Study on moving target detection to passive radar based on FM broadcast transmitter

Target detection by a noncooperative illuminator is a topic of general interest in the electronic warfare *** of all,direct-path interference(DPI)suppression which is the technique of bottleneck of moving target detection by a noncooperative frequency modulation(FM) broadcast transmitter is analyzed in this article;Secondly,a space-time-frequency domain synthetic solution to this problem is introduced:Adaptive nulling array processing is considered in the space domain,DPI cancellation based on adaptive fractional delay interpolation(AFDI)technique is used in planned time domain,and long-time coherent integration is utilized in the frequency domain;Finally,an experimental system is planned by considering FM broadcast transmitter as a noncooperative illuminator,Simulation results by real collected data show that the proposed method has a better performance of moving target detection.

Cross-layer Joint Relay Selection and Power Allocation Scheme for Cooperative Relaying System

A novel cross-layer joint relay selection and power allocation (CL-JRSPA) scheme over physical layer and data-link layer is proposed for cooperative relaying system in this paper. Our goal is finding the optimal relay selection and power allocation scheme to maximize system achievable rate when satisfying total transmit power constraint in physical layer and statistical delay quality-of-service (QoS) demand in data-link layer. Using the concept of effective capacity (EC), our goal can be formulated into an optimal joint relay selection and power allocation (JRSPA) problem to maximize the EC when satisfying total transmit power limitation. We first solving optimal power allocation (PA) problem with Lagrange multiplier approach, and then solving optimal relay selection (RS) problem. Simulation results demonstrate that CL-JRSPA scheme gets larger EC than other schemes when satisfying delay QoS demand. In addition, the proposed CL-JRSPA scheme achieves the maximal EC when relay located approximately halfway between source and destination, and EC becomes smaller when the QoS exponent becomes larger.

An effective image tamper localization and self-recovery scheme that uses the rehashing model is proposed in this paper. The aim of the proposed scheme was to reduce the failure rate in detecting image tamper areas and achieve high rates of successful detection. To achieve this aim, the proposed scheme uses a set of hash functions which are called the rehashing model, gained an optimal decreasing collision method to detect tamper areas With an improved and accurate tamper detection rate, the tampered image can be recovered more accurately. The quality of the proposed scheme was tested with gray and color images. The experimental results indicated that the proposed scheme has good performance in locating tamper locations and allows image recovery with an acceptable visual quality up to 50% of the image content tampered. © 2016.

With the prevalence of group communications, how to implement secure broadcasting among group members has become one of the most important issues. Broadcasting is a point-to-multipoint communication, and secure broadcasting should ensure that only authorized group members can obtain the correct content of the message that is broadcast by a sender. In this paper, we propose a secure broadcasting method based on the generalized Aryabhata remainder theorem (GART). By the use of the RSA public-key scheme, the proposed scheme allows the sender to send one copy of an encrypted message to all group members, but only the authorized members can recover the plaintext. Analysis showed that our scheme is secure and efficient. © 2014.

Recently, support vector ranking has been adopted to address the challenging person re-identification problem. However, the ranking model based on ordinary global features cannot represent the significant variation of pose and viewpoint across camera views. Thus, a novel ranking method which fuses the dense invariant features is proposed in this paper to model the variation of images across camera views. By maximizing the margin and minimizing the error score for the fused features, an optimal space for ranking has been learned. Due to the invariance of the dense invariant features and the fusion of the bidirectional features, the proposed method significantly outperforms the original support vector ranking algorithm and is competitive with state-of-the-art techniques on two challenging datasets, showing its potential for real-world person re-identification.

The effects of gain and loss on the band structures of a bulk topological dielectric photonic crystal (PC) with C6v symmetry and the PC-air-PC interface are studied based on first-principle calculation. To illustrate the importance of parity-time (PT) symmetry, three systems are considered, namely the PT-symmetric, PT-asymmetric, and lossy systems. We find that the system with gain and loss distributed in a PT symmetric manner exhibits a phase transition from a PT exact phase to a PT broken phase as the strength of the gain and loss increases, while for the PT-asymmetric and lossy systems, no such phase transition occurs. Furthermore, based on the Wilson loop calculation, the topology of the PT-symmetric system in the PT exact phase is demonstrated to keep unchanged as the Hermitian system. At last, different kinds of edge states in Hermitian systems under the influences of gain and loss are studied and we find that while the eigenfrequencies of nontrivial edge states become complex conjugate pairs, they keep real for the trivial defect states. As an important figure of merit for characterizing the quantized collective behaviors of the wavefunction, Chern number is the topological invariant of quantum Hall insulators. Chern number also identifies the topological properties of the photonic topological insulators (PTIs), thus it is of crucial importance in PTI design. In this paper, we develop a first principle computatioal method for the Chern number of 2D gyrotropic photonic crystals (PCs), starting from the Maxwell’s equations. Firstly, we solve the Hermitian generalized eigenvalue equation reformulated from the Maxwell’s equations by using the full-wave finite-difference frequency-domain (FDFD) method. Then the Chern number is obtained by calculating the integral of Berry curvature over the first Brillouin zone. Numerical examples of both transverse-electric (TE) and transverse-magnetic (TM) modes are demonstrated, where convergent Chern numbers can be obtained using rather coarse grids, thus validating the efficiency and accuracy of the proposed method. As a pivotal technique in intelligent education systems, cognitive diagnosis (CD) serves to reveal students’ knowledge proficiency for better tackling subsequent tasks. Unfortunately, due to pursuing high model interpretability, existing manually designed models for CD often hold simplistic architectures, which cannot cope with intricate data in modern education platforms. Furthermore, the bias of human design limits the emergence of novel and effective CD models. To develop interpretable and more effective models, thus this paper proposes an evolutionary multi-objective neural architecture search (NAS) approach for CD. Specifically, we first adopt a comprehensive search space for the NAS task of CD: all candidate models can be encompassed by a general model that deals with three distinct types of inputs. Then, an innovative model interpretability objective is devised to formulate the architecture search task as a bi-objective optimization problem (BOP). To solve the BOP, we employ a multi-objective genetic programming (MOGP) as the search strategy to explore the search space. To make the employed MOGP search well, all architectures are first encoded by trees for easy optimization, and we devise a genetic operation and a population initialization strategy to expedite its convergence. Finally, the proposed approach is actually a MOGP-based NAS approach for CD. Extensive experiments show that CD models searched by the proposed approach exhibit significantly better performance than existing models and hold as good interpretability as handcrafted models.
