Compared with monochromatic holographic displays, color holographic displays have rich depth and color information, which can give observers a more pleasant visual effect. Inspiring by the adaptive weighted GS method, we introduced an optimized iterative method based on exponential weighted constraint to calculate phase-only holograms of color images. After channel separation of the target image to obtain each component image, the input complex amplitude is formed with quadratic phase and iterated. During the iteration, subtract the amplitude of the reconstructed image from the amplitude of the target image to construct an exponential constraint. This exponential constraint is applied to the signal area of the image plane. After calculating the three-channel phase hologram, a color holographic reconstruction can be obtained using the time multiplexing method. Simulated and optical experiments verify the effectiveness of this method. © 2023 SPIE.

A spatial light modulator based on inf-wavelength gold grating structure, named GLCoS by us, has been devised and tested to meet the challenge of the high space-bandwidth product in holographic video display. A sample GLCoS has been made and its display color appears green. However, if it is to be a device of a display system, its color characteristics must be further investigated, that is, its ability to display RGB color and its color purity. There are two MIM (Metal-Insulator-Metal) in the GLCoS, inf-wavelength gold grating plus liquid crystal cell and aluminum electrode forms a hybridized MIM and inf-wavelength gold grating itself is a MIM acting as an open-end TM-FP (TM-Fabry-Pérot) resonator. Based on our previous study involving GLCoS theoretical model, simulation software platform (FDTD plus CST Studio Suite) and an experimentally verified sample of single color, we seek an engineering way with simplicity and compatibility in the sense of the technique to investigate the red-green-blue (RGB) color display with GLCoS. Among the huge parameter space including the geometry and size of the structure, material, wavelength and light incident angle. We choose to change width of the slit, incident angle, LC (liquid crystal) birefringence to find the appropriate GLCoS spectral characteristics. The simulation results show that the dynamic modulation of the RGB phase can be achieved in the visible light band, and its amount of phase modulation is close to 2π and high chromatographic purity. © COPYRIGHT SPIE. In this paper, a high-efficiency transceiver antenna with embedded high magnetic permeability core of segmented two-turns loop is presented. It can be applied in the implanted device of monitoring human body neural with a wireless charging and bi-directional data transmission. The whole structure of transmitting and receiving antenna is basically similar;the difference is that receiving antenna is composed of double-sided ring and an embedded magnetic core at central position, transmitting antenna can be realized by dividing ring and welding fixed-value capacitor at corresponding position. The efficiency of wireless energy transfer has been improved and the specific absorption rate value has been reducing by simulation optimization. Compared with conventional loop antenna, our transmission efficiency has been exceed doubled and average SAR reduced by approximately 52%, when the distance of wireless transmission is 5 mm. Finally, we fabricate a conventional loop antenna, a segmented loop antenna with embedded magnetic core and a kind of mixed liquid that have the same dielectric parameters with skin at 402 MHz. Experiences show that actual results of transmission efficiency are in good agreement with the simulation results.

A compact broadband absorptive band rejection filter (ABSF) based on microstrip line is proposed. The filter consists of a pair of coupled wires and is loaded with a resistor. The coupling line of the filter has an open stub. The transmission zero point can be adjusted by adjusting the width of the coupling line. The center frequency can be adjusted by changing the length of the intermediate coupling line. Absorption performance can be achieved through loaded resistors. In this way, the signal not input in the filter will be dissipated in the filter and will not be reflected. When F0=3.8 GHz, 26% of the 20 dB bandwidth covers 3.15 GHz-4.2 GHz, the rejection depth of the stopband is less than-40 dB, and the in-band absorption is less than-10 dB. © 2020 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Analytical optimization for collaborative double threshold energy detection in cognitive radio network

The conventional 'OR' fusion rule is frequently applied in two pre-determined limits energy detection networks but its overall performance of the false alarm and miss detection probability is generally. The new method to optimize the total error probability in three combination schemes is proposed and the presented approach focuses on combining the k-out-of-N decision fusion with data fusion. General expressions for these probabilities are derived and an analytical solution for the optimal value of k is found minimizing the overall error probability. It provides performance analysis and comparison due to the different parameters such as SNR, the threshold coefficient, for the Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) channel. Numerical experiment results show there are superior performances of above fusion strategies as opposed to traditional hard rule, by selecting the right system parameters. 1548-7741/Copyright © 2012 Binary Information Press.

Controlling chaos in mixed TCP and UDP model

In this paper, a discrete time model of the mixed TCP and UDP connection with the RED is introduced. We use this one order discrete-time model to explain the instability, bifurcation and chaotic behaviors of the system. Then a time delayed feedback control approaches is applied to control the system in order to stabilize the chaotic behavior of average queue size. From numerical simulation it is concluded that the chaotic orbit can be stabilize to a fixed point when feedback parameter is properly chosen. Copyright © 2013 Binary Information Press.

In the real word, the complex problems usually have netted structure, namely netted problems. The general methods to solve this kind of problems are based on the sequence structural description or tree structural description of problem. But the netted structure of complex problem cannot be simple pictured by sequence or tree. To precisely describe the structure of netted problem and simplify the solution procedure, ordered AND/OR graph is proposed in this paper to depict the problem structure. The graph has the hierarchy of tree structure, as well as nodes in this graph have AND relation and OR relation. More importantly, among the siblings from the same father node there exits order relationships. In this paper, an applicable example is given, and experiments show that the description of structure of netted problem is effective. © 2013 Binary Information Press.

Direct optimization of partial AUC with tighter non-convex loss

Partial AUC is a popular performance metric used in many applications such as bioinformatics and biometrics. Optimizing this measure directly is often challenging since no close form solution exists. In recent work, Narasimhan et al. proposed two general SVM based approaches for optimizing the partial AUC in an arbitrary false positive range αβ. The approaches make use of a cutting plane solver based on the structural hinge loss, and a variety of real-world tasks demonstrate the approaches' effectiveness. However, the algorithms have one disadvantage that they are sensitive to the outliers. To fill the gap, in this paper, we propose a new support vector method with tighter ramp loss, which is capable of suppressing these undesirable effects. The algorithm adopts the structural SVM as framework, and defines the objective function based on the non-convex ramp loss. For the problem that the new objective function is neither convex nor smooth, we present to introduce the CCCP for non-convex approximating and use bundle method for the convex optimization. Numerical experiments on different data sets show that the algorithm we proposed is robust to the outliers, and can yield a more accurate model than the existing baseline approaches. © 2016 American Scientific Publishers All rights reserved.

Clustering based on fuzzy tolerance quotient spaces

The quotient space theory based on fuzzy tolerance relation is put forward to solve the problem of clustering in this paper. The similarity matrix does not always satisfy ultrametric inequality, theoretically and practically. We give the method to construct the hierarchical quotient space chain if the similarity matrix is only reflexive and symmetric. We consider not only the subset of data (cluster) but also the structure of the different granular clusters. The main contributions in this paper include four parts. (1) We introduce sufficient and necessary condition that normalized distance d(x;y) is an equicrural distance;(2) The relation between equicrural distance and ultrametric inequality is discussed;(3) We propose a method to get the proximate partition of a covering from a tolerance relation;(4) An example for using fuzzy tolerance quotient spaces to clustering is given. © 2011 by Binary Information Press.

Nonlinear dynamics in high-speed wireless networks congestion control model with TCP logwestwood+ under RED

In this paper, we proposed a first-order discrete time nonlinear dynamic model of congestion control system with TCP LogWestwood+ (TCPLog) connections and random early detection (RED) gateway in high-speed wireless networks. The model is used to analyze nonlinear dynamics of the TCPLog/RED network and its stability with respect to various RED controller and system parameters. Bifurcation and chaos behaviors are shown to occur when parameters varied. By theoretical derivation, the fixed point and the critical value are obtained, and the nature of the bifurcation is determined. Furthermore, bifurcation diagrams and Lyapunov exponent are exploited to verify the theoretical results. Finally, the bifurcation and chaotic phenomena of the congestion control system are numerically studied with TCPLog connections and RED gateway. © 2014 ACADEMY PUBLISHER.
