to fuzzy closeness relationship, and cluster. Secondly, importing fuzzy coverage based on fuzzy closeness relationship, we judge resemble type of resemble sample. Thirdly, we introduce the clustering classification method based on fuzzy closeness relationship and fuzzy coverage. The method can overcome information more loss in fuzzy equivalence. Finally, we test its feasibility. The approach is applied to knowledge discovery for risk prediction of electronic commerce market, good result has been gotten. ©2010 IEEE.

To save time, improve flexibility and guarantee accuracy of the navigation system of the mobile robots, a multifunction landmark and a new navigation algorithm are proposed in this paper. With the new algorithm and landmark the mobile robots can be located by only a single landmark, and can be navigated in a large area by serial landmarks. The simple configuration and the convenient material of the landmark increased the system 's flexibility and decreased the complexity of the algorithm. From the experimental results it can be concluded that the navigation system has fast navigation speed and high navigation accuracy. © 2009 IEEE.

Due to the personalized needs for specific aspect evaluation on product quality, these years have witnessed a boom of researches on aspect rating prediction, whose goal is to extract ad hoc aspects from online reviews and predict rating or opinion on each aspect. Most of the existing works on aspect rating prediction have a basic assumption that the overall rating is the average score of aspect ratings or the overall rating is very close to aspect ratings. However, after analyzing real datasets, we have an insightful observation: there is an obvious rating bias between overall rating and aspect ratings. Motivated by this observation, we study the problem of aspect mining with rating bias, and design a novel RAting-center model with BIas (RABI). Different from the widely used review-center models, RABI adopts the overall rating as the center of the probabilistic model, which generates reviews and topics. In addition, a novel aspect rating variable in RABI is designed to effectively integrate the rating bias priori information. Experiments on two real datasets (Dianping and TripAdvisor) validate that RABI significantly improves the prediction accuracy over existing state-of-the-art methods. © Springer International Publishing AG 2016.
