Boosting polyp screening with improved point-teacher weakly semi-supervised

Polyps, like a silent time bomb in the gut, are always lurking and can explode into deadly colorectal cancer at any time. Many methods are attempted to maximize the early detection of colon polyps by screening, however, there are still face some challenges: (i) the scarcity of per-pixel annotation data and clinical features such as the blurred boundary and low contrast of polyps result in poor performance. (ii) existing weakly semi-supervised methods directly using pseudo-labels to supervise student tend to ignore the value brought by intermediate features in the teacher. To adapt the point-prompt teacher model to the challenging scenarios of complex medical images and limited annotation data, we creatively leverage the diverse inductive biases of CNN and Transformer to extract robust and complementary representation of polyp features (boundary and context). At the same time, a novel designed teacher–student intermediate feature distillation method is introduced rather than just using pseudo-labels to guide student learning. Comprehensive experiments demonstrate that our proposed method effectively handles scenarios with limited annotations and exhibits good segmentation performance. Active Security Control for Networked Jumping Systems Under Asynchronous Dual-channel DoS Attacks: An HMM-based Approach

This paper aims to address the design problem of asynchronous controllers for networked jumping systems (NJSs), in which two communication channels are vulnerable to asynchronous denial-of-service (DoS) attacks. To this end, a hidden Markov model (HMM)-based active security control strategy is proposed to counter asynchronous dual-channel DoS attacks. Firstly, two maximum consecutive numbers are introduced to describe DoS attacks randomly initiated by adversaries. Subsequently, a mode-dependent predictor is designed to generate predictive states, which can be employed in the switched controller to stabilize the NJSs. Furthermore, sufficient conditions are derived by constructing Lyapunov functions to ensure the asymptotic mean-square stability of the NJSs under asynchronous dual-channel DoS attacks. Finally, a simulation using a space robot manipulator model is presented to validate the effectiveness and practicality of the proposed active security control strategy. © 2004-2012 IEEE.

On four conjectures of Heng-Ding and p-ary linear codes from monomials

Subfield codes of linear codes over finite fields have recently attracted great attention due to their wide applications in secret sharing schemes, authentication codes and association schemes. There are two major ingredients in this paper. The first ingredient is to solve four conjectures recently proposed by Heng and Ding (IEEE Trans. Inf. Theory, 68(6): 3643-3656, 2022). Besides, we also determine the weight distributions of subfield codes derived from x3 and oval polynomials over F2m. The second ingredient is to obtain two classes of p-ary linear codes from monomials over Fpm. We study the parameters of the constructed codes and determine their weight distributions. Notably, we show that the codes C(p) (xpi, pm) are optimal and almost optimal in many cases with respect to the online Database of Grassl. Finally, we observe that the derived linear codes also have the minimality property for most cases. © 1963-2012 IEEE.

A Miniaturized Bandwidth Reconfigurable Bandpass Chip Filter with Semi-lumped Topology and GaAs pHEMT Technology

A miniaturized reconfigurable bandpass chip filter with semi-lumped topology and Gallium Arsenide pseudomorphic High electron mobility transistor（GaAs pHEMT） technology is proposed. Semi-lumped topology is employed to instead the traditional lumped inductor with microstrip transmission line, which can reduced the size of the tunable filter significantly. Three-order series and shunt resonated bandpass filter is implemented with shorted stubs and metal-insulator-metal capacitors. Two transmission zeros are introduced with the series resonator and the shunted GaAs FET. By tuning the gate bias circuit of the FET, the capacitance of the series resonator is changed and the bandwidth of the filter is adjusted correspondingly. An equivalent circuit model is developed to interpret the mechanism of the proposed filter circuit. A reconfigurable on chip filter sample operated at 10 GHz is fabricated to validate the design. Two fractional bandwidth of 14.3% and 23.5% are tuned with bias voltage of the FET, while insertion loss of 2.4 d B and 2.2 d B are observed with the filter, respectively. The area of the chip filter is 0.86 × 0.96 mm2and is equivalent to an electrical length of 0.08 × 0.09λg2at center frequency. Measurement results agree well with the simulation ones.

Blockchain-Assisted Revocable Cross-Domain Authentication for Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks

With the rapid development of vehicular ad-hoc networks (VANETs) and the increasing diversification of user demands, interactions between different management domains have become more frequent. Identity authentication is an effective way to establish cross-domain trust and secure communication. However, the existing cross-domain authentication schemes of VANETs are limited to the same management or authentication technology for each domain and rely on centralized cross-domain identity management. Even distributed management solutions encounter latency sensitivity, security and privacy challenges. To address these challenges, we propose a blockchain-assisted revocable cross-domain authentication scheme for VANETs. The proposed scheme can establish trust between domain entities by deploying different authentication methods and using distributed management to avoid single-point failures. In addition, the scheme can revoke the identity of malicious vehicles by updating the group public key, thereby ensuring the security and privacy of cross-domain Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I) communication. This design avoids the additional impacts of blockchain technology constraints on the high mobility and real-time requirements of VANETs. Security analysis and performance evaluation show that our scheme can resist more attacks and has better security than other related schemes while also achieving a better balance between communication and computational cost. © 2025 IEEE.

NetPrompt: Neural Network Prompting Enhances Event Extraction in Large Language Models

Event Extraction involves extracting event-related information such as event types and event arguments from context, which has long been tackled through well-designed neural networks or fine-tuned pre-trained language models. These approaches require substantial annotated data for tuning parameters and are resource-intensive. Recently, Prompting strategies with frozen parameters, such as Chain-of-Thought and Self-Consistency, have delivered success in NLP using LLMs by generating intermediate thought steps. However, they suffer from the challenge of error propagation and lack of interaction between different thoughts. In this paper, we propose Neural Network-based Prompting (NetPrompt), a novel network-structured prompting strategy for event extraction. The core idea behind NetPrompt is to imitate the excellent information integration capabilities of neural network structures. Specifically, we first decompose the event extraction problem into diverse intermediate subtasks, and each subtask is represented as a node in different layers of the network, the output of the nodes in the preceding layer is fed into the subsequent layer. Secondly, we propose pruning strategies to adapt the reasoning overhead to different problems. Finally, we have conducted extensive experiments on two widely used event extraction benchmarks to evaluate NetPrompt. The results demonstrated that NetPrompt significantly improved the event extraction performance compared to previous methods. ©2015 IEEE.

Vector Field-Guided Circumnavigation for an Unmanned Surface Vehicle With Boundary and Obstacle Constraints

This article aims to tackle the challenge of rapid target circumnavigation by unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) under boundary and obstacle constraints through leveraging an emerging computing architecture specifically tailored for unmanned systems. Owing to the underactuation of USV dynamic systems and the presence of various time-varying surface disturbances, attaining rapid and accurate position control along with maneuverability poses a significant challenge to USVs. Therefore, when an USV maneuvers around a target in a confined search area with obstacles, it is essential for the guidance law to consider collision risks and environmental disturbances. This paper proposes a modified Lyapunov vector field with heading deviation compensation to circle the target in complex search regions. The vector field is designed to increase the radial velocity of the USV and accelerate convergence towards the target circle during the pursuit phase. By combining the proposed Lyapunov vector field with a boundary vector field, the USV can swiftly avoid boundaries and dynamic obstacles and then continue circling the target. The proposed computing architecture extends the application scope of the target circumnavigation to practical water surface environments, which is validated by extensive simulations and rigorous experiments. © 2025 IEEE.

In this letter, a set of circularly polarized (CP) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) cellphone frame antennas for mobile communication applications is proposed. The planar inverted-F antenna (PIFA) and monopole antenna operate at frequencies of 3.5 GHz and 5.5 GHz with impedance and axial ratio (AR) bandwidths overlapping at 11.4% (3.3-3.7 GHz) and 7.3% (5.2-5.6 GHz), respectively. To reduce the electromagnetic coupling between the two antennas, the V-shaped mental fence is added and different rectangular metasurface (RMS) arrays are adopted to enhance the CP radiation performances. This design not only covers 5G communication, LTE, and the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band. It also provides a communication strategy for future direct satellite communication from cellphones, enhancing efficient switching between satellite and cellular networks. © 2002-2011 IEEE.

Lifetime Prediction of Topcon Modules Based on Accelerated Damp Heat Life Tests

Tunnel Oxide Passivation Contacts (TOPCon) solar cells have achieved high efficiency and become mainstream product in the global photovoltaic (PV) market. However, their long-term reliability, especially under high-temperature and high-humidity conditions, lacks sufficient field validation, and there is a lack of lifetime prediction models for TOPCon modules. To address this, we developed a robust accelerated aging model by integrating an improved Peck model with a sigmoidal degradation function, incorporating internal humidity and temperature as critical factors. The model employs a particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm to calibrate activation energy and humidity sensitivity parameters, enabling precise degradation trajectory simulation. Validated through a "fitting + testing" framework, the model achieves high accuracy (RMSE = 0.7%) in predicting power degradation under Damp Heat (DH), Highly Accelerated Stress Test (HAST), and modified Pressure Cooker Test (mPCT) conditions. Accelerated aging tests reveal that DH-induced degradation primarily reduces fill factor (FF) due to finger corrosion, with minimal impact on Voc and Isc. Experimental validation using a non-commercial corrosion-sensitive BOM combination shows that polyolefin elastomer (POE)-encapsulated modules exhibit superior corrosion resistance, projecting a service lifetime 23 years longer than EVA/EVA encapsulation in high-humidity regions like Hainan. This work bridges the gap in TOPCon module lifetime prediction under extreme environments, offering actionable insights for optimizing encapsulation materials and enhancing reliability. The model provides a scalable framework for evaluating module performance under site-specific climatic conditions, accelerating the development of durable PV technologies. © 2025, The Authors. Total Field and Scattered Field Technique for Fourth-Order Symplectic Finite Difference Time Domain Method

Using symplectic integrator propagator, a three-dimensional fourth-order symplectic finite difference time domain （SFDTD） method is studied, which is of the fourth order in both the time and space domains. The method is nondissipative and can save more memory compared with the traditional FDTD method. The total field and scattered field （TF-SF） technique is derived for the SFDTD method to provide the incident wave source conditions. The bistatic radar cross section （RCS） of a dielectric sphere is computed by using the SFDTD method for the first time. Numerical results suggest that the SFDTD algorithm acquires better stability and accuracy compared with the traditional FDTD method.
